Transcript of Barack Obama’s Inauguration Speech

I know that not everyone was able to watch the inauguration of Barrack Obama today. I was fortunate in that I was able to watch the entire thing live. I was waiting to hear what his speech would cover, and what he would say now that he has the office and cannot be defeated in an election for saying the wrong thing. I have to say that I liked the speech, although I did see some hedging of bets and some things I didn’t like. But I will save my comments for later. I wanted to post the entire transcript of the speech here so that those who missed it might have a place to easily read it. We will be referencing it in the future blogs as we watch his first 100 days unfold.

Barack Obama was sworn in as the 44th president of the United States and the nation’s first African-American president Tuesday. His speech was pretty lengthy, over 2400 words compared to 700 words in Bush’s 2004 inauguration. This is a transcript of his prepared speech.

In his speech Tuesday, President Obama said America must play its role in ushering in a new era of peace.

My fellow citizens:

I stand here today humbled by the task before us, grateful for the trust you have bestowed, mindful of the sacrifices borne by our ancestors. I thank President Bush for his service to our nation, as well as the generosity and cooperation he has shown throughout this transition.

Forty-four Americans have now taken the presidential oath. The words have been spoken during rising tides of prosperity and the still waters of peace. Yet, every so often, the oath is taken amidst gathering clouds and raging storms. At these moments, America has carried on not simply because of the skill or vision of those in high office, but because We the People have remained faithful to the ideals of our forebearers, and true to our founding documents.

So it has been. So it must be with this generation of Americans.

That we are in the midst of crisis is now well understood. Our nation is at war, against a far-reaching network of violence and hatred. Our economy is badly weakened, a consequence of greed and irresponsibility on the part of some, but also our collective failure to make hard choices and prepare the nation for a new age. Homes have been lost; jobs shed; businesses shuttered. Our health care is too costly; our schools fail too many; and each day brings further evidence that the ways we use energy strengthen our adversaries and threaten our planet.

These are the indicators of crisis, subject to data and statistics. Less measurable but no less profound is a sapping of confidence across our land — a nagging fear that America’s decline is inevitable, and that the next generation must lower its sights.

Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But know this, America: They will be met.

On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord.

On this day, we come to proclaim an end to the petty grievances and false promises, the recriminations and worn-out dogmas, that for far too long have strangled our politics.

We remain a young nation, but in the words of Scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things. The time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit; to choose our better history; to carry forward that precious gift, that noble idea, passed on from generation to generation: the God-given promise that all are equal, all are free, and all deserve a chance to pursue their full measure of happiness.

In reaffirming the greatness of our nation, we understand that greatness is never a given. It must be earned. Our journey has never been one of shortcuts or settling for less. It has not been the path for the fainthearted — for those who prefer leisure over work, or seek only the pleasures of riches and fame. Rather, it has been the risk-takers, the doers, the makers of things — some celebrated, but more often men and women obscure in their labor — who have carried us up the long, rugged path toward prosperity and freedom.

For us, they packed up their few worldly possessions and traveled across oceans in search of a new life.

For us, they toiled in sweatshops and settled the West; endured the lash of the whip and plowed the hard earth.

For us, they fought and died, in places like Concord and Gettysburg; Normandy and Khe Sahn.

Time and again, these men and women struggled and sacrificed and worked till their hands were raw so that we might live a better life. They saw America as bigger than the sum of our individual ambitions; greater than all the differences of birth or wealth or faction.

This is the journey we continue today. We remain the most prosperous, powerful nation on Earth. Our workers are no less productive than when this crisis began. Our minds are no less inventive, our goods and services no less needed than they were last week or last month or last year. Our capacity remains undiminished. But our time of standing pat, of protecting narrow interests and putting off unpleasant decisions — that time has surely passed. Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin again the work of remaking America.

For everywhere we look, there is work to be done. The state of the economy calls for action, bold and swift, and we will act — not only to create new jobs, but to lay a new foundation for growth. We will build the roads and bridges, the electric grids and digital lines that feed our commerce and bind us together. We will restore science to its rightful place, and wield technology’s wonders to raise health care’s quality and lower its cost. We will harness the sun and the winds and the soil to fuel our cars and run our factories. And we will transform our schools and colleges and universities to meet the demands of a new age. All this we can do. And all this we will do.

Now, there are some who question the scale of our ambitions — who suggest that our system cannot tolerate too many big plans. Their memories are short. For they have forgotten what this country has already done; what free men and women can achieve when imagination is joined to common purpose, and necessity to courage.

What the cynics fail to understand is that the ground has shifted beneath them — that the stale political arguments that have consumed us for so long no longer apply. The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works — whether it helps families find jobs at a decent wage, care they can afford, a retirement that is dignified. Where the answer is yes, we intend to move forward. Where the answer is no, programs will end. And those of us who manage the public’s dollars will be held to account — to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day — because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government.

Nor is the question before us whether the market is a force for good or ill. Its power to generate wealth and expand freedom is unmatched, but this crisis has reminded us that without a watchful eye, the market can spin out of control — and that a nation cannot prosper long when it favors only the prosperous. The success of our economy has always depended not just on the size of our gross domestic product, but on the reach of our prosperity; on our ability to extend opportunity to every willing heart — not out of charity, but because it is the surest route to our common good.

As for our common defense, we reject as false the choice between our safety and our ideals. Our Founding Fathers, faced with perils we can scarcely imagine, drafted a charter to assure the rule of law and the rights of man, a charter expanded by the blood of generations. Those ideals still light the world, and we will not give them up for expedience’s sake. And so to all other peoples and governments who are watching today, from the grandest capitals to the small village where my father was born: Know that America is a friend of each nation and every man, woman and child who seeks a future of peace and dignity, and that we are ready to lead once more.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

We are the keepers of this legacy. Guided by these principles once more, we can meet those new threats that demand even greater effort — even greater cooperation and understanding between nations. We will begin to responsibly leave Iraq to its people, and forge a hard-earned peace in Afghanistan. With old friends and former foes, we will work tirelessly to lessen the nuclear threat, and roll back the specter of a warming planet. We will not apologize for our way of life, nor will we waver in its defense, and for those who seek to advance their aims by inducing terror and slaughtering innocents, we say to you now that our spirit is stronger and cannot be broken; you cannot outlast us, and we will defeat you.

For we know that our patchwork heritage is a strength, not a weakness. We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus — and nonbelievers. We are shaped by every language and culture, drawn from every end of this Earth; and because we have tasted the bitter swill of civil war and segregation, and emerged from that dark chapter stronger and more united, we cannot help but believe that the old hatreds shall someday pass; that the lines of tribe shall soon dissolve; that as the world grows smaller, our common humanity shall reveal itself; and that America must play its role in ushering in a new era of peace.

To the Muslim world, we seek a new way forward, based on mutual interest and mutual respect. To those leaders around the globe who seek to sow conflict, or blame their society’s ills on the West: Know that your people will judge you on what you can build, not what you destroy. To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history; but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist.

To the people of poor nations, we pledge to work alongside you to make your farms flourish and let clean waters flow; to nourish starved bodies and feed hungry minds. And to those nations like ours that enjoy relative plenty, we say we can no longer afford indifference to suffering outside our borders; nor can we consume the world’s resources without regard to effect. For the world has changed, and we must change with it.

As we consider the road that unfolds before us, we remember with humble gratitude those brave Americans who, at this very hour, patrol far-off deserts and distant mountains. They have something to tell us today, just as the fallen heroes who lie in Arlington whisper through the ages. We honor them not only because they are guardians of our liberty, but because they embody the spirit of service; a willingness to find meaning in something greater than themselves. And yet, at this moment — a moment that will define a generation — it is precisely this spirit that must inhabit us all.

For as much as government can do and must do, it is ultimately the faith and determination of the American people upon which this nation relies. It is the kindness to take in a stranger when the levees break, the selflessness of workers who would rather cut their hours than see a friend lose their job which sees us through our darkest hours. It is the firefighter’s courage to storm a stairway filled with smoke, but also a parent’s willingness to nurture a child, that finally decides our fate.

Our challenges may be new. The instruments with which we meet them may be new. But those values upon which our success depends — hard work and honesty, courage and fair play, tolerance and curiosity, loyalty and patriotism — these things are old. These things are true. They have been the quiet force of progress throughout our history. What is demanded then is a return to these truths. What is required of us now is a new era of responsibility — a recognition, on the part of every American, that we have duties to ourselves, our nation and the world; duties that we do not grudgingly accept but rather seize gladly, firm in the knowledge that there is nothing so satisfying to the spirit, so defining of our character, than giving our all to a difficult task.

This is the price and the promise of citizenship.

This is the source of our confidence — the knowledge that God calls on us to shape an uncertain destiny.

This is the meaning of our liberty and our creed — why men and women and children of every race and every faith can join in celebration across this magnificent Mall, and why a man whose father less than 60 years ago might not have been served at a local restaurant can now stand before you to take a most sacred oath.

So let us mark this day with remembrance, of who we are and how far we have traveled. In the year of America’s birth, in the coldest of months, a small band of patriots huddled by dying campfires on the shores of an icy river. The capital was abandoned. The enemy was advancing. The snow was stained with blood. At a moment when the outcome of our revolution was most in doubt, the father of our nation ordered these words be read to the people:

“Let it be told to the future world … that in the depth of winter, when nothing but hope and virtue could survive… that the city and the country, alarmed at one common danger, came forth to meet [it].”

America. In the face of our common dangers, in this winter of our hardship, let us remember these timeless words. With hope and virtue, let us brave once more the icy currents, and endure what storms may come. Let it be said by our children’s children that when we were tested, we refused to let this journey end, that we did not turn back, nor did we falter; and with eyes fixed on the horizon and God’s grace upon us, we carried forth that great gift of freedom and delivered it safely to future generations.

Congratulations to President Obama and to all Americans. The peaceful and orderly transition of power is something you can rightly be proud of. Your ability to self-correct through the various stages of your nation’s history augur well for your future.

As a foreigner who wants good things to happen in any and all parts of the world, I wish Americans will work more in harmony with their president. How successful Obama can be as American president will depend on how well his fellow-Americans can rein in their demands for their expectations to be satisfied.

I know this is pretty unrelated, but I just wanted to say how nice it was finding this website after coming from the hate-filled, borderline idiotic comments being thrown back and forth on the FOX News forum. It really is nice to see civil discussion about these things instead of name calling and an abundance of racial epithets from both sides.

Anyways, on topic, even if I don’t agree with everything he has said before, I thought this was a wonderful speech, and I am going to support our president, because whether or not people like it, he is in charge, and we should give our leader all of the support we can so that we might come out better because of it.

  3. Jon Smith says:

I am highly suspicious of this man and of many things he said. I will go into more detail when I can. For now, I will say that it was an inspiring speech, laced with hints that freedom will be lost in the shuffle. If I were to take him at his word, however, I would say that he thinks that freedom must prove itself as functional, and that, while he believes in Americans, he does not believe in America as it was formed. He says he does, as he points to the successes of the past, but then he says that the results were skewed, rather than recognizing that American ideals have been skewed since the days where they were successful.

That said, it was a speech that would be similar to one given by a lover of freedom who wanted to open the door to freedom. I must admit that if I heard this speech from a libertarian leader or someone whose beliefs were firmly set on freedom I would have liked it, because it brings together persons on all sides of arguments. It lets people know that what works best will be done, even if it is hard or unpopular. It says that we will try to reach the greatness and growth we once had and then follow the path that took us there before.

Like I said, inspirational and well spoken, and broad-reaching, but I fear the path of action that it implies, and I fear the use of glorious history without the recognition of knowledge of why it was actually glorious.

    It’s down hill from here.

    ….

The Banking Sector Went into Free Fall on Inauguration Day.

The Dow was down over 330 points.

The financial sector had its worst day ever. It was down on average 17%.

Bank of America needs an $80 billion injection of new money. The biggest bank in the U.S. looks done for — no longer a player, if it survives. It needs a bailout. Yet the man who bought Countrywide and Merrill Lynch is still in charge. Why?

The banking crisis will now accelerate. No matter what the new Secretary of the Treasury says about government bailouts to come, the losses are too large to be papered over. We will see some large banks nationalized. The investors may or may not benefit. Probably not.

We are now entering the second phase of this recession. It is going to get much worse.

Nouriel Roubini says that the banks are moving toward insolvency. The government will have to pony up another trillion dollars. He did not mention the FED.

U.S. financial losses from the credit crisis may reach $3.6 trillion, suggesting the banking system is “effectively insolvent,” said New York University Professor Nouriel Roubini, who predicted last year’s economic crisis.

“I’ve found that credit losses could peak at a level of $3.6 trillion for U.S. institutions, half of them by banks and broker dealers,” Roubini said at a conference in Dubai today. “If that’s true, it means the U.S. banking system is effectively insolvent because it starts with a capital of $1.4 trillion. This is a systemic banking crisis.”

Losses and writedowns at financial companies worldwide have risen to more than $1 trillion since the U.S. subprime mortgage market collapsed in 2007, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.

President Barack Obama will have to use as much as $1 trillion of public funds to shore up the capitalization of the banking sector, following the $350 billion injection by the Bush administration, Roubini told Bloomberg News.

Soon, the message will get to the baby boomers. Obama has no tricks up his sleeve. Neither does Bernanke.

Yes, the FED can inflate. That it will do, and has done so already with the monetary base. It has not saved the banks so far.

I think the government will nationalize some large banks before 2009 is over — if not, before 2010 is over. Why do I think this? Because the new Administration says it does not want to. Bloomberg reports this:

In any new rescue efforts, the Treasury is likely to continue to require banks to hand over ownership stakes to the government as a condition of receiving aid, though it will want to avoid outright nationalization. Programs so far have sought preferred shares and warrants, which can be converted into common stock and cashed out on the government’s request.

The government will make the request. In Britain, the government is already considering this. The Royal Bank of Scotland is near bankruptcy — a large bank. More nationalizations will follow. The financial press is now openly talking about this.

Before nationalization in the United States, the government will try this, according to retired finance professor Michael Rozeff.

Obama and his team will be back asking Congress for another trillion quite soon and probably another trillion after that. They will not know what to do when more big banks fail and when many regional banks start to fail. I predict that they will do as was done with the S & Ls in the 1980s. There will be a policy of “forbearance” when regulatory guidelines are violated. They will not want to have to appropriate money for the FDIC. If they form a Resolution Trust kind of entity to receive and sell off bad bank loans, this again subverts the bankruptcy option. It socks the taxpayers with the losses.

On January 2, here was the happy-face bulloney on the Nightly Business Report.

2009 Begins With The Dow Above 9000

SUSIE GHARIB: Wall Street rang in the New Year with a bang. The Dow surged 258 points, closing above the 9,000 level for the first time since November. The NASDAQ jumped 55 and the S&P 500 rose 28 1/2 points. Investors snapped up stocks on optimism about a new year and a new administration. As Suzanne Pratt reports, how stocks perform this month could be critical for setting the tone for the rest of the year.

SUZANNE PRATT, NIGHTLY BUSINESS REPORT CORRESPONDENT: There is a saying on Wall Street: as January goes, so goes the year. But, the so- called January barometer is more than Wall Street lore. It also works. According to the “Stock Traders Almanac,” since 1950, the seasonal indicator has been accurate 91 percent of the time. An up January suggests a good year for the market, while a down beginning leads to a disappointing year. So, what about this January? Market strategist Carmine Grigoli says the first month of 2009 will be a good one.

CARMINE GRIGOLI, CHIEF INVESTMENT STRATEGIST, MIZUHO SECURITIES USA: I think we’re in the process of recovering. I think we’ve seen the lows. Since November 20th the market is up about between 15 and 20 percent. It’s likely to continue that momentum into January and probably through most of the year.

PRATT: Grigoli expects major averages to rally as much as 40 percent this year, thanks to extremely attractive valuations. He says the market will recover well in advance of the economy.

Will we hear about this again on the show? “An up January suggests a good year for the market, while a down beginning leads to a disappointing year.” I doubt it.

I said optimism was wrong then. I say it’s wrong now. I reaffirm my position. The stock market will fall. Earnings will fall. Unemployment will rise.

    We ain’t seen nothing yet!

I DIDN’T SEE HIS SPEECH, DID NOT INTEND TO AS I DISLIKE A LIAR AND THAT IS ALL THIS PERSON DOES, AS A VETERAN OF WW2, A FEMALE MARINE AND NOW AT 84 DISABLED DUE TO OSTEOPOROSIS, I WATCH TOO MUCH TV WHILE I KNIT NEWBORN BABE HATS FOR A LOCAL HOSPITAL, HE LIES REPEATEDLY, WHY NO VALID BIRTH CERTIFICATE, NO SCHOOL PAPERS, HIS LAWYERS SEALED HIS OCCIDENTAL COLLEGE PAPERS, WHY? NOW THE BANKS ARE IN TROUBLE AGAIN, SOME SAY RECESSION OVER, MOST SAY NOT, THE TRUE UNEMPLOYMENT RATE IS 16.3 AND EACH MONTH WILL FALL MORE. PEOPLE WITHOUT JOBS CANNOT PAY TAXES, PEOPLE WITHOUT JOBS NEED ADDITIONAL FOOD WHICH CHURCHES ARE FURNISHING. I AM 85 YEARS OLD, HAVE NEVER SEEN THE DAMAGE ONE PERSON CAN DO TO THIS COUNTRY, SOME SAY CHICAGO THUGS ARE RUINING THE TOWNHALLS AND THREATENING PEOPLE WHO GO AND ASK QUESTIONS OF THEIR REPS. OR SENATORS. AS A VETERAN OF WW2, I AM REALLY UPSET, NOT REALLY FEARFUL UNTIL THEY SHOW FEMA PRISONS AND FEMA CASKETS, WHO ARE THEY PREPARING THESE FOR, ANYBODY WHO QUESTIONS OBAMA’S POLICIES. OH, I JUST REMEMBERED DURING THE CAMPAIGN, HE WOULD NOT DO TOWNHALLS, MCCAIN DID AND GOT GOOD REPORTS, NOW OBAMA IS DOING BUT HE STACKS THE HALLS WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE FAVORALE TO HIM, AND GIVES THEM QUESTIONS, HE ALREADY HAS ANSWERS TO. HIS EATS AND SLEEPS WITH HIS TELEPROMPTERS. WHEN OVERSEAS HE TOOK 12 TELEPROMPTERS WITH HIM, SO HE COULD GIVE ANTI-AMERICAN SPEECHES, SOME MUSLIM-AMERICAN PRESIDENT, CATERING TO IRAN AND N.KOREA AND HUGS CHAVEZ

  10. goldie says:

ON A SITE WHICH STATED HE SWORE BEFORE A NOTARY THAT HE WAS ELIGIBLE TO BECOME PRESIDENT, BUT KNEW HIS FATHER WAS A BRITISH SUBJECT AND THIS AUTOMATICALLY MADE HIM, THE CHILD A BRITISH SUBJECT, SO HE IS GUILTY OF FALSE SWEARING AND SHOULD BE ARRESTED AND TRIED FOR TREASON. I READ THIS ON 8-17-09 AND I REALLY THINK SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE ABOUT THIS LIAR AND TRAITOR. HE IS RUINING OUR FINANCIAL STATUS, SO MUCH DEBT, I HEAR OVER 68 TRILLION WE THE TAXPAYERS WILL OWE BY THE TIME HE GETS THRU WITH THE BEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD, IN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE. WHY, OH WHY DO PEOPLE VOTE FOR COLOR AND NOT CHARACTER. I DON’T CARE IF HE WAS GREEN, I WOULD NOT VOTE FOR SOMEBODY COMING FROM THE ROTTEN POLITICAL SCENE OF CHICAGO, SO BAD THE POLITICS THERE AND ALL THE CROOKS, LIARS, THEY DON’T HAVE A PRIORITY ON THIS BAD HABITS, WASHINGTON, D.C. CONGRESS IS FULL OF TERRIBLE, ROTEN, PEOPLE, PELOSI, REID, FRANKS, FIRST TIME I EVER HEARD OF A PREVERT HAVE SUCH A HIGH POSITION, GUESS WHAT HE DOES ON HIS TIME OFF? SHE WAS AS MUCH OF A PERSON AS HE AND HE DID THIS IN HIS DRUKEN STUPOR, AND THIS IS THE TYPE OF PERSON TO RUN THE COUNTRY. COURSE ALL SAY NOW HE HELPED SO MANY POOR AND ARRANGED FOR ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS TO ENTER THE COUNTRY, WHICH HELPS THE BORDER STATES A LOT. MEDICAL BILLS IN THOSE STATES ARE VERY HIGH WITH THE ANCHOR BABIES BEING BORN AND ALL THE EMERGENCY ROOM TREATMENTS. SORRY, I SHOULD NOT FEEL SO MEAN, BUT WHEN SOMEBODY DISAPPOINTS YOU, MOST PEOPLE RESORT TO SAYING MEAN THINGS, WHICH I HAVE DONE.

THANKS A LOT, AS I HAVE PROBABLY SAID PREVIOUSLY, I AM OLD AND SOMETIMES OLD ONES FORGET, ALSO YOUNG ONES, BUT I CAN ONLY POST MY OPINION, BUT IT IS SO BIASED AGAINST OBAMA, HE IS BAD FOR AMERICA AND HE IS DOING ALL HE CAN TO TRASH THE CONSTITUTION AND AS I TOOK MY OATH OF ENLISTMENT TO THE U.S. MARINE CORPS. DURING WW2, I FEEL I HAVE A BIT OF A RIGHT TO COMPLAIN. PEOPLE SAY I AM RACIST, OK, I VOTED FOR A WHITE MAN BECAUSE HE WAS A VETERAN, AND HAD A KNOWN RECORD, I TRY TO VOTE FOR CHARACTER, NO MATTER WHAT COLOR A PERSON IS, SUNTANS ARE SO VARIOUS IN USA, WHATS THE USE SOMETIMES, AS BECK SAYS NO MATTER WHO WE SAY, THE LEFTIST COMPLAIN BITTERLY. THANKS AGAIN

  14. goldie says:

JUST READ WHERE OBAMA SAYS MUSLIMS ARE GREAT AMERICANS, YOU HEARD HIS COMMENT THAT THE SWEETEST SOUND IN THE WORLD ARE THE 5 CALLS TO PRAYER DAILY? I REALLY QUESTION JUST WHO HE IS, HE IS DOING EVERYTHING HE CAN TO TRASH OUR USA TO TRASH CHRISTIANITY, BEWARE, WE ARE GOING TO END UP WEARING BURKAS AND HEAD SCARFS AS THE MUSLIM FEMALES DO. OH, AND MICHELLE FELL ASLEEP DURING KENNEDYS FUNERAL, WONDER WHY, DO TAKING CARE OF HER 24 ASSISTANTS WHO ARE WITH HER DAILY TO KEEP HER SAFE, IS THAT TOO BIG A JOB FOR POOR MEAN MICHELLE, WEARING A TIARA, WHAT A SAD LIFE FOR THIS FREEDOM LOVING LADY. I AM SO TIRED OF HEARING ABOUT FEMA CAMPS, ARE THEY A REALITY OR WHAT, NOT SURE OF ANYTHING, BUT SOMETIMES FEEL AS IF I AM IN A NIGHTMARE,THEN I SEE THE NEW PERSON, IT IS STILL A NIGHTMARE.

  15. goldie says:

HERE I AM AGAIN, I READ WHERE THE CZAR THAT RESIGNED, PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING THAT HOW WAS HE INVESTIGATED? I ONLY HAVE ONE COMMENT, NOBODY INVESTIGATED OBAMA, NOT EVEN THE SUPREME COURT, SO IF OBAMA NOT VETTED, WHY WORRY ABOUT THE OTHERS. HE IS DOING MORE DAMAGE TO THE COUNTRY AND THE CZARS ARE HIS BUDDIES.

  16. goldie says:

JUST SENT E-MAIL TO MY SON TO CHECK OUT THIS SITE, JOYCEROSENWALD.COM. SHE SAYS HAS BEEN RESEARCHING THIS PROBLEM FOR OVER 8 YEARS, IN 1933 FDR TOLD FEDERAL RESERVE TO CHANGE CONSTITUTION TO FEDERAL CORPORATION, SO THIS MAKES THE CONSTITUTION NULL AND VOID? AS A VETERAN OF WW2, U.S. MARINE, I TOOK MY OATH OF ENLISTMENT ON CONSTITUTION, DOES THIS MEAN I TOOK OATH ON FEDERAL CORPORATION? WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR ALL THE SERVICEPEOPLE WHO DID THE SAME, EVEN THOSE SERVING NOW? I AM SURE SOME OF BRIGHT PEOPLE WHO POST HERE WILL KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS, AS I DON’T. I TRIED TO SEND E-MAIL TO VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS, TO TELL THEM THIS AS IT DOES CONCERN VETERANS. MAYBE THIS IS THE REAL REASON BERNANKE DOES NOT WANT REP. PAUL’S BILL TO AUDIT THE FED TO HAPPEN AS IT MIGHT DISCLOSE A LOT OF GARBAGE? IF ANYBODY KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT THIS, PLEASE TELL THIS OLD VETERAN, THANKS, AND GOD BLESS ALL
