Guest Commentary – In the Summer of 2010

For tonight’s guest commentary, we have the return of a contributor that offered us an article a couple of weeks ago, Ron Holland. You may remember Ron’s previous offering, “Walking the Peaceful Path of Ludwig von Mises,” which you can go back and read HERE if you missed it. Ron, who is also a regular contributor on Lew Rockwell’s site, is an internationally known financial & marketing consultant & author of 3 books and over a hundred  articles, a leading speaker at financial conferences in the US and abroad and editor of several internet based news sites. Although from North Carolina, Ron has lived and worked in Geneva, Switzerland and traveled all over Europe and North America. He is a contributing editor to the Swiss Mountain Vision Newsletter and Swiss Confidential published by Appenzeller Business Press. For today’s topic we have Ron’s thoughts on the idea of smart big money folks leaving the US for safer shores. It seems to be a concept that fans of Atlas Shrugged believe will come to fruition as a regular occurrence. While I make that comparison, I respectfully ask that we save the discussions of Atlas Shrugged for another day (next week…. an article I am working on defending Atlas Shrugged and Objectivism). For today let’s stay focused on what Ron has offered, and whether the conditions he discusses are actually true.

I would not be doing my due diligence if I failed to point out that this article originally appeared on Lew Rockwell’s site:

In the Summer of 2010
by Ron Holland

Are you ready for interesting times and an exodus from the United States? A possibly apocryphal ancient Chinese curse goes “May you live in interesting times.” Those words may derive from an authentic Chinese proverb: “It is better to be a dog in a peaceful time than be a man in chaos.”

Either way, the message is easy to understand for anyone living in the summer of 2010. As I look over at Lucky, my golden retriever whose only concerns are when do we eat and when do we go back in the ocean to play ball, I can see the advantages of being a dog. But as a man I know it is time to defend my freedom and secure my wealth for myself and for my posterity.

The U.S. is wandering through a fake recovery, an expanding sovereign debt crisis, a stock market downturn and a double-dip real estate collapse. Meanwhile, the Swiss franc is moving to historic highs to the euro. And what does the conventional press want to tell us about? The “strong” dollar, who’s to blame for the oil disaster, the newest episodes in a host of foreign and domestic political soap operas and – a fresh diversion – which politicians are telling the biggest lies about their military records.

Welcome to the Fake, Jobless Economic Recovery

Last Friday, The Feds announced that the U.S. economy has added 431,000 jobs. The boldest spokespersons tried to announce this as good news, but the details revealed that only 40,000 of the total are private-sector jobs – the kind that produce things people want and are willing to pay for. The rest are little more than assignments in make-work projects designed to buy votes and beef-up the statistics on a fake recovery.

The American financial press asks hourly, “Will the euro survive as a currency?” And every time, the question is a prelude to “Again the dollar’s strength indicates it remains the world’s safe-haven reserve currency.” My response is, “Oh, really?” This is just more lies from Washington and Wall Street that you believe at your peril.

“Lies, damnable lies and statistics.” It’s an expression attributed to Benjamin Disraeli, one of my favorite British historical figures. He was prime minister twice, but in his early years he had been a stock promoter. When a boom in South American mining stocks collapsed in 1825, he lost everything, much as a later Prime Minister, Winston Churchill, did in 1929. Both Disraeli and Churchill turned to writing to repair their finances (Disraeli also married a rich widow many years his senior). Again like Churchill, Disraeli went into politics with success, and both secured loans from the Rothschild banks.

Interesting to some, though perhaps not to others. But British history over the last century is a worthwhile topic for all of us. It’s a model of what happens when an empire reaches its pinnacle and then slides into decline. It’s a model of what is happening to America today.

The Swiss Franc Benefits

As I’ve written before, the Swiss National Bank tries to keep the franc aligned with the euro, in order to protect cross-border financial relationships and trade. If the dollar goes down, usually the euro and Swiss franc both go up. If the dollar goes up, both the euro and Swiss franc go down, although not always at the same rate.

Just days ago the Swiss franc hit an all-time high verses the euro, so although both have lost some value relative to the dollar, the franc’s retreat is more modest. The real challenge for the Swiss National Bank is to limit the franc’s appreciation when billions of investor euros are flooding into Switzerland and bidding for the local currency. Contrary to what you’ll read in the American financial press, the smart money is moving into Switzerland in big volume.

Exodus Then & Now

The establishment media have been covering the challenges to Israel’s Gaza blockade with references to the excellent 1960 epic/propaganda film, Exodus. There are quite a few similarities between the British blockade of Palestine in 1947 and what Israel is doing now, including forced boarding in international waters, resistance by ship passengers, the death of Americans, a widely published film record of events and complaints of excessive use of force.

If it’s presented artfully, overreaction by those in power can feed public support for the target and sometimes allows the weaker party to prevail. The image of Gandhi and his followers being imprisoned by the British for harvesting salt from the ocean supported the formation of the state of India. The story of the SS Exodus and the British Navy sending Holocaust survivors back to Germany helped bring about the establishment of Israel. Pictures of “Bull” Connor attacking civil rights protestors in Birmingham, Alabama led to the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Whether the Palestinians and their allies will succeed in playing the victim card, time will tell.

The British resistance to the 1947 Exodus demonstrated how incompetent and cruel a collapsing empire can be. While this might be news to the general public, it isn’t news to freedom-loving entrepreneurs who are making plans to avoid the turmoil, taxes and terror coming from our desperate politicians in Washington.

Hence the exodus from America of productive, innovative Americans acting to get themselves and their wealth out before it is too late. This outflow of talent and wealth doesn’t get much coverage in the establishment news media.

The media are too busy with the pushing and shoving in the Middle East, the sovereign debt problems in Europe, the volatility of the U.S. markets and the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Those things are important (the oil trail from the Gulf may eventually run past my home in the U.S., which is on a coastal island). But an exodus from the Land of Immigrants is a far bigger story. Saving what is left of the American Dream calls for you to get at least your wealth outside the disaster zone of Washington incompetence, as one remarkable American is now doing.

The New American Exodus Begins With Entrepreneur Steve Wynn

On May 28, Steve Wynn, the entrepreneur who led the rebirth and explosive expansion of the Las Vegas Strip in the early 1990’s, made it clear that he’s had enough of the United States government. To listen to his astounding CNBC interview, Click Here. In just 4 minutes, Winn lays out a shocking indictment and heartfelt critique of the failures of Washington and the U.S. political system. Here are some excerpts:

“The climate for business is frightening here,” he says, and that’s why he’s moving half his operation to Macau.

“Common sense has disappeared in Washington DC.”

“There’s more stability and predictability in China than in Washington these days.”

“Those hypocritical SOBs in Congress, the one thing they didn’t do in the new healthcare law was to control frivolous lawsuits.”

“We’re on our way to Greece, in the hands of a confused, foolish government. It’s got to stop. It’s got to stop.”

That’s the verdict from the 468th richest man in the world. The successful, the best and the brightest are heading to the lifeboats.

Baron Nathan Mayer Rothschild boasted, “I care not what puppet is placed upon the throne of England to rule the Empire on which the sun never sets. The man that controls Britain’s money supply controls the British Empire, and I control the British money supply.”

What Rothschild said about England is just as true today in the United States. All political offices, from prime minister to president, congress and parliament, can be vacated by election, threat, bribe or scandal. The incumbents all serve at the pleasure of international monetary elites and their allied interests; an officeholder is merely a front man on a long leash. He has plenty of freedom to pursue pet projects and policies as long as he doesn’t stray from the reservation and threaten key policy and legislative goals.

Most economic, political and military events are just business as usual for financial elites and the industries beholden to them. They take advantage of real or contrived economic crises, military operations and foreign conflicts the way stockbrokers churn stocks to generate commissions. The collateral damage, causalities, wealth transfers, confiscation and mass hardship are just tricks of the trade.

Steve Wynn didn’t become the 468th richest man in the world without knowing the odds and understanding that the house always wins. If he thinks the game is rigged here in the U.S., I suggest you join him by cashing in your chips and securing your wealth so that one day you can play again in a game with reasonable odds and fair returns. It’s time to head for the cashier window, settle up and get out of the American casino.

  1. USW, I’m curious as to why you are offering this guy’s idea up for discussion again. I went back to the last article and 1) There were very few takers on the idea and 2) You never gave your opinion on the article. Are you suggesting, also, to take your money and run?

    • Ron Holland: The incumbents all serve at the pleasure of international monetary elites and their allied interests; an officeholder is merely a front man on a long leash.

Anita: Therefore it’s no better anywhere else.

      • Ray Hawkins says:

Well put Anita. Hope you’re doing well!

        • Why thank you least you’re not kicking me to the curb today. Or is this Dread Pirate Ray? 😉

          • Ray Hawkins says:

Oh no Anita – its Friday – trying to be kinder and more gentle. I got all my crankiness out earlier in the week. Make this day over with so the weekend can start!

            Cheers to you!

    • It may not be a suggestion so much as a warning. There will be a point where money leaves our shores. When that investment dries up, it is unlikely a recovery will be possible until the drain (the government) collapses or makes a massive overhaul.

I have no intention of leaving because I do not have the resources nor a better place to go. No use leaving to salvage resources that do not exist.

    • Anita,

I didn’t offer any of my thoughts because they would have made no sense. I have spent the last two days in bed hopped up on medication, lol. Some sort of flu.

I am absolutely not advocating that we should take our money and run. In my opinion, the point of the article is that while we are addressing all the things that aren’t working at the federal level, one of the biggest that we have to pay attention to is the fact that the climate for business has become more and more toxic over the years. If we really want to reverse course, which in my opinion means if we really want to get back to the point of growing our legacy instead of watching the country decline, then we have to address the business climate.

      • USW tomorrow is the big night, any predictions?

        • Penn State 24, Alabama 21

The true freshman QB stuns the Tide.

Realistically, Alabama should win this one about 30-14, but I am not conceding yet. Joe always has a trick or two up his sleeve.

          • Truthfully I am more worried about this game than when we played the cow school from Texas. Your freshman QB looked very good and our secondary is a question mark this year. I suspect we will play ball control offense and not give you much of an opportunity to score. Watch out, even without Ingram, we got some serious running backs.

            • Of course, I am first a Georgia Dawg fan, but living right on the Alabama border, I also like The Tide. And third, I am an SEC fan.

Since it looks like a rebuild year and a decent one for Georgia, I am invoking my right to be Bama fan.

              Roll Tide!!!!!

          • Big Ten including Nebraska Week 2

            “also rans” 11-1

            other guys 7-3

      • I know the feeling of being too out of it to blog effectively, lol. Hope you are feeling well bud.

  2. Economics is like a foreign language-why is the fact that the swiss franc is weaker than the dollar a bad thing for us???? And who are these elites that control everything? Is he saying leave America or just invest somewhere else? Maybe someone could do what JAC did with the article the other day-go through it piece by piece and explain what he means.

  3. Ray Hawkins says:

To echo Anita a little – from Mr. Holland’s last post there were several questions that went unanswered. I would suggest that when a guest article is going to be posted then the guest author should make an effort to respond/reply/engage – it isn’t always sufficient for the rest of us to assume what he/she meant – he should at least defend his position.

I also questioned before to what extent Holland benefits/profits from the very things he espouses. That does not mean the ideas are not sound, but the hairy eyeball should gaze upon his writings if his bread and butter is a product of what he very directly advocates.

  4. Good Morning All 🙂

THis subject has been told in so many different forms over the last two years or so that at some point, I wonder when thebottom is going to drop out? I don’t listen to or follow the tradition MSM, but get news from smaller sources less inclined to be controlled by the elite. This also reiterates what Black Flag has been saying for a very long time.

The big question for most, like myself, who don’t have much wealth to move anywhere, is what are these words telling us, and how to best prepare for what seems to be a big storm.

I look at my ywo dogs, cuddled together on the recliner like their sisters, and see the authors point there (what a great picture), but, the modest earing worker simply doesn’t have the resources to jump in a life raft and head overseas, we have to stay a deal with the storm. While the storm appears to be more financial, we all can see the continued loss of freedom and liberty, and sometimes you have to look hard at what tactics, even at the lowest level, are being used to achieve this theft, both financially and of liberty.

My life is rooted in the USA, I’m not leaving, I don’t have enough wealth to worry about a new investment stragedy, so I’m not going to worry about that. For those of us who will stay and engage the storm, it’s not the size of the person in the fight, but the size of the fight in the person.

Peace and live free my friends!

    • Ray Hawkins says:

Ditto G-Man – we’re not all Steve Wynn.

Hope you’re doing well sir – looking forward to more tales from your neck of the woods – always interesting!

      • Doing much better Ray, healing well from a back injury, and shooting the bow alot now. Canning season is close to done, just the remaining tomatoes and cabbage to go. The homemade brandy is still brewing (apple and peach) with rasberry, blueberry, grapefruit and pineapple on the shelf.

I’m focusing on deer hunting everyday, scounting, and such. Took hundreds of nice pictures of the bucks running the area, and have seen at least 7 wallhangers since the beginning of July. I’ll have five setups, 3 ground blinds and two tree stands to work their movements and feeding habits. The acorns are everywhere, which makes things alittle harder, as they don’t have to move much from their bedding areas to eat during the day.

What a life! I seen that you have a great looking boy and the dog looks like a real winner, hope everyone is healthy in your world and stays that way.

        • Ray Hawkins says:

Awesome to hear G-Man! My wife and I want to learn canning – working on some designs now on how to differently use the 3/4 acre we have to grow fruits/vegs/etc and then space in the house or potting shed to do some of the things you’re light years ahead of me on (evil grin – making own brandy and other spirits – that is very interesting!). You live in the beautiful country sir – I am jealous! Good luck on the hunting – a good hunter can pack the freezer for months.

          • I’ll gladly share any knowledge that you and the misses may want, I’ll send you my e-mail via a facebook message.

The spirits are so easy, quite tasty and very inexpensive. One batch will fill around 16 fifths at a cost of less than $25.

    • I also, have to stay and weather the storm. While I believe that the bottom has to fall out soon, there isn’t one thing I can do but sit and say, dang!!, This is gonna hurt!!!

I think it is PATHETIC that our Government is not only going to sit and do nothing to stop it, but they are actively participate in our collapse! What will be left will not in any way be what we have enjoyed as Americans before.

It ain’t perfect, ladies and gentlemen, but right now it’s still the best thing out there. And it’s NOT going to IMPROVE. It’s going to get worse by far.

    • I have no choice but to stay and stick it out. I am continuing my preparations, in MI and in my apartment in IL. Freedom and liberty are worth fighting for.

I agree that the USA is not good for business. The Health Care Bill is causing problems already. We just finished up a labor contract in Spokane and the grandfather status of health care plans became an issue. We had plans for another contract in LA that is now on hold until we can figure out what causes the loss of grandfather status. I now have 1 day to figure it out before heading off for another labor agreement negotiation. I’ve read the grandfather status language but it is not clear in regard to the specific situation we are dealing with. If the government cannot figure it out how can employers? What a mess government created.

  5. After reading Anita, V.H. and Ray let me take this in a different but very related direction.

The Steve Wynn interview was widely publicized back in May. We may have even discussed it here. I now see among the “left” a rationalization, defense, for higher taxes on the rich that plays off this supposed Exodus of the wealthy.

The story line is that the very rich are just taking their money and running overseas and this money is then invested in businesses overseas which compete against us. Further enriching the wealthy while depleting the wealth of the middle class in the USA.

They believe, in my opinion, that the wealthy/powerful business interests in this country are basically blackmailing the govt at this point. An upper class revolt of “don’t tread on me” if you will. Either reduce the regulatory controls and high taxes or we are going to “walk”.

While regulations grow every year and you could argue that the current Administration certainly projects an anti business mood, the reality is that the tax structure is the friendliest it has ever been for the wealthy. So what are they complaining about? A little 3% jump in the marginal rate is going to make you run to Switzerland or China?

Are they really running or is this all a BS bluff. Or worse yet, just a rationalization for our benefit because they decided to move to China because it is more lucrative.

And lets add this in the mix. So what if they do all run overseas. Does it really matter to us?

Now lets see if we can generate some discussion.

And a big good morning to SUFA

    • Ray Hawkins says:

@JAC – hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm – I like your points/questions a bit better. The tales of the wealthy fleeing / renouncing citizenship are not new – even I know that. And who am I tell someone they cannot go to Macau or Shanghai or Bern and/or why should I question their motives? Personally – whether I call it turmoil or the early stages of a complete & total meltdown – I think I may be no different than many others – am being more and more fiscally conservative, not carrying as much debt, learning and re-learning some self-sufficiency skills and keeping an even more vigilant eye on those I have to give my money to. I’m not sticking money in my freezer or under the mattress – but since I am not Steve Wynn and don’t have enough free cash to invest with Mr. Holland I have to pick a different road.

      • Ray

See it is all your fault. Your newly discovered, or re-discovered, frugal ways are dragging down the economy.

Come on man, do your patriotic duty and spend, spend, spend.

OK, maybe just a little sarcastic.

        • Ahhhh…JAC….How are you, Kind Sir?

I am staying. I am like Ray….but probably a little more so. I actually have no debt. No mortgage, No car payment, money in savings, ……watch what I spend but definitely not spending as much. I buy what I want but I am not splurging on anything for awhile. I am watching the economy very closely and playing it very close to the vest, so to speak.

I have many rich and wealtyh friends and no one is going over seas. And… one is investing in Swiss Francs, English Pounds, or Euros. Europe is worse off than we are..(despite the report that we are now 4th). I am very afraid of Europe and we have pulled all of our investments out of there last year.

We will ride the tempest. However, my Dad,who is 92…..said the WPA and projects did not work back then and they won’t work now. He just shakes his head and says…I won’t be here…but YOU have a problem and your kids and grand kids have a huge problem facing them.

Then he remembers 5 cent hamburgers…and when you ordered a Coke back then it was 24 oz for a nickel. Times have changed.

      • Careful Ray, you’re starting to sound like a, do I dare say it, a c…cc….con….CONSERVATIVE. Maybe even s c…c….con…conspiracy theory survivalist nut. I would be really careful cuz you might get kicked out of The Party. LOL

    • Big Good Morning to you JAC. As always, you have good thoughts. It matters to me if Cyndi books!

    • Good Morning JAC 🙂

Your question : And lets add this in the mix. So what if they do all run overseas. Does it really matter to us?

To me it matters not! I hope they all move to China. I can undercut most big business in the blue collar market when it comes to plumbing, painting, carpentry, ect.

All my purchases are now need only, Our meat is locally raised, veggies all local and with hunting season around the corner, wild game will be hittin the freezer and being canned. Other than beer, even my liquor is all natural and homemade.

So my message to the Elites are simple, please leave our great country, we don’t need you, we don’t want your sorry ass ethics and morals, and don’t let the door crack you in the ass when it closes behind you!

Ah yes! A long awaited rant!

      • GMan

Good to see your spirit has returned.

So here is my little scheme today.

I figure most of these guys/gals are of the fascist/corporatist mold anyway. They used it as long as they could and now its collapsing they want to run.

So we ENCOURAGE them to run, but please do it quickly.

Then we take back the govt and create the free market system we know will work. But here is the fun part.

We close the door first. Only foreigners who accept and understand freedom and liberty will be allowed to immigrate. The Bozos won’t qualify……..Bwahahahahahaha.

Hows that suit you this fine morning?

        • JAC,

I’m with on this plan. I’m willing to use a pair of steel toe boots to help them on their way!

        • I’m thinking that your point here is that we could survive their leaving as long as the process isn’t a slow one-so we could deal with the problems before unemployment and such killed a huge number of us.

          • V.H.

My point is, why would them leaving harm our economy at all?

If they left we would need to implement the VDLG solution quickly. Or they might start sneaking back in. Quite frankly I don’t care if some of these folks leave. They are the problem not the solution.

    • JAC,

I think they toss around some numbers, such as the top 1% paying 40% of income taxes. Not sure what their total tax burden as a percentage is, but no doubt, it’s significant. It’s not about 1% of our earners leaving, but about the 40% of the governments revenue. Who else can the government steal that kind of money from?

      • PeterB in Indianapolis says:

We don’t WANT the government to steal that kind of money, regardless of who they steal it from.

If the top 1% of all earners leave this country quickly, government will either have to cease spending on the vast majority of things, or (just like it has started to do now), it will have to spend so much so fast that it will collapse.

My guess is that they will continue to do what they are doing now, and spend so much so fast that it collapses.

This is going to be UGLY for a while, but in the long run is probably going to be the best outcome we could have.

        • Peter,

There you go again, thinking rationally. Which is OK except
you or I are not in Washington, writing checks. And the people who are there do not seem very rational.

And there are things they have been considering, such as taking over 401’s. Why not IRA’s as well? Any US citizen can leave our free country, of course, but the government might have to require 90% of their assets be kept here, or be seized(remember Swiss banks have started releasing info to the IRS). Maybe we should ask ourselves, what would Woodrow Wilson do? Suspend Habeas Corpus, give all federal agencies arrest powers.

  6. fyi: Steve Wynn

I watched a few of this guys interviews. He needs some anger management classes

  7. Run? Why?

I am an American, born and bred. This is my home. It may not be perfect by a long shot, but I won’t run when the going gets tough. I’ve made my plans, so me & mine will ride any storm out right here – as my ancestors have almost always done (a couple of loyalists during the Revolution went back to England).

    • And I know your plans included canning! 😉

      • lol…yes ma’am, it sure does. 😀 We also started dehydrating foods this year. Our pantry is almost completely full for the coming winter.

      • Hi Anita 🙂

Hope you are well! Hope your canning as well. We have tomatoes and cabbage left on our to do list as far as veggies, and any venison we havest will also be canned (minus a few steaks and some jerky strips). My inventory is at 328 quarts on the shelf, which includes venison, tomatoes, green beans, carrots, red and white potatoes, cabbage, beets, salsa, applesauce, and bread and butter pickles. Also have 35 fifths of homemade brandy with two batchs brewing.

        That’s almost a fulltime job!

        Peace my friend!

        • Gman, I had a rough spring, couldnt get a garden planted this year. I’m stressin. I’m stocking up with Del Monte & Bush’s though 🙂

          • Don’t stress too much, you have options. A nice day trip into farm country hitting some roadside veggiestands or finding some Amish who sell at very reasonable prices could solve your delema. We get our beets, apples and cabbage that way.

Our garden did great for white potatoes and tomatoes this year, with next years plans for more potatoes (both white and sweet), some more green beans and what room is left will be dependent on our inventory. I’m hoping for about 300 quarts of venison this season.

            • hmmmmm 300+ quarts and 35+ fifths..with family of 2… sounds like you need some help using up all your stuff.

PARTY AT GMAN’S PLACE. If I recall its 30 paces left of the 3rd deer blind 23 degrees due east, right?

            • G may I recommend you try Kentucky rattlesnake pole beans next year. One 100’ row with plenty of running area produced 80 quarts of beans to can plus all we wanted to eat this summer. They grow like weeds and produce all summer long as long if you keep them picked.

          • Anita

Same here, well maybe not the stress.

First year my corn has not ripened. Wet spring rotted the seed and then after replanting the summer was so cool and short it is just sitting there. The silk still hasn’t dried.

Best of Fridays to you today.

            • Bummer JAC. I can never grow corn right. I’ve read that you need to plant LOTS of it for it to fertilize itself correctly.
I did miss the garden this year though.

              • Anita

Not that much. More shorter rows works just fine. It’s more about the day and night time temps during July/August. They need to stay above 80.

We had exceptionally cool summer here. I loved the weather but miss my fresh sweet corn.

Until you get settled into your new retired life the truth is that buying canned goods is the more efficient route for you anyway. Time is precious, and canning equipment is not free either.

Also suggest some bags of dried beans, rice, flour. Get some packaged spices to make chile, stews and soups.

So my dear, does it concern you if the rich leave the country?

And I think our island buddy has already booked it. We just need to find her little hideaway. 🙂

                • Our island buddy is still a citizen even though she is still a GROUCH about it.

Now wonder why the Mich corn fields look so beautiful this year. It’s been 80+ for months. I finally turned my air off about a week ago. Let the bonfires begin!

Let the money leave the country! Who needs em as long as we’re smart enough to be self sufficient. I’m very concerned about low life terrorists taking us on right here though.

                • I’m still here, planning my escape, lol. BTW, I have no money to take with me. And yes Anita, I AM a grouch about it. Most Americans deserve the Hope-N-Change they so happily voted for. Why should I suffer it? I didn’t sign on for it. Let them hang themselves. Those that didn’t drink the Hopium Kool-Aid will survive with God’s help. I’ll come back and help you clean up the mess later. Who knows, I might even have some money by then!

              • Anita corn is easy (try some sweet G90). Plant after the ground warms up in multiple rows, no single rows with 13-13-13 fertilizer. When it is knee high side dress it with ammonium nitrate then mound soil around the corn stalks covering up the ammonium nitrate. If it does not rain within a few days of side dressing water it well and watch grow. Never fails.

                • Thanks Bama, I’m taking notes right now on corn and beans :)I’ve heard of 12 12 12 but never 13s. I’ll keep my eyes open

                  • 8-8-8, 10-10-10, 12-12-12 or 13-13-13 does not matter. The lower the number is the more fertilizer you have to use, lower number, weaker solution.

      Hi all,

Did you know that some of your localities may have “Canneries” where you can go and use their equipment (and in some cases, buy cans)?

I had no idea about this until I read it in Virginia Living…Here’s the link to the Digital Oct Issue. I hope that you are able to view it…

Hope everyone is well and winding down for a nice weekend!

      Best Regards,

  8. I see the American spirit is alive and well-just hidden under layers of garbage. This is to you guys 🙂

  9. Hmmm, I think I agree with the general mood hear. So Ron is telling everyone to “cut-n-run’? Wow – how patriotic is that! I’m sure the Founding Fathers would be proud!

If you have lots of money, you can buy your way into Switzerland or a few other “free” countries. “Free” as in liberty, not “free” to enter. How’s that work for freedom… Not sure about that one!

But I digress – for all of us poor people, the options are limited. And exactly which “free” country are you going too? And how much are you going to spend to get there?

Times are tough – but so are Americans. We’ve been thru tough times before and we survived. Probably the only way to ensure America’s downfall is for everyone to give up and leave.

If the rich want to leave, let them. Where do you think they’ll invest their money? Some in China, some in India, blah, blah, blah. But they were already doing that. The bulk of that money? When times get tough? Do you think they’ll invest in Dubai? It will be in the USA, and in US Treasuries, because they are the safest places to invest.

And if America goes to hell, the world won’t be far behind. If that happens, I want to live somewhere where I know my neighbors and speak the same language, etc. I don’t want to be the foreigner who just moved in down the street. Or worse yet the rich foreigner who depends on his local servants for survival. Social Darwinism will apply to them first…

Does anyone else remember 30 years ago? I don’t remember the exact details, but the story was that if Jimmy Carter won a second term, many people were planning on leaving the US for Canada. I think this is similar to that – it’s a setup for 2010 and 2012 elections – if you vote for the Dems and Obama, we’ll leave.

    I think it’s a bluff.

    G! & Ray,

I think what Mr. Howard has missed is some of us are preparing to ride out the coming storm. We hope it’s a brief shower, but are preparing for a hurricane. And if America is to be rebuilt, those of us who stay and form strong, tight knit communities will be at least as important as wealthy Americans who return to help re-build.

Also, if America falls that far, what country will truly be better off? The dollar is still the standard for international money. If it goes, what country has an economy that will not be devestated? With the unrestrained credit expansion of most European countries, how would Switzerland dodge the bullet that hits Greece, Germany, the UK, etc…

    • PeterB in Indianapolis says:

Switzerland is the most heavily-fortified, easily defended and almost completely inaccessable FORTRESS in the world.

I also strongly suspect that Switzerland has more VALUE stored in GOLD than “value” in ISSUED CURRENCY (that is, the value of their stored gold is likely GREATER THAN the value of their issued currency).

Switzerland has dodged many, many, MANY bullets for many centuries.

Hitler would have loved to have gained control of Switzerland, but even a megalomaniac can figure out that trying to take Switzerland by force is simply a stupid idea.

      • SK Trynosky Sr says:

This place is as good as the next. At least here, I can protect myself. If it hits the fan I might bail to Pennsylvania or upstate NY to get a bit farther away from my neighbors. Just keep a lot of trading goods handy and be prepared to stand watch 24/7. Make absolutely certain you have somebody to cover your six. Study up on booby traps. Matt and Buck, being in close proximity, are welcome to come.

I figure if everything around the Swiss goes to hell, they will have a hard time surviving on gold, chocolate, Army knives and coo coo clocks.

      • If the dollar goes, so does every other currency. The Swiss, and other countries might survive better than those countries with low gold reserves, but all will suffer a massive depression. I think strong internal markets will be crucial during the first year or two, as trade normalizes, possibly under a new gold standard.

I think the US is pretty safe from external threats, and our resources, such as farming, will allow us a quicker recovery than most nations, unless our government screws it up.

        • The current Regime is America’s greatest threat. I agree, the external threat isn’t the problem.

          • Cyndi P

            I respectfully disagree.

The inability of the American People to understand the foundational issues that caused this rot is the greatest threat.

Until the vast majority realize that the sovereignty of the individual is being replaced by the “greater good” and thus the STATE we will continue down this path.

This Administration is just another bump in the road filled with bumps, all of which are “enabled” by we the people.

  11. Maybe I am too simple minded but I don’t think Holland’s message was not for everyone to up and run but it was more about getting ready for hard times ahead. I know he said some of the rich are running but I think he is just telling us that some of the rich realize things are going south and their idea of getting ready was to leave. For us that can’t leave he is telling us not to believe all the rosy news about our recovery and make plans to care for ourselves. Just my two cents, whatever it’s worth.

  12. SK Trynosky Sr says:

I find it fascinating that guys like Steve Wynn think that if things fall apart they will be safe in Macau. Lord, haven’t we seen all this before. When the society crumbles, guys like Wynn will get picked clean by local authorities. When it’s all gone they will be cast out with the trash or deported back here.

If you want to do a little international investing, well that’s fine but to pick up and move to another country, well that I think is the ultimate stupid. Pal, they will love you until the cash runs out. There was just a program on about this average upper middle class US couple with two little boys who bought a get away place in Costa Rica. There they were their first week in their new place surrounded by smiling and laughing natives obviously enamored of the rich Yankees. Boy, I wish I could read minds!

If the world economy goes down the tubes, exactly who will be blamed and probably rightly so?

    • SK Trynosky Sr,

If the world economy goes down the tubes, exactly who will be blamed and probably rightly so?

Exactly!! I’m gonna be holed up in northern WI among friends, not in Costa Rica hoping the locals won’t turn on me!!! 🙂

  13. Bottom Line says:

  14. Do we wallow in the past or do we move forward?

    • Bottom Line says:

George Santayana – “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

      • We will never forget. EVER.

      • Where is your sense of the American spirit? Are you a citizen or a hater. If you were on a sports team you would fight til the game was over, right? In this case you are just conceding that we’re the bad guys. Were you involved in the towers coming down? No(I hope 🙂 ) You are a victim of circumstance. why don’t you STAND UP FOR AMERICA?

        • Bottom Line says:

          I think you misinterpreted me.

This IS me standing up for America. This IS my American spirit.

The 9/11 attacks were a pretext for many bad things that have undermined the “idea” of what America is.(loss of freedom, murder, war, imperialism, etc…)

It’s all about truth. If people can see that it was a terribly evil event and a fat ass lie, then maybe they will wake up and refuse to accept all that was based on that lie.

The reason I chose to primarily focus on physics is because you can’t argue with the laws of physics.

Call it a wake up call. Call it a call for justice for those responsible in the name of everyone that has died as a result of 9/11.

          • You guys present a good argument based on physics. I have opened my eyes and ALMOST believe it. But it doesn’t change my argument of we’re a victim of circumstance. The only thing we can do at this point is move on and SUFA. The people. The idea. I doubt that the majority will buy into the “reality” theory anyway. Your angle is pessimism. Mine is optimism.
We can’t live in the past. Doesn’t mean we can forget either.

Side note. I love the you tube video by the British guy: ‘911 was an inside job’ “Wake up American slobs…” How true!

            • Bottom Line says:

It’s not about optimism or pessimism, it’s about reality – truth.

The idea is to force people from their rationalizations about what actually happened. All you have to do is see it for what it is.

The applicable physics does just that. If you can just see it, the rest falls into place.

My defining moment of clarity that put it all into perspective and tipped the scales from some doubt to none whatsoever was when Flag and I were debating it around (coincidently) Newton’s birthday.

He showed me the videos where Mr. Chandler tracks free-fall acceleration. I had no sound and had to really analyze the videos. It forced me to think.

In the videos, you will notice that the buildings(WTC& and North tower)go from stand-still to free-fall acceleration in an instant. There was no gradual acceleration to free-fall speed. They go from 0 acceleration to 32.2 ft./sec squared(free-fall acceleration) instantaneously.

This means that the structural support that is holding them up had to be removed in a fraction of a second in a perfectly symmetric fashion…like it was just yanked out from underneath.

Fire does not do this. Explosives do.

The official story is a physical impossibility as they want us to believe that (for instance) the section of the north tower above the impact zone fell through 85 stories of concrete and steel at the same rate that it would fall through air.

There wasn’t even a block of building falling. It disintegrated and exploded all the way down in a progressive collapse at free-fall speed. There was nothing to make it pancake.

The whole pancake idea is just nuts.

The rate of acceleration in which the collapse happened cannot account for the level of resistance provided by 85 stories of concrete and steel.

              The same goes for WTC7.

It collapsed at free-fall speed with no impact from a plane. There was no crash zone. The whole building just collapsed as if there was NOTHING holding it up…because in an instant, there WAS nothing holding it up.

              Do you see it?

              • You can talk that stuff all day. Just say 9/11 never happened. We would still be in basically the same mess we are in today. Govt takeovers left and right leaving us less free every day. Your focus on 9/11 as an inside job isn’t even necessary. It’s not going to make dead people alive. That’s why I’m saying move on to things that we can make an impact on.(quiet BF).

Assume that 9/11 was an inside job. What is your ranting going to change? Do you think we will ever be able to nail the guys in a court? Never. So why dwell on it?

We have an ability through ranting about other problems in DC to change course. Ranting about 9/11 will get us no where.

Can you see that? I’ll check back in the am 😉

              • Bottom Line says:

Anita – “Just say 9/11 never happened.”

BL – But it DID happen. And it was the excuse for all that has happened since. Countless people have died. To dismiss it and be in denial only helps to perpetuate the evil that has spawned from it.

Anita – “We would still be in basically the same mess we are in today. Govt takeovers left and right leaving us less free every day.”

BL – I disagree. 9/11 was the pretext for all of that. Without it, there would be no acceptance of things like bullshit wars and The Patriot Act to protect us from the phantom terrorists.

Anita – “Your focus on 9/11 as an inside job isn’t even necessary.”

BL – Oh, but it is. The more people that wake up, the better chance there is for America to refuse the raping of our way of life.

Anita – “It’s not going to make dead people alive.”

BL – No, but it might save/prevent future deaths.

Anita – “That’s why I’m saying move on to things that we can make an impact on.”

BL – We can make an impact on whatever we choose to. But first we have to know what’s actually happening instead of blaming the wrong people and protesting mosques and burning Qurans and such. We gotta know where to focus.

                Anita – “(quiet BF)”

BL – BF, feel free to step in any time.

Anita – “Assume that 9/11 was an inside job.”

BL – I don’t have to “assume” as it is pretty clear considering ALL the conclusive and definitive evidence. It is huge. I have been researching this since it happened. I have 0 doubt. Just to get you pointed in the right direction, consider this…

WTC7 (which did not get hit by a plane or incur any major damage)fell at free fall speed. For this to have happened, all of the primary supports would have had to been cut simultaneously in an instant. This means explosives were used.

Now, you tell me how a group of rag-tag terrorists living in holes got into a building as secure as WTC7 and planted explosives throughout. This was a tightly secured building housing the FBI CIA SEC IRS FEMA DOD and others. Ya just don’t go snooping around in a building like that.

Who else could have done it? Who benefits?

And that is just one SMALL thing in a mountain of evidence to consider. A drop in the bucket.

Anita – “Do you think we will ever be able to nail the guys in a court? Never. So why dwell on it?”

BL – We just might one day. The movement is growing rapidly. Millions upon millions are waking up. Hell, if we’re lucky, we might even get to see a few public hangings. Wouldn’t it be cool to see “W” and friends get lynched like Mussolini? 🙂

Anita – “We have an ability through ranting about other problems in DC to change course. Ranting about 9/11 will get us no where.”

BL – I’m not ranting. I’m talking logic here. Ya know, critical thinking.

Anita – “Can you see that?”

BL – Actually, yes I can. There is a possibility that nothing will ever become of it other than a lot of pissed off people.

However, At least in the end I will have a clear conscience knowing that I didn’t just stand by and say fukit, that I made some noise, that I stood up for what is right, that I am STANDING UP FOR AMERICA.

                Can you see THAT?

                • Bottom Line says:

                  See, Anita…

The truth is coming out to the point that even the 911 commission is trying to cover their asses:

                  The Anniversary of 9/11
Washington’s Blog | If even the 9/11 Commissioners don’t buy the official story, why do you?

                  • No fair calling in your henchmen (BF). I’m having a hard enough time with you.

You are quick to put the blame on W & Co. Are you forgetting that this began years ago..Marine barracks, embassies, USS Cole. So W was behind all those tradegies too, huh?

I’m not saying our guys are clean either, just that we’re never going to get to the bottom of it. These guys have a bigger power to answer to than us. I’m saying we need to focus on things we can change. We have the power of the ballot.

We could go back and forth all day and still not get anywhere. So I’ll just concede and give you kudos for your passion on this subject. But how bout some cheer leading for the people and the American dream?

Now. Put that in your pipe and smoke it 8)

                  • Bottom Line says:

Anita – “No fair calling in your henchmen (BF). I’m having a hard enough time with you.”

BL – Lol. Good. That means I’m making ya think.

Anita – “You are quick to put the blame on W & Co.

BL – There is a LOT of inconsistencies, coincidences, and suspicious behavior surrounding “W” and friends. Like I said, I’ve been looking into this for years. I wouldn’t exactly say that I am quick to blame.

Anita – “Are you forgetting that this began years ago..Marine barracks, embassies, USS Cole.”

BL – It goes back even further than that. When you have researched it as much as I have, you start to see a long pattern of false flag black ops evil deeds.

Anita – “So W was behind all those tradegies too, huh?”

BL – No, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it were.

Anita – “I’m not saying our guys are clean either, just that we’re never going to get to the bottom of it.”

BL – We already have. Keep digging and you will eventually see. Like I said, there is a mountain of evidence. The problem is that the powers to be are avoiding reopening the case.

Anita – “These guys have a bigger power to answer to than us.”

BL – I certainly hope so. That is a rather comforting thought. I hope they all rot in hell.

Anita – “I’m saying we need to focus on things we can change. We have the power of the ballot.”

BL – The power of voting is a different topic all together. But I do see your point.

Anita – “We could go back and forth all day and still not get anywhere.”

                    BL – Indeed.

Anita – “So I’ll just concede and give you kudos for your passion on this subject.”

BL – Please don’t just concede, but rather review the videos above and make an effort to understand the physics involved. Even go so far as to bust out a calculator. It’s not that complex really, just simple Newtonian high school physics. All it takes are ballpark figures to see how ridiculous the official story is. It’ll become glaringly obvious.

Anita – “But how bout some cheer leading for the people and the American dream?”

BL – Sorry to sound so cynical. I am a realest and just don’t see much to cheer about.

Anita – “Now. Put that in your pipe and smoke it”

BL – OH, how nice it would be to have something to put in the pipe. It’s been about a month. Thanks for reminding me, Sweetleaf.

    • Great points Anita!! America is an idea-a very good one in my opinion. An idea that our youth will hopefully realize is under attack and is being stolen from them. One stupid law after another, one social program after another-that their wonderful acceptance of differences in people and their giving natures are being used to fool them into giving away their freedom.

      • Credit to JAC for America is an idea! I get tired of the blame America game. Most Americans are’t at fault for our mess. We are the ones who have to STAND UP FOR AMERICA

  15. Even if you do not buy into what this guy is saying, and even if you actually can afford to pack up all your troubles in the old kit bag and head off to Europe with a big fat socialist smile on your face, you should take a very hard look at what lies just over the horizon and figure out just what it is you really want to accomplish in life. Think about it for a little bit. When you run away from a problem, how long does it take for the problem to catch up to you even if it has taken on another form?

November is coming. And with the coming November are the so-called “Mid-Term” elections. If you run away to socialist Europe, you are just trading one socialist regime for another. Why? Because it doesn’t make one iota of a difference if the Euro is weaker or stronger than the Dollar, or the Swiss franc, or the Chinese Yuan or even the Japanese Yen for that matter. Socialism is still Socialism no matter where you go.

The epic fight for Freedom and Liberty is right here, right in your own front yard!

Your choice is either to stand up and fight, or lay down and die.

    Do not be intimidated.

    • Dude ~ Absentee ballot

Who are the commanding generals and what are their resources and territory? Or are you advocating a rhetorical ‘fight’?

Also, brought you by: The Enviro-Mental movement…

      Nothing like man-made Peak-Oil

      • *sigh* Did you read the last sentence?

The only way one can fight for their freedom and liberty in this country right now is at the voting booth.

I just happen to be one who believes that if you do not get out and vote, then you will be fighting in the streets . . .

If you haven’t been paying attention lately, you should be aware that this latest batch of crooks who were “duly elected” – some over and over again – are enacting legislation to remove any and all vestiges of individual freedom and liberty even as I write these words and even as you read them.

We all need to look at who is running for office and what political agenda they are being financially backed by, and get the incumbents out and replace them with folks who will abide by what their constituents want.

Call it what ever kind of fight you want, but getting out and voting is the only way to get things done right, ignoring the vote will just invite civil war. So PLEASE get out and vote, and encourage everyone you know to get out and vote! We do not need to give the crazy people any excuse to start a civil war . . . . .

        • I’ll cast my useless ballot. I just don’t know why I need to stay in Obamaland like some people say I should. I agree that we don’t need to encourage violence. Its just that some of the rhetoric I hear seems to call for something other than a ballot.

  16. I would really like some opinions on Ms. Kagans position.

    • She just won’t spit it out will she? That only tells me one thing….

    • Bottom Line says:

I interpret what she is saying as…

It doesn’t matter what her personal beliefs are. Her job is to support the constitution.

She is trying to dodge the question…and when pinned down she says…

“To be honest, I-I don’t have a view of what are natural rights independent of the constitution.”

In other words, she doesn’t believe in natural rights, only constitutional rights.

Rights are natural, inherent, and inalienable for all. The Constitution doesn’t grant rights, it legally protects that which is already there. She doesn’t get it.

      This lady is dangerous.

      • At least we agree on this one 🙂

        • Bottom Line says:

What DON’T we agree on, Anita?

(this is a baited question in preparation of what will probably be a long winded argument)

          • Let’s get out of Vs box. Go up a few boxes

            • SK Trynosky Sr says:

With the admonition that “I am not going there”, I have only one thing to say about conspiracies and that is, “when more than two people know about something, it’s not a secret anymore”. How many hundreds/thousands would have to stay silent?

At 17 I was convinced the Kennedy Assassination was a conspiracy. At 59 I finally got to Dallas, looked out the window, and realized that it was an easy shot.

              • Bottom Line says:

Then how do you explain the Zapruder film?

Ozwald shot him in the neck. The head shot came from the the grassy knoll.

How does his head snap back and his brains fall onto the trunk if the shot came from the depository?

                • SK Trynosky Sr. says:

Simple, the jet effect. Small hole in back, big exit hole, everything is blown out.

                  Horrible, wasn’t it?

From Dealey plaza, you can almost reach out and touch the grassy knoll. Does not look that way on TV or film but sure does in person.

  17. Bottom Line says:

The most recent Loose change movie:

Loose Change 9/11 an American Coup, narrated by Daniel Sunjata

  18. Have to lighten things up a bit.

    From A Texas Cowboy:

    1. Pull your pants up. You look like an idiot.

    2. Turn your cap right, your head ain’t crooked.

    3. Let’s get this straight: it’s called a ‘gravel road.’ I drive a pickup truck because I want to. No matter how slow you drive, you’re gonna get dust on your Lexus. Drive it or get out of the way.

    4. They are cattle. That’s why they smell like cattle. They smell like money to us. Get over it. Don’t like it? I-10 & I-40 go east and west, I-17 & I-15 goes north and south. Pick one and go.

    5. So you have a $60,000 car. We’re impressed. We have $250,000 Combines that are driven only 3 weeks a year.

    6. Every person in Texas waves. It’s called being friendly. Try to understand the concept.

    7. If that cell phone rings while a bunch of geese/pheasants/ducks/doves are comin’ in during a hunt, we WILL shoot it outta your hand. You better hope you don’t have it up to your ear at the time.

    8. Yeah. We eat trout, salmon, deer and elk. You really want sushi and caviar? It’s available at the corner bait shop.

    9. The ‘Opener’ refers to the first day of deer season. It’s a religious holiday held the closest Saturday to the first of November.

    10. We open doors for women. That’s applied to all women, regardless of age.

    11. No, there’s no ‘vegetarian special’ on the menu. Order steak, or you can order the Chef’s Salad and pick off the 2 pounds of ham and turkey.

    12. When we fill out a table, there are three main dishes: meats, vegetables, and breads. We use three spices: salt, pepper, and Jalepenos! Oh, yeah … We don’t care what you folks in Cincinnati call that stuff you eat … IT AIN’T REAL CHILI!!

    13. You bring ‘Coke’ into my house, it better be brown, wet and served over ice. You bring ‘Mary Jane’ into my house, she better be cute, know how to shoot, drive a truck, and have long hair.

    14. College and High School Football is as important here as the Giants, the Yankees, the Mets, the Lakers and the Knicks, and a dang site more fun to watch.

    15. Yeah, we have golf courses. But don’t hit the water hazards – it spooks the fish.

    16. Turn down that blasted car stereo! That thumpity-thump ain’t music, anyway. We don’t want to hear it anymore than we want to see your boxers! Refer back to #1!

A true Westerner will send this to at least 10 others and a few new friends that probably won’t get it, but we’re friendly so we share in hopes you can begin to understand what a real life is all about!!!

    And there is more………….

The COWBOY Solution to save Gasoline !

OBAMA wants us to cut the amount of gasoline we use…..

The best way to stop using so much gasoline is to deport 15 million illegal immigrants!

That would be 15 million less people using our gas.

The price of gas would come down…..

Bring our troops home from Afghanistan to guard the borders….

When they catch an illegal immigrant crossing the Border, hand him a canteen, rifle and some ammo and ship him to Afghanistan ….

Tell him if he wants to come to AMERICA then he must serve a tour in OUR military….

Give him a soldier’s pay while he’s there and tax him on it……

After his tour, he will be allowed to become a citizen since he defended this country…..

He will also be registered to be taxed and be a legal resident…..

This option will probably deter illegal immigration and provide a solution for the troops in Afghanistan and the aliens trying to make a better life for themselves.. ……

If they refuse to serve, ship them to Afghanistan anyway, without the canteen, rifle or ammo…..

    Problem solved…..

  19. But wait, there is more. Cowboys are pretty plain spoken:

    ‘Twas the night before elections

    And all through the town

    Tempers were flaring

    Emotions all up and down!

    I, in my bathrobe

With a cat in my lap

    Had cut off the TV

    Tired of political crap.

    When all of a sudden

    There arose such a noise

I peered out of my window

    Saw Obama and his boys

They had come for my wallet

    They wanted my pay

    To give to the others

Who had not worked a day!

    He snatched up my money

    And quick as a wink

    Jumped back on his bandwagon

As I gagged from the stink

    He then rallied his henchmen

    Who were pulling his cart

I could tell they were out

    To tear my country apart!

    ‘ On Fannie, on Freddie,

    On Biden and Ayers!

    On Acorn, On Pelosi’

    He screamed at the pairs!

They took off for his cause

And as he flew out of sight

I heard him laugh at the nation

Who wouldn’t stand up and fight!

So I leave you to think

    On this one final note-

  20. G.A. Rowe, D13:

Go and vote. The Democrats will be obliterated. The Republicans will win the House.

And when all hell breaks loose anyway – what are you going to say then?

Will you finally admit voting doesn’t matter?

(No, you won’t – you’ll continue to do the same stupid thing over and over again while praying for divine providence to change things).

    • Well, have offered no viable alternative. You offer a lot of plattitude and you cajole and you say move…but I do not see you following your own advice. So. yes, I will vote and I will try to change things…I will not run away and I will not stick my head in the sand and I will not adopt a bunker mentality. I will continue to try to change things for the better. I am unde NO illusion about our politics and economy…..but I see no better one out there. Neither do you. You seem to be the type of person that would cut and run to it if there were…….I will stay and I will fight.

I am not so sure the Democrats will be obliterated either…I hope so and I will do my part but I wonder.

Back to smoke cleaning. Almost done so the builders can get in….

      • D13,

        offered no viable alternative

Sure I have – but you just don’t want it nor wish to listen to it.

You have “bet the farm” on the current paradigm and you’ll be swept away with it.

  21. USWep,

I am absolutely not advocating that we should take our money and run

But I am absolutely advocating that you should take your money and move!

It takes a lot of stupid bravery to stand on the tracks with a train racing towards them whispering “it won’t hurt that much when it hits me”. But what good is bravery when you’re dead?

  22. BL,

    You’re doing just fine, sir!

Pirate Artillery is ready, but I don’t think it is necessary!

    • Bottom Line says:

Yeah, I kinda been in the trenches this weekend fighting like a mad dog, lol…and not just here at SUFA.

Over the last couple of months, I’ve awakened a few people.

I’ve given a few elementary physics lectures while using common household items to demonstrate. Then I show them the Chandler videos.

It’s fun watching the look on their faces when they have that same moment of clarity that I did.

      Learning is Fun

      Teaching is a Reward

      Knowledge is Power.
