Time To Think About the Future

As an educated American and proud veteren, it is not that hard to see that the future does not look too good for the average American.  The soveriegn debt crisis is about to explode in Europe,  all the while our national debt continues to rise because our politicians are worthless cowards and totally corrupt.  As I see it, the enemy isn’t a terrorist that has olive skin and shoots up people in the name of his religion, but the enemy is our own Federal government who continues to lie and decieve the public into believe their outlandish lies of doom and gloom at the hand of  Muslim terrorists.

Just like the last hurricane and all the hype that led up to it, the media and government collude to strike unneeded fear into the minds of the sheeple that they control.  It is real simple folks, when the government says that we will have a lone wolf style attack, they are correct.  Not because of intelligence agencies like the CIA or FBI, but because they are making it happen.  Let’s look at same of the most recent failed attacks and see just what is going on.

Lack of Content…

Just a quick note to apologize for the lack of new articles lately. To say that I have been busy would be an understatement. I have not, however, given up my passion for SUFA. I will try to get some new articles posted very soon…

Dust in the Wind

I close my eyes

only for a moment

and the moment’s gone

I remember School House Rock explaining what a bill was on Saturday mornings.  Their example was that school buses should be required to stop at all railroad crossings.  I do see the need for some laws, but the problem has always been where to draw the line.  Many of the new laws are in the form of regulations issued by government agencies.  No new laws are needed because the agencies have already been granted the authority to act in their areas.  For example, the EPA is required to ensure our air quality.  They are now looking at new standards for dust, such as produced by farming.  Some people are concerned where it will lead and how much it may cost.

The Quiet Infiltration

Good Day Friends.  After a busy summer and a great vegetable harvest, it’s time to get back to the business of blogging.  Today I bring you words written over 50 years ago.

Guest Commentary: Part II From James Adams

This morning I offer Part II of the three part series from James Adams, author of Waffle Street: . Many of you last week found James’ first installment interesting and offered some insightful comments to his article. I imagine that this will be the case again this week. Part III will follow next week as James will wrap up the series with some practical application. Don’t forget that you can order his book via the link to his page over on the right hand side of the SUFA home page. As I said previously, it is an entertaining and enlightening book that I highly recommend. I will do my best to participate in the discussions throughout the day as I find all the talk about economics fascinating as well as extremely important. So I now turn the floor over to James Adams for his second installment on economics…

BeLABORED

I would not argue that unions have never done good.  We could debate if they came before or after safety  standards were already improving.  Lets explore for a moment the historic image of unions, that uncaring business exploited it’s workers who banded together to force the evil company to treat them fairly.  The term “redneck” gets used a lot, but most are not aware of where the term originated.  Farm workers or any who toiled in the sun frequently suffered sunburns on their necks, and was a common phrase for field workers.  During their early organization, miners unions used the phrase and it’s symbol, a red bandana to promote and denote a union worker.  Many Irish immigrants  became coal miners and may have been the inspiration.  The unions were seeking to unite blacks, whites and immigrants and gained the nations attention with the “Red Neck War”, properly known as the Battle of Blair Mountain.
