Living in Their Own Reality….

Democrat Leaders, that is. I got a comment today that made me sit back and evaluate whether I was being fair for judging the Messiah’s actions so quickly, before they had a chance to succeed or fail. It was a fair comment based on what I had written in the “RUSH” post. But what I really started thinking about was the alternate reality that the Democratic Leadership is living in. So I figured I would open it for discussion.

Let me first say that I do believe that I am acting fairly in judging so quickly. I judge Republican ideas just as quickly. The bottom line is that when I see a plan that I think is not a good plan, I am not going to wait until it fails to say “I knew it!”. I do not like the direction Democrats are attempting to take us in. And I am not going to wait until they ruin the country to say so. I will do my best to stop them NOW before they get too far. I began this blog to wake people up and make a difference, not to tell them about failed policies of the past. So I have to judge what is coming. Any fool can judge what came and went.

But let’s take a look at what we have seen in the first ten days of the Obama administration. Let me begin by sharing a few quotes from the messiah’s inaugural address:

“On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord. On this day, we come to proclaim an end to the petty grievances and false promises, the recriminations and worn-out dogmas, that for far too long have strangled our politics. We remain a young nation, but in the words of Scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things.”

Barrack Obama“What the cynics fail to understand is that the ground has shifted beneath them — that the stale political arguments that have consumed us for so long no longer apply. The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works — And those of us who manage the public’s dollars will be held to account — to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day — because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government.”

And let us now contrast that with the actions and words from the last ten days. First from our new Messiah, the President, who has proclaimed an end to partisan bickering and the “recriminations that have strangled our politics”:

  • While speaking to House Republicans, Obama told them that they should go along and get along, and stop listening to Rush Limbaugh: “You can’t just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done.” I might be cool with this if he also told Democrats to stop listening to moveon.org and the daily kos. But I thank him for validating how powerful he feels Rush is and the fear he has of him.
  • In an exchange with Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) about the proposal, the president shot back: “I won, I will trump you on that.” Not that Obama was gloating. He was just explaining that he aims to get his way on stimulus package and all other legislation, sources said, noting his unrivaled one-party control of both congressional chambers.
  • On GOP complaints that he was not giving any of their ideas a fair look, he chided them saying that “there will be time to beat him up and a time for politics.” He said “I understand that and I will watch you on Fox News and feel bad about myself.'”

pelosi-wide-eyedAnd some more choice words from the Democratic Leader of the House of Representatives, one Nancy Pelosi, who I lovingly refer to as the anti-christ bitch:

  • Leading up to the House vote on the stimulus package, she was asked about Republicans disgruntled over not being allowed to be heard on their ideas. She replied, “If there is somebody who is disgruntled, so be it. But we will have an overwhelming vote,” She and more than a half-dozen other Democrats touted the bill and chided Republicans for pushing what they called the kind of failed policies that led to the economic crisis. “The Republicans are talking about process. I think when you lose the argument on substance, on policy, what do you do? You talk about process and you talk about personality,” Hey Nancy, they didn’t lose the argument on substance, they lost it because you didn’t let them argue it, and what they did get to say, you simply told them “we have the power here so it doesn’t really matter what you guys think”

So clearly we are well on our way to ending the dogma’s that have strangled our politics. Clearly we are well on our way to a bipartisan new political landscape where party doesn’t matter and everyone is working to consider what is best for America, not follow party lines. These comments above tell me one thing:

The Democrats in America think they have a “mandate” from the people. The people have spoken and they want a new socialistic agenda. What the Democratic party wants, the people want. That’s why the people gave them the Presidency and the majority in both houses of Congress.

Well I say to you, Democratic Leadership, WAKE UP DUMBASSES. You don’t have a mandate for anything. Most Americans didn’t vote to tell you they like your policies. They voted for Democrats for two reasons: 1)Because your candidate was 50% black and they wanted to vote for a black man. 2) They were tired of the alternative (Republicans) and figured their vote for you was simply a vote against the status quo. They don’t like your ideas any more at this point. Let’s be clear: IF AMERICA HAD A THIRD OPTION, THEY WOULD HAVE TAKEN IT! EVEN A “NONE OF THE ABOVE” BOX WOULD HAVE WON THIS ELECTION!

Think I am crazy Nancy? Let’s take a look at what Americans say. When I want poll answers I go to Rasmussen. His polls are unbiased and scientific and generally trustable. I do not rely on Fox, CNN, NY Times, or any media polls, they are all bullshit. According to Rasmussen polls:

  • A poll on January 28, 2009, found that 53% of Americans feel it is always better to cut taxes than to increase spending. 24% felt the opposite. Take that down to just Democrats polled and 38% say cut taxes and 34% disagree (even Democrats don’t feel this stimulus plan is the right move!)
  • A poll on January 23, 2009, found that 59% of US Voters fear that government spending is going to increase too much under President Obama and the Democratic Congress. Only 17% disagreed.
  • A poll on January 24, 2009 found that only 45% of voters support Obama’s economic plan, but 64% say tax cuts for 95% of Americans as Obama promised last fall should be a priority (45%, that is not even a majority Nancy)
  • 49% of Americans rate Barrack Obama as more liberal in his views than they are, and he hasn’t shown his views to be nearly as liberal as Pelosi and Company.
  • A January 22, 2009 poll found that 14% of voters give Congress good or excellent marks, but 47% say Congress is doing a poor job. (In case you aren’t paying attention Nancy, this is their approval rating of YOU, which is 9 points south of their approval rating for President Bush!)

So what have we learned here? We have learned that the Democrats have far less than a “mandate”. And their acting as though they do is not only divisive and arrogant, it is furthering my belief that there isn’t a politician in Washington DC worth a shit. So all you Democrats that want to tell me the people have spoken and they want what you are selling, put down the crack pipe that Marion Berry passed you (That bitch set me up! those who remember that will giggle) and realize that we don’t want it. We don’t want you. We don’t want what Republicans are selling either. We want you ALL replaced. Every last thieving, lying, corrupt, power hungry, elitist, one of you. And one day we will get our way…… Your day is coming. Look for me… I will be the one on the horse at the front.

  1. US – all polling aside I do think there is/was a mandate – the mandate is to serve the people and protect the Constitution. Even since my note to you yesterday, the more and more I read about this stimulus plan (maybe this plan will stimulate what is hiding in their liberal pants – it sure as shit isn’t going to move the economy in a positive direction) the more I feel disgusted by voting for this jackass. My initial thought was that: “wow, they must have some really smart people that could devise such a comprehensive plan and know what it costs” – well, DUH! It’s merely a 1/2 hearted attempt at economic stimulus covering up all the social programs they’ve hiding. Its like the kid who has been hiding porn under his bed waiting for his buddies to come sleep over – “hey, look at this” – now it is in the clear and Nancy the Witch can thumb her nose at all of us. Where are the benchmarks? Explain to me how each line item is going to stimulate the economy! Cut the shit with the intellectual rhetoric and explain to us how the F this isn’t the actualization of a well conceived Democratic thievery and will create jobs and not cause me to be the next one let go from his job.

My question to you US is how long before the rank and file – the misty eyed millions who wept at Obama being elected – realize they’ve been had? I watched in awe as the man I voted for took office – but I did so with the thought and idea that you’ve got a tall order in front of you – let’s see you man up and do the right thing. I was wrong.

    Ray,

So how many more times are you going to be fooled into voting?

  3. BF – its like the time I spent a week at a survivalist camp (where I rarely ate because I sucked at catching my own food) then the first eating establishment I went had nothing on the men that looked good – I still needed to eat, still should have ate – so I ordered some concoction of turkey, gravy and stale bread. Promptly I threw it up as I would have for most things on the menu. The choices nowadays basically suck as well – but we can and should vote no?

    Yes!

As long as you continue to eat from the menu, the menu will never change – why would it? The communication back to the kitchen is – as long as the people eat the food, it will be served as it is.

So, stop ordering. Then the kitchen will ‘get it’ and stop serving crap.

  5. The messiah said, “We remain a young nation, but in the words of Scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things.”

Maybe the messiah should read some more of scripture. Paraphrasing, “Jesus told Peter to go find him a donkey(Hmmm..) which he then rode into the city; people were singing his praises, “Hosanna to the king, who comes in the name of the Lord.” Days later, he was standing before Pilate and the same people were screaming, “Crucify him, crucify him”.

I hope it doesn’t come to this, but from what I see and hear every day, it may very well happen. I am a senior citizen (whatever that means) and I’ve learned in my short journey of life, that you can tell a politician is lying when his/her lips are moving. I find it amusing that “the anti-christ bitch” said in two separate interviews that if the “stimulus package” was not passed immediately, 500,000,000 Americans would lose their jobs each month. Talk about math challenged! She’s counting just like Al Franken does, more votes than there are people. As far as the “One” goes, I see a person very much dependent on input from others, an inside the beltway maggot telling him what to do. All I’ve seen is a president-by-proxy. Is it possible that the “One” is in over his head. I wonder.

    • I laughed quite heartily at Pelosi’s 500,000,000 people comment. Her strict partisan bile is a major part of the problem America faces today.
