Using Fear to Get Government’s Way

So how many of you read that headline and said, so he is going to write about Bush and his use of terrorism as a fear mechanism to take our rights away? Well he did, but there is no point in writing about him now. Instead we are going to talk about how Barrack Obama and his party are doing the same. Using your fear around the economy to get you to buy in to the economic stimulus plan. This is a sham and should have Americans rioting in the streets. Unfortunately too many of you will be hearing this for the first time. Shame on you… now pay attention class. This will be a long lecture….

Watching his followers is like a bad Illuminati Movie!

Watching his followers is like a bad Illuminati Movie!

I know some of you are upset by that picture. How dare he… that’s what you are saying. He speaks against the messiah! Your damn right I do. I have watched Americans swoon over this man long enough. I like him too. I don’t think he is a bad man. But this fanaticism that surrounds this one very inexperienced politician is getting dangerous. Dangerous because you are believing what the snake-oil salesman is selling. Dangerous because you are falling right back into your political lull and accepting everything the Democrats are telling you about the economy. And thanks to Kent for passing the picture along. I knew it wouldn’t take me long to find a place for it.

heart-royal-flushThis “economic stimulus” plan is a SHAM. You’ve been hoodwinked. Bamboozled. Led Astray. You didn’t land on Citibank rock, Citibank rock landed on you. WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!! I know you don’t want to believe that the Messiah would do this to you. I know you don’t want to believe that the Messiah’s administration is just “more of the same” after he made that what he campaigned against. But read it and weep folks. What I present here is the equivalent to a Royal Flush.

Let’s first discuss how you let this happen. You bought into the hysteria. He scammed you into electing him despite his complete lack of experience on the national level. And because he did so successfully based solely on his ability as an orator, he now believes he can sell you a pile of shit and make you believe it is a golden nugget. Judging by public opinion so far, at least 34% of you still don’t understand why your shiny rock has this weird smell coming from it.

So he told you that your financial world was going to come to an end if government doesn’t step in and save you. We are doomed if the Messiah doesn’t give us a fix. And he is doing so by using the politics of fear. A recent quote from the new President: “The workers who are returning home to tell their husbands and wives and children that they no longer have a job, and all those who live in fear that theirs will be the next job cut, they need help now. They are looking to Washington for action — bold and swift.” He made the convenient link and made you believe this is George Bush’s fault… blame the Republicans! Bullshit, this is GOVERNMENT’S fault. No party affiliation needed. Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, Green Party, Constitution Party, everyone. ALL of government has gotten us into this very mess that he now has you believing he will use government to get you out of.

If you think you are man enough (or woman enough) to blame this on one party, please give it a shot in the comments below. Regardless of which party you choose, I promise to be gentle while I shatter your reality.

gold-nuggetSo now that he has gotten you to believe that you need government to save you and gotten you to believe that he really is the second coming and therefore can be trusted completely, he has you right where he needed you. So he is showing you this shiny new rock that will save you all. You don’t need to weigh it. You don’t even need to bite it like they used to do in the old movies. Trust him. He wouldn’t steer you wrong. This is a prime piece of solid gold.

But wait, what exactly is that smell? It is the fact that this economic stimulus plan is anything but an economic stimulus plan. Then what is it you ask? Well thanks for asking! It is a GIGANTIC government spending plan. It is a bill that basically fills the wish list of every Democratic program wanted for the last 40 years. It is a back door way to pass every socialistic agenda item while you applauded him for saving you. It is a massive expansion of government. He knew he wouldn’t get away with spending taxpayer money like mad on government programs if he told you that was what he was doing. So he lied and named it the economic stimulus plan. Let’s take a look at what is in this 600+ page $819 Billion bill that the House shoved down our throats late last night. I want you to really look at this list and tell me where the economic stimulus is…

  • $1 Billion for Amtrak, the government owned railroad that hasn’t turned a profit in 40 years
  • $2 Billion for Child Care Subsidies
  • $50 Million for the National Endowment of the Arts
  • $400 Million for Global Warming Research and $2.4 Billion for Carbon Capture Demonstration Projects
  • $650 Million for more Digital TV conversion Coupons
  • $600 Million for the government to buy new cars (on top of $3 Billion already in the annual budget)
  • $7 Billion for modernizing government buildings and $150 Million for the Smithsonian
  • $87 Billion for Medicaid
  • $36 Billion for expanded unemployment benefits
  • $20 Billion for Food Stamps
  • $83 Billion for Earned Income Credit for folks who don’t pay income taxes
  • $66 Billion for Education ($6 Billion of this for University Building programs). And before you think this is for helping kids learn, page 257 clearly states that “No recipient . . . shall use such funds to provide financial assistance to students to attend private elementary or secondary schools.”
  • $335 Million for programs for the prevention of Sexually Transmitted Diseases
  • $79 Billion for aid to states to stop education related layoffs
  • $2 Billion for Head Start Programs
  • $13 Billion for Supplemental Funding for high poverty areas
  • $13 Billion for Special Education Programs
  • $5 Billion for the construction and repair of public housing
  • $20 Billion for School and College Renovations
  • $70 Million for a new supercomputer at the Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
  • $75 Million for Smoking Cessation Programs

Interesting huh. I know you are wondering to yourself: “where are the economic stimulus items that we were sold with this bill of goods from the media?” That is a darn good question. Because what I see in that list is hoards of government spending and increased social program spending and increased government getting its hands in places it shouldn’t be. Let’s see what is in this bill that has nothing to do with economic stimulus”
  • the bill weighs in on whether to mandate that broadband cables controlled by telecommunications and cable firms be open to any Internet content provider; the House bill includes language favoring open access — so-called net neutrality — that telecoms have long opposed.
  • It also secures an expansion of unemployment insurance for part-time workers that Democrats have sought for more than a decade.
  • it also pushes the private sector toward enterprises the free market has not favored, such as providing fast Internet access to rural areas and funding for alternative energy during a time of low energy prices.
  • In the education realm, the stimulus aims more than $125 billion at bolstering public education, an unusual federal intervention in a sphere usually left to state and local governments.
  • it allows workers older than 55, or those who have worked at a company for 10 years, to keep their COBRA coverage until they qualify for Medicare or find a new job. Among the plan’s biggest departures is allowing those who are unemployed to enroll in Medicaid, the health program for the poor. It expands Medicaid to allow millions of unemployed workers to qualify for benefits.
Are you seeing the pattern here? This Economic Stimulus Plan doesn’t have much to do with stimulating the economy. It has everything to do with passing a lot of Democratic spending bills right under your nose under the heading of an economic stimulus bill.  This is Democrats expanding the role of government and instituting all the policies that they have been wanting to institute under the guise of saving the economy. And if you want to let partisan politics get in the way here and hate this analysis based solely on the fact that it is attacking the Democratic Party, then you are too busy being stupid to save the country anyway.
And You Thought I Drove Up Government Spending

And You Thought I Drove Up Government Spending

One last thought for all of you out there who are still silently fuming over that first picture above. If you are it is probably because you are a big Democratic supporter, and this entire posting has you in a tizzie. You want to scream at me and tell me that George Bush devoted Billions of dollars to an illegal war that dwarfed this little spending package. Check yourself…. This Economic Stimulus Bill is more money than the entire war in Iraq has cost. And you are accepting it without even reading the frackin details. If only you were that negligent in assessing Bush’s war plans, his approval rating might have been 40 points higher.

Just to make sure I give credit where it is due, I obviously pulled a lot of information here from other news stories out there so I wanted to list them so that you can all go to verify that I have presented information accurately.

  1. US – you could probably write a dissertation on this subject……

    Can’t wait to read it

  2. Here we are, 70 years after the last big socialist spending spree to ” stimulate the economy”. I dont know if anyone remembers, but the result then was a 7 YEAR extension of the Great Depression, and the TRIPLING of the size and power of the Federal Government over the People who grant it the power, but also the single most devestating war in history and 60 years of cold war with the old Soviet Union. Had Roosevelt simply let the economy run unimpeded, the depression would have been a mild recession and we would not have had to almost perish in WWII. Hitler and Tojo USED the Depression as the catalyst to begin trying to overrun the world with calls for “ORDER”. The Soviet Union would not have been on the victorious side of the war, and probably would have died on its own inside of 15 years.(Post 1936) So WAKE UP AMERICA! THE NEXT WORLD WAR WILL BE FOUGHT HERE because this is the only real estate left in the world worth fighting over!

  3. Really interested in hearing your thoughts about the stimulus package. I was very disappointed to hear the news that it passed.

“One small step for the Democrats… One giant devolution for America”

Nationalization only continues… Thanks for the great blog

  4. Ed – funny (or not) I was just listening to the interview once again that Jim Cramer did with Chris Matthews and essentially stating this stimulus will create far fewer sustained jobs that most people think – my next thought was how much the Petrodictators and terrorists out there must leave seeing us teeter on the edge of collapse as this bill passes and we all end up with another 5 bucks in our paychecks, trillions more in debt (debt likely to be owned by a foreign country) and more and more layoffs.

  5. I know that that it ended up being nothing more than standing up for what they believe in, but thanks to the Republicans in the House who voted against this bell even though they knew there was nothing they could do to stop it.

  6. The article is an excellent primer for gathering responses. Though I believe Libertarians should be left out of the broad-paintbrush-accusation. Libertarians are anti-socialism. At least all the ones I know of are. The only Libertarian serving in our legislative branch of government is Ron Paul. He has constantly warned of the devastating consequences of government solutions to “any” conjured-up problem the powers that is drum up to continue their “Problem, Reaction Solution” agenda.

That said; the rest of the article seems accurate. Below is an e-mail I sent to my three reps. concerning bailouts, stimulus packages and any other means of government stealing from the people at the behest of the “Special Interest’s Scribes”; you know… the 41,000 lobbyists that slither around Congress to bribe our elected representative employees to break the financial backbone of this country and usher in the new, improved global monetary system, so they can be our saviors.

The following was sent by me yesterday via
It should give you an idea of where real pro American Patriots stand. It surely isn’t standing in line to receive “any handout” from “any” level of government.

    Sent 01-29-2009

    Please cut federal spending.

Since I’ve learned that Congressman Wamp has cast his vote to stifle the so-called “Stimulus Package”, I send thanks.

To my two Senators.. I respectfully request that you stop the madness of this bailout frenzy that has hit Washington like a hypnotic plague-that is the programmed collapse of our Constitutional Republic. You should realize by now, this is an agenda to bring the United States closer and closer to third world status. We cannot bailout any entity, including “The People” by means of stealing the fruits of our great Grandchildren’s labor before they are even born. This mindset is insane and must stop now. There is no such thing as a business, corporation or any other entity that is too big to fail. The entity will either survive or it won’t, it’s really that simple. If our government can’t afford to pay for its basic “Constitutional Limited Duties”, it should “ELIMINATE” “ALL” “OF” “ITS” “UNCONSTITUTIONAL PORK PROGRAMS” and be accountable to “We The People” for a change, by adhering to the Constitution.

We Americans don’t take kindly to “Theft of The People” by our representative government. It’s treasonous and very detrimental to our Republic. If you think about it, how long do you think an employee would last at their employer’s business if they kept stealing from their employer, to ensure their employer was going to be liquidated or bankrupt? Answer… Not very long!!!

Please vote “NO” to “ANY” bailouts, stimulus packages or any other special interest’s agenda that comes to the floor via the “special interest’s scribe”. They are undermining our very being, and it must stop “NOW”!!!

Please note that many of us who voted for Obama don’t believe he is the end all and be all or our answer to our problems. For most of us McCain was just another Bush and though Bush was not horrible we were tired of his politics. Obama is a politician just like the rest of them. We are hoping he will do it differently that’s all. Trust me I’m not stupid nor blind and have already emailed and called about this bail out, I don’t want it the way it is. He has already let them rope him into the pile of crap that both Rep and Dems live in. You have some Rep and some Dems that honestly and truly care what happens to the Amercian people. I’m not happy with either party and I’m sick of the government and the way they operate. Also sick of people telling the American people take responsibility for your own individual issues, well you know what my tax dollars and yours are bailing out wealthy people and putting money in their pockets. Billions in bonus money and we will get a lousy 1,000 tax cut or a lousy 1,000 check, so if we are whining guess what we have that right. I love working to send some corporate asshole to the Bahamas for 2 weeks or put in 2000 toilet.

  8. US – kudos on a great post. As a registered Dem I know feel like some of my brethren and I need walk about with a Scarlet Letter – maybe “D” for dumbass. Our Democracy has failed us miserably in this case – perhaps some of the spend is in some way worthwhile – but unless it has a measurable effect of creating jobs, freeing up credit or uplifting the dollar then it doesn’t belong in this bill. I don’t care if it takes Rush Limbaugh running up and down the aisles of Congress buck-ass naked – someone with enough sway/swing should man up and call this what it is. Maybe a former President? Bush I? A foreign leader? Someone? Anyone? Much as I like John Boehner the liberal media just rolls their eyes every time he talks.

As side note – I thought B.O. stated there was a website he/they had set up with all their propaganda regarding this stimulus bill – I cannot find it – didn’t know if you ran across it or not.

  9. Thoughtful comments here. Really enjoyed your comments Lisa in FL. It’s not about Obama or Bush…it’s about the House & Senate. They craft these bills, they pass or fail these bills. Both parties are accountable to us…The People.

So why do they(House & Senate) appear not to be fearful of the American people holding them accountable? 1) We don’t hold them accountable. 2)Both parties, and the media in general, use the Dems vs Reps strategy to get us arguing among ourselves and distract us from evaluating the effectiveness of our elected officials. 3) There is no forum that I know of where we the people can come togther and talk rationally about the effectiveness, or lack thereof, our elected officials. Sure we can vote, and we should. But the Dems vs Reps strategy has worked very well to this point. Further, Perhaps it’s our own fault but our lives are very busy with work, kids, school, just trying to make it. The thought of spending hours and hours reviewing the bills we’ve entrusted our elected officials to craft on our behalf apppears to be more than most of us are capable of handling. Wow, sorry. Think perhaps I thought this was a support group…:-). Hope some of this made sense.

  10. I just stopped by your blog and thought I would say hello. I like your site design. Looking forward to reading more down the road.

  11. US,

Once again an outstanding post! Moreover, what is very impressive is that you express yourself in such a way that inspires people, vis-a-vie your comments.

Personally, I actually embedded your site in one of my articles encouraging my readers and ‘stopper’s by’ to come over and have a read. I love what you’re doing here!

Keep up the great and objective writing!

  12. Some misconceptions need to be cleared up. First…The United States government is a Constitutional Republic; the founders knew of the detrimental results created by Democracies and Monarchies.

Benjamin Franklin quote… “Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. A Republic is a well armed lamb contesting the vote.”

In other words, the rule of law accompanied by strong compliance with the Constitution most effectively represents “The People” and puts checks and balances on our three levels of federal government to prevent tyranny from showing its power-hungry teeth and treating the self-governed as red-headed-terrorist-stepchildren.

Secondly… Congress receives 99% of bills or acts from their special interests. Congress doesn’t write bills any more (with the exception of Ron Paul and possibly a few others). They are dictated to by greedy, power-hungry fascist corporate lobbyists; Congress takes the draft, fiddles with it, adds pork to it, then they vote on it. End result? We get screwed again.

If anybody believes that a bailout “For The People” is what’s needed to set this country back on its correct path, well, it ain’t gonna happen. Stealing our compensation for services rendered to our employers…then turning around to redistribute the compensation to other people or entities is theft! I don’t like it when our employees steal from “We The People” to bailout some sorry-ass, incompetent entity. It degrades our country, our way of life, threatens freedom and liberty of the people. It also leads to an ever decreasing value of our dollar’s purchasing power at the expense of us, our children and grandchildren.

This bailout scenario is being pursued to usher in a global monetary system that will automatically justify the necessity for a global government. This incremental process has been in the works for over one hundred years. And unfortunately, it looks like everything is right on schedule. Do a little research on “Global Government”, “Central Banks” or “Global Monetary System” and see what results you retrieve.

These bailouts and the accompanying smoke and mirrors (by the way, the mirrors are fading to clear glass) being used to justify the repair of a doomed monetary system are no more than the continuation of an effort to crush the American self-governing process. I don’t take it lightly and “I will not go quietly.”

Democracy = Mob Rule, Constitutional Republic = Rule of law. The main problem is getting the lobbyists out of Washington. There’s 41,000 of them, so we have our work cut out for us.

  13. US Weapon: Great post. It is nice to have the majority of the bill all in one place. I will be sending this subset of the post (Bill breakdown) to everyone I know along with the e-mail address of their senators. We must stand up and say no to all of this crap. Helping people is one thing…it is a whole other thing to spend money on programs that we need to cut back on, not fund more and more. I would be interested to see the same summary of the pork also included in this bill.

  14. blackflag2012 says:

Instead we are going to talk about how Barrack Obama and his party are doing the same.

    You are one strange cat.

You decry how Bush screwed you.

You decry how Obama will screw you.

You acknowledge 300 years of how government has screwed you.

    You believe in government.

Strange how people believe ramming their heads into concrete will somehow create a vision of enlightenment.

  15. blackflag2012 says:

The United States government is a Constitutional Republic; the founders knew of the detrimental results created by Democracies and Monarchies

How terribly incorrect Moe is while being half-right.

Yes, the US is a constitutional republic.

NO! The founders created a CONFEDERATION of STATES – by the Articles of Confederation.

Many of the founders predicted the destruction of the US due to the Constitution. By the centralization of power into federal authorities, they knew this would end badly for the freedom of the people.

  16. Mo,

I certainly understand that the Libertarians has far less to do with any of this than the two big parties. My point was only that government was to blame, not just a single party. And kudos for you writing your elected officials. More of us need to start doing that so that they know we are all watching.

  17. The House “stimulus” package was penned primarily by the Pelosi gang of lefty representatives. It is indeed their socialist manifesto and is anything but a stimulus to the economy. There may be certain items within the proposal that would stimulate the economy, but lets face it, you plop this 800 billion dollar pile of monkey turds, in its entirety, onto the economy (with no freaking way to pay for it) and you’re going to have the opposite effect of stimulus.

The irresponsible governance of our elected leaders has led many to hypothesize about the phantom menace plot to eventual establishment of a global government. I find it difficult to believe that there is an organized cabal orchestrating a financial crisis with the end goal of world domination… stop watching Zeitgeist and instead try to take back our government by voting out the career politicians that have brought us to the precipice of ruination.

  18. Congrats. Thanks for the post about a much needed to discuss issue. Where did you get the list might I ask?

“Stimulus” is only the term for what is happening to the Democrats Social Programs.

  19. I sit corrected. Black Flag is correct about the Articles of Confederation. I was referring to the form of gov’t that we’ve had since the U.S. Constitution was enacted.

I suppose we could possibly (not probably) restore the Articles of Confederation, but it’s unrealistic if we realize the current law-of-the-land, ie Constitution is being destroyed by the very employees that took an oath to protect it.

And for those “Doubting Thomas’s” questioning the impending reality of the implementation of a Global Government; isn’t it
peculiar that monetary systems all over the world are collapsing simultaneously? Isn’t it also a coincidence that when Bernake was scheduled to attend the Congressional Financial Services hearings in Washington, he was in Basel, Switzerland colluding with World Bankers to address the “Global” financial collapse?

The links below will inform you of the current situation; be it brought about by a “Phantom”, a Global Cabal, World Bankers, the Illuminati or the Builderberg’s. The information is out here, if you have time to research it. It really doesn’t matter if you believe it started with the Knights Templar back in the year 1207 or the Federal Reserve back in 1913, the push for Global Governance is happening if you believe it or not. And the monetary system is the way to usher it in.

  20. Mo,

I am not in a position to argue whether a global governance coup is out there happening. When I have some time I will go out and read what you have linked to here. But I will say that even if someone is trying to make it happen, I don’t think that it can happen. The world is too splintered to believe that one group could rule them all. And on the one question you posed about all the currencies collapsing at once, I don’t think it is a coincidence, but I don’t think it is a deliberate coup either. The global economy is a reality these days and economically we are all so linked that whatever happens in one country with their currency has an effect on all the others. I feel it is a consequence of the globalization we have seen rather than a conspiracy.

Good quick discussion about the form of government. It doesn’t matter what form of government we have if we don’t start holding our elected officials accountable. If we can do that we have a chance to make this work. It won’t be easy, in fact BF says it is impossible, but it can be done.

  21. USW,

Exactly… Form of Government is important only as far as we hold our elected officials accountable. America’s Republic is a great system because it allows for more accountability, but far too often we do not use the powers we are given as citizens of this great country.

We talk too often about the powers and authority the government wield and far to little about the Constitutional powers citizen hold to keep their government within check. It is our responsibility.

-by the way, I am going to be linking to this article on my front page because I think it is an important issue we must face. You did an excellent job articulating it.

  22. Seth1492,

Thanks for the thoughts. I have jumped over and checked out your site. I really like the stuff you are saying there. I recommend everyone take a minute and jump over there to check it out. I have added a link to it in my permanent blogroll over there on the right hand side under political blogs. The link is titled Do Tell Me. Please check it out.

  23. 123gimmevids says:

Hah! What an article! Hard for some people to swallow Hey by the way, I just found this HILARIOUS sarcastic neocon article on eHow. Read it before they take it down!

  24. Excellent job with this article US. I particularly agreed with your statement about this being Govt’s fault …no party affiliation needed. The Republicans and Democrats are opposite wings of the same bird. Keep up the good fight.

  25. Black Flag says:

No government can be held ‘in check’ – it will always – always break out of any attempt at bondage of its power.

Government is a monopoly of organized violence – as long as the people give government the legitimacy to use violence on non-violent people and de-legitimize the people to use violence in their defense against government – government will overwhelm all liberty of the people.

Without the monopoly of violence (that is, sharing it with the people), government cannot exist – it would be impotent to enforce its arbitrary law. (Arbitrary Law is a law that benefits the government and its minions at the expense of free people).

    Therefore, government must be abolished

  26. Black Flag says:

I suppose we could possibly (not probably) restore the Articles of Confederation, but it’s unrealistic if we realize the current law-of-the-land, ie Constitution is being destroyed by the very employees that took an oath to protect it.

Interestingly, I don’t think they are ‘destroying’ the Constitution at all. I believe they think they are enforcing its truest intent – protection of the people (even it means enslaving them and killing them to save them).

And for those “Doubting Thomas’s” questioning the impending reality of the implementation of a Global Government; isn’t it peculiar that monetary systems all over the world are collapsing simultaneously?

No, it is not peculiar at all – and is not a function of some “Global Government” (necessarily).

The US$ is the reserve currency of 98% of the global economy. It makes sense that if the reserve currency is fatally sick, all other currencies will die too.

Isn’t it also a coincidence that when Bernake was scheduled to attend the Congressional Financial Services hearings in Washington, he was in Basel, Switzerland colluding with World Bankers to address the “Global” financial collapse?

He owns the reserve currency – it makes sense that his primary need was to deal with that first.

And the monetary system is the way to usher it in.

They already have it – and it didn’t work.
