Lighten UP!

ct4With the 2016 election less than two weeks away, I thought it would be fun to take a light hearted look at some of the many conspiracy theories surrounding this election.  Many are calling this campaign one of the dirtiest ever.  All the while, the Main Stream Media has been exposed as “truly” being biased and one sided.  That’s not part of a free press, that’s part of a propaganda machine.  That’s just part of the many frustrations of Campaign 2016.  This will of course, lead to many conspiracy theories.  Here’s a look at what some are saying is the future of America in the short term.

One of the most recent, involving George Soros, who states in an interview with Bloomberg.  In the interview, which is now going viral, Soros says with certainty that Trump will take the popular vote, despite what the polls say now, but not the Electoral College, which will go to Clinton.  When the reporter asks if that is already a “done deal” – that Clinton will be our next president no matter what – Soros says “yes,” and nods his head.  To make this story short, it concerns bribing the Electoral College Electors.

emp A former military commander – said directly that an EMP attack was definitely a consideration if it looks like Trump can beat Clinton in just a few short weeks. “He said an EMP attack was still very much on the table and that we are looking at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and DHS preparing to strengthen the defense of our nuclear power plants. He said they have stepped up the plants ability to maintain cooling capabilities in case of an EMP attack,”

It’s now clear that the same leftist media which has systematically rigged everything — staged debate questions, staged polls, rehearsed audience comments at CNN, deep collusion with the Clinton campaign, total censorship of Wikileaks emails, etc. — is colluding with Clinton-linked terror operatives who are going to commit acts of mass violence that will be blamed on Trump supporters.

My personal favorite:  Obama declares Trump victory invalid, claiming the Russians hacked the vote.  The purpose of all this is to create the narrative where a Trump victory can be declared invalid by Obama. Despite all the talk among democrats about how much they love and respect democracy, the simple truth is that they deeply hate it (and don’t trust it). There is almost no chance that Obama and the Clintons will voluntarily cede power to Donald Trump.

ct5Importantly, no matter who wins, the global debt collapse is imminent, which means the entire scam of Big Government, endless growth and high entitlement payouts is going to come to a catastrophic end. And that’s mathematically guaranteed to unfold no matter who wins the presidency.  Make sure you understand the if Donald Trump wins and takes office, the central bankers of the world will deliberately crash the system so that Donald Trump can be blamed for everything.

This is but a small sampling of the many conspiracy theories floating around these days.  There are numerous scenarios that would cause the cancellation of the elections (nuclear war with Russia), affect the outcome of the election (computer ballots being fixed, Democrat operatives counting the votes in contested areas etc), and concern post election (violent protests leading to Martial Law).  They all make for some humorous discussions and take away from the frustrations of another campaign season.  If you have some of your own, feel free to share.

  1. Crazy times, crazy indeed 🙂

  2. Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton said she hopes GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump will gracefullt accept the election results if he loses, allowing for a seamless transition. Yet, former President Bill Clinton’s administration left the White House in less than optimal conditions when former President George W. Bush was elected in 2000.

Clinton staffers, who were angry over Al Gore’s loss to Bush, intentionally created somewhere between $13,000 and $14,000 in damages, a 2002 report by The Government Accountability Office shows. The report confirmed that the acts of “theft, vandalism, and pranks” occurred shortly after the election results were announced.

Some of the most costly destruction included $4,850 spent to replace keyboards that had the letter “W” ripped off, $2,040 on cell phones that were destroyed or could not be located, and $1,150 spent on professional cleaning services.

Graffiti on walls and furniture included messages like “Hail to the Thief” written on desk drawers and “What W did to democracy, you are about to do in here” penned in the men’s restroom.

Let’s face it, Liberal’s are sore losers 🙂

  3. OUCH! Collusion between DNC and Clinton campaign began in 2014, BEFORE she even announced, new email releases reveal. Poor Bernie, it was rigged against him and he never had a chance.

  4. Clinton Foundation donors and Quid Pro Quo proven! Emails prove another scandal.

  5. Polls called out…..HRC’s lead shrinks by a half. This same exact thing happened last time the polls were called out.

    • Interesting, but really terrible.

Maybe they’re within their rights to refuse to confirm anyone, but that’s not how they should behave. To say, without even knowing who the nominee will be, that they won’t hold a hearing, is partisan politics at its very worst.

Republican Presidents appoint more conservative court members, liberal Presidents appoint more liberal members. The electorate, when we vote for President, are fully aware of this fact. We are picking the person whose job it is to pick the next jurist to the court. And, yes, it is the job of the Senate to provide “advice and consent,” and, no, the Constitution doesn’t really elaborate on what that means (I take it to me they have the absolute right to approve or not). But the Senate is supposed to be a check on the President so he doesn’t appoint unqualified or radical jurists. It’s not supposed to hold the process hostage until they get the that they would have chosen.

That’s just not how this is supposed to work.

      • That’s just not how this is supposed to work.

I hasn’t been working in your lifetime, why should it change now? The SCOTUS is only as powerful as the Administration in power, which means it’s useless to the people.

        • Dale A. Albrecht says:

Even during FDR’s days the Senate REFUSED to allow him to pack the court so his policies would be rubber stamped from top to bottom. They forced him to nominate candidates based on CONSTITUTIONAL LAW not politics and the whim of the day or the current fad

          • Clinton has not nominated anyone – whether based on Constitutional Law or astrology.

Yet, they’re refusing to hold a hearing, full stop. That’s not Congress making a principled stand against court packing. That’s naked partisanship.

            • I do not understand why you folks do not understand. Newton’s third law states every action has an equal and opposite reaction. I have been paying attention for the last fifty or so years. The D party spun out of control after 1968 and Chicago, What you see now is merely the Republicans exercising Newton;’s third law.

You already know that D’s have stated quite clearly in the past that they woudl do exactly what they are chastising the R’s for. So whats the big deal?

          • Those days are long gone. They march in lockstep now. The Republicans do not. Remember Goldwater going to the White house with the consent of all the Republican leadership and telling Nixon the jig was up. Never happen with Hillary. Show me ONE democrat, one honest man (or woman) who has even acknowledged the legitimacy of a scandal that dwarfs Watergate, Tea Pot Dome and the Grant Presidency combined. They all deny it and say we cannot point to a smoking gun. Well, Nixon, Harding and Grant were not directly involved but paid for it.

            • Dale A. Albrecht says:

The sad thing is that they do not deny it….they ignore it and deflect and say that’s old news so what….what does it matter now!!!!I know a lot of lawyers. Some were classmates of Halderman and Erlichmann…end of comment on them…but I ask the current ones I know an ask them that when they swore when they passed the bar and became LAWYERS, did they or did they not swear to uphold the law and the supreme law of this country the constitution….but they were running down to early vote for Hillary. Totally ignoring what Comey said, totally ignoring the leaks which are not being denied, not denying anything, except she’s establishment and TRUMP is going to get us into a war. Are we not in one? Are we not in one started by the establishment, are we not in a fucking mess financially by the establishment. Who has Trump threatened…NOBODY but the establishment. Hillary and Obama had directly threatened with war Russia. They caused 3. They enabled ISIS by a campaign promise, they emboldened China. They provoked Russia …where do I end and Trump will get us into a war??? and Hillary promises more and a doubling down or the current situation….are the American people that stupid……don’t answer that…. I know the answer,…I’ll be totally surprised if trump wins not only the popular vote but wins electoral also. the young folks I talked to tonight have heard and sen the Moore video…..they are working 3-5 jobs to make ends meet on top of their partners incomes….they are NOT happy… why vote establishment and status quo. As r Moore said…this will be the biggest FUCK YOU in history. I hope he’s right. I’ll do my part

            • Dale A. Albrecht says:

Harding convieniently died. Grant was dying of cancer. Nixon was still acknowledged as a very good international analyist and was out of power and lived well, but embarrased for his stupidity and following the “criminal” advise. Lawyers all. Dean, Mitchell, Erlichman, halderman. Nixons after life was never tainted with governmnet subversion and money laundering and selling out our nation….ala Hillary, Bill and obama.

  6. On a more serious note, why do you think Conservatives people engage in conspiracy theories?

Of course, sometimes they’re right. But, generally, the world just doesn’t operate that way. Especially the massive scale conspiracy theories that would require deliberate malfeasance and disciplined silence by thousands. For every massive conspiracy that proves true, there are a thousand that were just crazy people and epic amounts of confirmation bias.

I know the moon landing happened because the number of people who would have to have been in on it, and who would all have to have subsequently lied, and kept their stories straight, is just too high to be plausible. By the same argument, I know there is no conspiracy to bus thousands of minorities from New Jersey to Ohio to vote. There’d just be no way that so many people would be able to keep it secret. It’s be all over twitter within minutes.

Remember Jefferson: Three men can keep a secret if two of them are dead.

So my question, to repeat, is this: why do so many people honestly believe this stuff?

I’m not asking in a partisan sense (eg, the Obama and Clinton conspiracies), but a more general human nature kind of way. Is it comforting to believe there is a master plan? It is out of a sense of hopelessness and powerlessness that there must be greater forces at work? It is out of some overactive sense of pattern recognition? And why does it engage such a powerful confirmation bias?

Lastly: Now, for a partisan followup: It seems – to me – that it is predominantly conservatives who engage in conspiracy thinking. That’s not to say liberals are devoid of it, but that the streak is far more prominent amongst y’all. For example, we had the 9/11 Truthers (who I felt were largely marginalized and roundly ridiculed by the left), but you guys had.. well, a lot more, including Birthers (which seemed pretty mainstream), all the Clinton conspiracies above, FEMA stuff, Islam stuff, bankers’ conspiracies, etc. Why do you think that might be (or do you disagree)? I’ll again reserve my opinions so as not to bias your responses.

    • Good day Sir Mathius 🙂

I haven’t looked into the political leanings of those who are into CT’s. I will however disagree about those who believe in CT’s are mostly Conservatives, when it is Liberal’s who have wallowed in the Global Warming fraud for over a decade, including having to chnage the name because the original nonsense failed to materialize. Global warming/Climate Change is the truest form of conspiracy theory, because it uses a theory (global warming) based on skewed testing methodologies (see political polls) to achieve a desired conclusion (propaganda to get people to believe) with the goal of THEFT (Carbon taxes. environmental regulations that cost everyone money etc/ the election of a President under false pretenses)

Right now, the biggest group of conspiracy theorist’s are Liberal “Warmers”.

Most CT’s are baseless. Many have a strong list of evidence that allows for the many questions of the official narrative, including video evidence. Some are plain silly (Flat Earthers) and some are the result of overactive imaginations.

Consider where most conspiracies revolve around………government. They did after all convince millions of Americans to go to numerous wars, costing millions of human lives, based on lies (WMD in Iraq, Gulf of Tonkin lie, etc). If not for the lack of faith in government, most CT’s wouldn’t exist.

      • That’s for addressing the partisan portion of my question. Do you think you could also address the non-partisan part?

Regarding the above, your comment is very interesting. I often see things from the right said about the left seem a lot like projection. You are asserting that the left is engaged in a conspiracy theory because we believe the scientific and political consensus (or what we believe to be the consensus). And you assert that the right is not engaged in a conspiracy theory because… you believe scientists and politicians are covering up the truth. Isn’t people covering up the truth basically the textbook hallmark of any good conspiracy theory?

GW is not a conspiracy theory (as interpreted by the left). We believe what we are told by the media and a plurality of the scientific community. If it is wrong, then, at worst, we are dupes. Believing the wrong thing is not believing in a conspiracy. If we are right, we are right. If we are wrong, we were wrong. But in neither scenario was there any covert plot or conspiracy.

It is the RIGHT who have a conspiracy theory here. It is the right who believes that there is a deliberate and massive scale fraud being perpetrated by politicians and scientists and the media at every level. It is the opinion of the RIGHT, that they are lying and manipulating us for their own nefarious ends. That is a conspiracy theory.

Now, it very well could be that you are right. I’m not going to argue about that here. That’s aside from the point. The point is that the theory about GW being a conspiracy is a theory held by the right. Maybe it’s a true conspiracy. But it’s still a theory about a conspiracy. We, on the left, posit no conspiracy regarding GW. We believe it that the scientist investigate in earnest by and large, publish and are peer reviewed by and large, are reported (if sensationalized) by the media relatively accurately and interpreted by politicians as politicians are wont to do (that is, believing what suits their interest and disbelieving what does not). There is no conspiracy here. Maybe there’s bad data, incomplete models, flawed methodology, herd mentality, you name it. But that is just part of human nature, not, again, a conspiracy. Believing that thousands of people are in cahoots to make you believe something they know is a lie – that is a conspiracy theory.

        • I don’t consider CT’s as a “political” thing for the most part. Unless it applies solely to what the politicians say. Liberals tend to believe the government and the “official story”. Conservatives tend to be less trusting. While not wanting a debate on GW/CC, not ONE thing claimed to occur due to GW/CC has materialized. In fact, mostly the opposite occurred, yet the fraud/theory goes on. Not that much different that the Flat Earther’s too me, except the GW crowd are constantly hit with the propaganda. The Storms will be more frequent and stronger (after Katrina)….the opposite occurred, less storms and not nearly as strong. The polar ice caps will melt…..NOT. The sea levels will rise …..NOT (not only NOT, but being blatantly lied about by HRC). I can go on, but you get the drift.

Some good CT’s, not politically associated, per se, like 911 and Sandy Hook have plenty of evidence to support them. Remember, it was ME who posted right here a few years ago that Saudi had much to do about 911 and was laughed at. I was right. Look how long that fact was kept a secret (officially).

But, for the record, I do think most CT’s are politically and financially motivated. GW/CC is no different that WMD in Iraq in that aspect. A few will become enriched and powerful while the many will become poorer and weaker. I’m sure that we could talk about any of them and show how this happens. We probably both agree that if you follow the money, the truth isn’t far behind.

        • Mathius

Point of order. The left in fact have a conspiracy theory regarding AGW.

The left for years has claimed that Big Oil conspired with certain politicians and scientists to hide AGW from the public. Remember, the Koch brothers are behind everything evil per the left.

Current litigation against Big Oil by certain Democrat AG’s is based on the theory of a conspiracy to hide the truth. Claiming that Big Oil committed the same conspiracy to cover up reality as Big Tobacco.

The left believes that the timber industry conspired with federal land mgt. agencies to steal timber from the american people. And of course to cause untold environmental damage.

Now for another point of order. Conspiracies do not require hundreds of people to be in on the scam. All it takes is one or two, two by definition I suppose. AGW is such a thing, regardless of which side you take.

You make a good point about whether something is simply wrong vs. a conspiracy. Begging the quesiton, what makes something a conspiracy vs. just a bad idea or false information.

Let us use AGW to show if and where a conspiracy would have occurred. I could have been between the TWO scientists who came up with the first round of data. Or one could have cooked the data and a handful gone from there. Or, they could have come up with the idea from the data, and then Al Gore and the Environmental leadership decided to run with the ball. Their motive would be political and possibly financial. The scientist’s could be financial or to vindicate his reputation. The point being it seems to me there has to be some motivation to call it a conspiracy and a known attempt to spread the scam.

But since the beginning of the AGW issue there comes another conspiracy. That is the group of people who have in fact conspired to silence the opposition. This was a deliberate act coordinated by a few in the leadership roles. Again, the rest do not have to know, they just go along. Because they are convinced of the righteousness of the issue and that the anti AGW crowd are threatening the planet’s survival.

Years ago I caught scientists having field staff doctor data if the data collected did not fit their preconceived idea of what it should look like. There was ONE scientist who told field crews to do this. The field crews did as they were told. Was this a conspiracy? If I had not had someone looking over their shoulders nobody would have known the data was fixed. Yet the field crews had no motive, other than to do as told. This bad data was to be used by this Scientist and others to prove timber harvest was destroying water quality and fish habitat.

Would that use of the data been a conspiracy? The other scientists may or may not have known the data was fixed. But they certainly conspired to use the information for a single purpose that was contrary to their employers goals. They would leak this information to Environmental groups to help undermine Agency efforts to sell harvest timber or permit a mine.

Speaking of mines. Al Gore and his staff told the NYT about the outcome of a science report that would show the New World Mine would have a negative impact on Yellowstone. BEFORE the report was actually published and CONTRARY to the reports actual findings. Is that a Conspiracy? Because only Gore, Katie McGinty and one other staff person were there at the meeting. The NYT participated but did they know the information provided was false? Did they care? If not were they not conspiring to present the news per the desires of the Clinton Administration?

In each of these there were only one or a small number of people who knew and carried out the scam. The rest of the people simply went along, assuming everything was OK. Some conspiracies require many to go along, others do not. Remember, people suffer this thing called Confirmation Bias that clouds our judgment when we find things out of sync with what we believe or think should be the truth. One reason it takes whistle blowers so long to come forward. It is not just fear of intimidation but the disbelief they were lied to all this time.

          • Dale A. Albrecht says:

Along your thoughts. The Russians were providing data to the climate studies. They asked a simple question “where did our data fall on the charts?” They were told by the scientists that their data was NOT used, it did not fit the model!!! This was in the leaked information and the Russians that started the ball rolling on the AGW is a scam. That is by all stretches of the imagination….cooking the books.

          • An excellent and thoughtful post.

Firstly, let me stipulate that you are quite correct about the Conspiracy Theory that the energy industry was in on GW and suppressed findings. This would be in line with the Tobacco industry’s similar tack many moons ago (a legitimate, documented, actual conspiracy!).

I really like your clarification – a case no one here has previously made to me – that the many conspiracy theories advocated for here are conspiracies of a handful of people, stringing the masses along as dupes. Thus, in this view, the International Global Warming Conspiracy is simply Al Gore and two or three scientists who faked a report and got the ball rolling and everyone just… went along with it (presumably for the funding / prestige / confirmation-bias / political clout).

That, while I still don’t buy it, is far – FAR – more plausible than the alternative (that thousands of scientists and politicians are engaged in a deliberate and massive fraud, yet somehow manage to keep it quit).

So, you raise some great points, but I’d like to revert, if you’d be willing, to my initial question: Even if there are actual honest to god conspiracies (and, by your narrower definition, there certainly are), the fast overwhelming majority of conspiracy theories are still certainly false and the result of willful confirmation bias, overactive pattern-recognition, and otherwise flawed reasoning. My question to you is this: give your clearly well-developed understanding of the subject, why do so many people buy into nonsense conspiracy theories*?

*Not GW, but contrails and mole people and 9/11 Truther, and Clinton.. well, Clinton everything, and Birtherism, and Sandy Hook, etc).

            • Mathius

Why do people fall for scams by mail or telephone? Why would anyone believe the IRS is sending them an email asking for their personal data??

Maybe some of the same psychological factors come to play with both.

I do think the conspiracy theories start often with fear and today with the internet it is easy to provide just enough contrary evidence to feed the possibility of the conspiracy. Which is a form of confirmation bias itself if you think about it.

Oh, you are wrong about oil companies hiding global warming as a true conspiracy. Because if you accept that one then everything Clinton becomes real.

One part of the conspiracies of the past decade which I find interesting is the confluence of right and left. That is fear of govt. and fear of private sector. The difference seems to be the rights recognition the two act together, while the left often still thinks the govt. was somehow fooled or manipulated by Corporation X. But in a way the various theories confirm a bigger one. That govt and Corp X have been melding together and we have reached a point where left and right conspiracies about this are being confirmed by outfits like Wikileaks.

Oh, one other thought. Some of these conspiracies may spread or last due to people seeking answers that are not easily found. I give you the theory that drug companies caused Autism via the vaccines and everyone knew it and they are still doing it. Or that Autism is actually caused by “food allergies” that Monsanto is deliberately hiding.

    • would require deliberate malfeasance and disciplined silence by thousands

I can relate on a personal level. How many times have you been left out of the loop because you weren’t ‘one of them’. The drug scene comes to mind for me. I smoked my share of herb, but never did other drugs. In time, I was amazed at how many I know personally did other drugs. They knew I didn’t do drugs so I wasn’t privvy to who did drugs. Not a peep. Until a mole pops up, plants a seed, then simple observation proves the mole right. Of course, in time, loose lips did sink ships. I can see how the same could happen on a larger scale. Especially when you’re told what beautiful grand children you have and it would be a shame if……

      • People talk all the time about stuff. They are then either offed or called conspiracy theorist’s. Imagine if the Email leaks about the DNC colluding with the HRC campaign had ONLY been a CT with no documents? The guy who leaked the emails would likely be alive…… and unemployed…and it would have been blown off as another conspiracy theory.

    • Dale A. Albrecht says:

I’ll single out the “Bankers” and add stock brokers and wall street and hedge fund manipulators. They are a constant conspiracy since time immemorial, and rightfully so. FDR hired Joseph Kennedy to close the holes that wall street types and bankers used to create a large portion of the crash of 29. Why…he was one of those that helped it along and also profited from it….we’ve seen it over and over. ’80’s saving and loans, 00’s housing,,,’10+ auto and tuition loans, tomorrow who knows. Junk bonds…..aptly named

      • Speaking as a Hedge Fund type, I am certainly not engaged in any conspiracy.

        Speaking as a Jew, well… nevermind. 😉

  7. Watching the Trump rally on RSBN. Written in permanent marker on a Trump sign:

    KFC Hillary Bucket
    2 Thick thighs
    2 Small breasts
    1 left wing

  8. Mathius

Perhaps “conspiracy theories” stem from our fears. The following is a clip from a larger piece on why the left’s conspiracies are largely less of a threat or more misplaced. I did not bring that forward but only the two summaries of the fears of each side. Which I think does a fair job of summarizing them.

“Right-Wing Conspiracy Theories and Left-Wing Conspiracy Theories Compared

Right Wing (in America, not Europe) means American constitutionalism — favoring private property, individual rights (private enclaves of freedom for peaceful people), free markets, and constitutional limitations on government. In such a system peaceful people would be free to pursue their own private plans and to satisfy their needs and wants through private alternatives offered by self-motivated (profit-seeking and loss-avoiding) business people in the marketplace. The function of government would be limited essentially to protecting the rights of peaceful adults in their persons and properties from criminal violence and fraud and from foreign threats..

Left Wing means opposition to private property and instead strong support for the government to take over and control everything (at least the major industries) in one big government monopoly. Under such a system, people have to depend on one monopoly source (the political state) for the things they need. Private alternative sources, if they exist at all, only exist as “black” (illegal) markets run by criminals.

Right-Wing Paranoia – fear of Big Government abuse of power and tyranny.

Left-Wing Paranoia – fear of corporations and Big Business abuse of power and exploitation.

Right-wing conspiracy theory tends to focus on efforts by communists and other hard-core, organized socialists, fascists, and advocates of Big Government to impose an absolute tyranny or “New World Order” on Americans in particular and mankind in general in which major industries and products (food, energy, media, money and banking, etc.) would be owned or controlled by government bureaucrats as world monopolies with no private alternatives allowed — and the rights of peaceful people in their lives and properties destroyed completely by political central planning and control. As major steps in the direction of bigger and more intrusive government over our lives and businesses, right wingers can point with dismay at several successful political achievements, made by the organized Left over several decades, such as the enactment of the Income Tax (second plank of Karl Marx’s Communist Manifesto), the passage of the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 (fifth plank in the Communist Manifesto), increasing control over education by the national government, inheritance taxes, the UN, the Environmental Protection Agency and various “environmentalist” regulations on private business and land use, and many other political attacks on private property rights and the private plans of individuals over their own lives. From the Right’s point of view, these measures must be abolished or rolled back as soon as it is politically possible to do so — rather than remaining as permanent fixtures in American society. Right wingers would return the government to the restrictions imposed on it by the Constitution and Bill of Rights, and (ideally) limit government’s scope to using its powers to combat criminal violence and commercial fraud, and to defend against foreign aggressors, as opposed to trying to organize society through any politically imposed central plan or trying to ameliorate inequalities of wealth or income.

Left-wing conspiracy theories, on the other hand, tend to see the source of evil in the world as private selfishness, the profit motive, private property itself, American capitalism (as based on private property rights and the profit motive), and irreconcilable “class differences” (between the workers who use the tools and machines and those who own the tools and machines). The Left fears what it perceives as the “economic power” of Big Business, and considers this power to be “exploitative” in a bad sense — an “unfair” advantage of the “strong” over the “weak” resulting from a lack of sufficient government regulation in a free-market economy. It is because of this belief system and the fear of “economic power” that those on the Left agitate for more and more government controls and regulations. Further, the Left seems obsessed with a vision of a politically planned society, in which each individual would be made to conform to a planning matrix devised by supposedly superior philosopher-king bureaucrats. Only in this way, they believe, can war and social disharmony in the world be eradicated forever — and only then will the “economic power” of corporations be stifled.”

  9. Dale A. Albrecht says:

Getting away from conspiracy for a moment….one of the reason I hate the new technologies is the constant connection and intrusion. Nobody seems to be able to say NO and put the damn phone or tablet down, even while eating. I went out for breakfast and everybody in the place was working on their phones or tablets while trying to choke down their food. In a lot of ways it’s a choice, but in many ways it’s not. I could overhear the phone converations, they were not personal, but business that belonged in the office, not in the public. My last job I could not get away, no way, no choice. There is no way in heck I could do the work no matter how efficiently withing a normal 8-10 hours day. They were 16-18. Even on vacations. One of the last vacations I took when a manager at at&t I and my girlfriend at the time rented a place on the beach in Miami for a week. I sent exactly 45 minutes on the beach and that was to tell her that I had to go back and do more work. I needed to see the sun. Every night I wound up working until like 0200…it was expected and demanded. My brother and I went to a boat show in Mystic CT fro NC. He constantly was working on his computer. We even had to stop of in Armonk on the way.

When my Father was with IBM and leading the charge into the new computing era…..he may be gone for long periods of time. He may have worked a guarenteed 10 hour day, not including commute……but he NEVER NEVER NEVER brought his work home. When he was home and off he was home and we went and did things like go to Yellowstone, Death Valley, fishing, boating, hiking etc. Sometimes we’d meet him somewhere to save him the trip home only to go back. Sometimes we’d go on our own…..but he never crossed family and work lines. That is what I dislike about today….you can not get away. I never take my phone out. If I drive, it stays in the car. Off. I’m with the person I’m with, not waiting for for the next best thing. Slow down, take a breath it’ll be there when you get home.

And yes I did watch the Jetson’s sometimes. But we usually did not have a TV. It was more important to be outside playing or actually working so Dad was free when he came home and didn’t have chores to do.

    • Dale A. Albrecht says:

But then did I get away from conspiracy…..Google manipulates search strings, Facebook won’t post things that they do not like. youtube deletes content limiting even legit alternate media. HuffPo blocks you…that is not a conspiracy that is total propaganda manipulation ala “Pravda” The only message you see or hear is the government permited speech. That is not a conspiracy…that is reality.

  10. Mathius….don’t you think that conspiracy theories are in the eye of the beholder? Sort of along the lines of one man’s trash is another man’s treasure?

  11. You never start a conspiracy theory unless there is a definite end.The masses? Well, they want to believe in conspiracy, truth or falsehood.

The Global Warming issue, for example, is a perfect example. It is money…it is grants…it is funding…it is not real. Climate change IS real but climate change is something that has been going on for centuries….Then a hypothetical can turn into a real conspiracy after awhile.

Like what the white house is trying to do now that all these emails are coming out……THE RUSSIANS DID IT and DONALD TRUMP FINANCED IT.

  12. There is no conspiracy with HRC……she is a criminal….with malfeasance and the FBI is in the tank.

  13. Interesting side note. As a 27 year old staff atorney for the White House Judiciary Committee during the Watergate investigation, Hillary Rodham was fired by her supervisor, democrat Jerry Zeifman. When asked why she was fired ( and this is a quote) ” Because she was a liar. She was an unethical and dishonest lawyer and she conspired to violate the Constitution, the rules of the House, the Rules of the Committee, and the Rules of Confidentiality”.

  14. When Bill Clinton was president, he allowed Hillary to assume authority over a health care reform. Even after threats and intimidation, she couldn’t even get a vote in a democratic controlled congress. This fiasco cost the American taxpayers about $13 million in cost for studies, promotion, and other efforts.

Then President Clinton gave Hillary authority over selecting a female attorney general. Her first two selections were Zoe Baird and Kimba Wood – both were forced to withdraw their names from consideration. Next she chose Janet Reno – husband Bill described her selection as “my worst mistake.” Some may not remember that Reno made the decision to gas David Koresh and the Branch Davidian religious sect in Waco, Texas resulting in dozens of deaths of women and children.

Husband Bill allowed Hillary to make recommendations for the head ofthe Civil Rights Commission. Lani Guanier was her selection. When a little probing led to the discovery of Ms. Guanier’s radical views, her name had to be withdrawn from consideration.

Apparently a slow learner, husband Bill allowed Hillary to make some more recommendations. She chose former law partners Web Hubbel for the Justice Department, Vince Foster for the White House staff, and William Kennedy for the Treasury Department. Her selections went well: Hubbel went to prison, Foster (presumably) committed suicide, andKennedy was forced to resign.

Many younger voters will have no knowledge of “Travelgate.” Hillary wanted to award unfettered travel contracts to Clinton friend Harry Thompson – and the White House Travel Office refused to comply. Hillary managed to have them reported to the FBI and fired. This ruined their reputations, cost them their jobs, and caused a thirty-six month investigation. Only one employee, Billy Dale was charged with a crime, and that of the enormous crime of mixing personal and White House funds. A jury acquitted him of any crime in less than two hours.

Still not convinced of her ineptness, Hillary was allowed to recommend a close Clinton friend, Craig Livingstone, for the position of Director of White House security. When Livingstone was investigated for the improper access of about 900 FBI files of Clinton enemies (Filegate) and the widespread use of drugs by White House staff, suddenly Hillary and the president denied even knowing Livingstone, and of course, denied knowledge of drug use in the White House. Following this debacle, the FBI closed its White House Liaison Office after more than thirty years of service to seven presidents.

Next, when women started coming forward with allegations of sexual harassment and rape by Bill Clinton, Hillary was put in charge of the “bimbo eruption” and scandal defense. Some of her more notable decisions in the debacle were: She urged her husband not to settle the Paula Jones lawsuit. After the Starr investigation they settled with Ms. Jones. She refused to release the Whitewater documents, which led to the appointment of Ken Starr as Special Prosecutor.

After $80 million dollars of taxpayer money was spent, Starr’s investigation led to Monica Lewinsky, which led to Bill lying about and later admitting his affairs. Hillary’s devious game plan resulted in Bill losing his license to practice law for ‘lying under oath’ to a grand jury and then his subsequent impeachment by the House of Representatives.

Hillary avoided indictment for perjury and obstruction of justice during the Starr investigation by repeating, “I do not recall,” “I have no recollection,” and “I don’t know” a total of 56 times while under oath.

After leaving the White House, Hillary was forced to return an estimated $200,000 in White House furniture, china, and artwork that she had stolen. What a swell party – ready for another four or eight year of this type low-life mess?

Now we are exposed to the destruction of possibly incriminating emails while Hillary was Secretary of State and the “pay to play” schemes of the Clinton Foundation – we have no idea what shoe will fall next.

But to her loyal fans – “what difference does it make?”

Electing Hillary Clinton president would be like granting Satan absolution and giving him the keys to heaven!

And just think, since leaving the White House, the Clinton’s, through 2014, have made $221,139,576.00

and BOTH are drawing taxpayer funded U. S. Government pensions.

    • It is reportedly well known that Vince Foster and Hillary were screwing, alot, in the White House. As the story goes, he threatened to blow the whistle……….and his suicide was inevitable….so the story goes.

  15. conspire

    Full Definition of conspire
    conspired conspiring
    transitive verb
    : plot, contrive
    intransitive verb
a : to join in a secret agreement to do an unlawful or wrongful act or an act which becomes unlawful as a result of the secret agreement
    b : scheme
: to act in harmony toward a common end

    • conspiracy
      noun con·spir·a·cy \kən-ˈspir-ə-sē\

      Simple Definition of conspiracy
: a secret plan made by two or more people to do something that is harmful or illegal
: the act of secretly planning to do something that is harmful or illegal

      Source: Merriam-Webster’s Learner’s Dictionary
      Examples: conspiracy in a sentence

      Full Definition of conspiracy
      plural conspiracies
: the act of conspiring together
a : an agreement among conspirators
      b : a group of conspirators

  16. When I refer to conspiracies I usually think of the term defined under #2. Two or more people working together for a common end.

But I find it interesting that these definitions, and others I searched, all used the terms “illegal or harmful”.

This would lead me to believe that there is a conspiracy afoot to restrict the definitions in order to limit conspiracies to only non govt. or govt actions in violation of law. In other words, no charges or indictment would eliminate the conspiracy and turn it into nothing but “bad judgment”.

    • Dale A. Albrecht says:

YES….I totally will buy into that.

      1) Bernanke says years ago….we have to get people spending, not saving and also buying on CREDIT not cash. Consumption and credit is what our economy is based on. Back in my younger days, consumption yes, credit NOOOO.

      2) Tech upgrades and changes…I lived and breathed them. When you are forced to buy a new security system that also doesn’t work because they do not support earlier versions. When you have to buy a new computer because the OS is no longer supported, which makes you buy all new software because all the drivers have changed, Causes you to buy a new printer because not only the drivers are obsolete and them changing only the INK CARTRIDGES….Quality, NO, Peerformance NO, print density NO, Faxing NO, PDF no, chip inserts NO….this is not the buggy whip or milk man

      3) Th reports that the government can track you anywhere via your cell phone whether it is on or not are TRUE. The only way to disable that is to pull the battery…..try buying a NEW cell phone, iphone that you can change out or pull the battery. It does not exist from any manufacturer. I just checked with at&t. The battery fails instead of buying a new battery…buy a new phone, you do not want the expense of a company prying open the phone to install a new battery…what credit for another $600-$800 phone when a new battery for $32 will fix it. This is by definition a conspiracy from the central banks, Banks, government and companies, to generate business, security, slavery to the banks….I hate it.

Bottom line is that technologies developed were great. They would last a long time, but once bought the revenue STOPS to the banks via credit and the corporations because we just do not have that many NEW people worldwide coming online. We bought a long time ago what we wanted and it still functions…..obsolete the most elemental item in that chain and instantly you have to buy $2000 if not more to replace something that believe me was and still is state of the art….that is a conspiracy. I stopped at $1500 and I did not even get to my applications and into my printers and scanners….and believe me the quality of the new is not better and between the printer and scanner it is well in excess of $2000….BFS…that stands for Bull F!!!!! S!!!.

The only new technology I plan on buying is the “GoPro” for recording my sailing canoe voyages and putting them on Youtube..

  17. Conspiracy theories, in many ways are also entertainment/educational motivation/debate generating and can be quite thought provoking. Discounting them, by there very nature, is a sign of normalcy bias. When 911 happened, I thought to myself that I would have never likely conceived hijacking and flying airliners into skyscrapers. It’s beyond my “evil” thinking capabilities.

That thinking has evolved. Not my “evil” thinking capabilities, but trying to understand the mindset of those who did conceive and carry out such an action is quite an exercise, one that continues today. Then someone plays an audio recording of the owner of the buildings hit by those airliners stating that ‘WE made the decision to pull the building”, referring to building 7. A whole new meaning of evil became apparent.

  18. Another Clinton Lie exposed by the email leaks…subject: Miss Universe

Lies, Lies and more damn Lies.

  19. PORTLAND, Ore. – The leaders of an armed group who seized a national wildlife refuge in rural Oregon were acquitted Thursday in the 41-day standoff that brought new attention to a long-running dispute over control of federal lands in the U.S. West.

A jury found brothers Ammon and Ryan Bundy not guilty a firearm in a federal facility and conspiring to impede federal workers from their jobs at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, 300 miles southeast of Portland where the trial took place. Five co-defendants also were tried one or both of the charges.

  20. In today’s modern era full of amazing information and the ability of the people to get past government propaganda, it should be quite possible to avoid stupid wars amass with death, destruction and the outright murder of innocents. Yet, we struggle to tell those in government what I am stating here. We have no cause or reason for any legitimate war, at least one not totally caused by the very government officials we can’t seem to both shut up or hold accountable. This realization should be very thought provoking and quite maddening, as we are by far the majority versus government and their propaganda tools. The problems are not hard to see, when we look past the crap salads we are fed daily by their propaganda mouthpieces. To stop war, we must stop the people responsible…….politicians.

  21. Leftist conspiracy theories:

The Civil War was caused by bankers

the Spanish American War was caused by bankers

The First world war was caused by international Jewish bankers

the second world war was caused by international Jewish bankers

The Viet-nam war was caused by international bankers

The Gulf war and its progeny were caused by bankers controlled by Israel.

The Jews control the media (a conspiracy shared with the right).

Oh yes, the Jews were also behind black slavery in the United States.

    • Dale A. Albrecht says:

      1) Civil War caused by economics and related issues….yes
      2) Spanish American War??? Was William Randolph Hearst Jewish?
      3) Family feud…all cousins
      4) The Jew were the convienient scapecoat
      5) ??? remember the domino theory fully adhered to by the CIA and administration at the time DEMS.
      6) The Saudis and Kuwaiti’s demanded loan payment after Iraq and Hussain saved their bacon and expended close to a million lives against Iran…simplistic but at the root
      7) Is the owner of the NYT Jewish, Is Rupert Murdock jewish, is the owner or the Washpost Jewish, is the Huffpo run by a jewish lady
      8) did the islamic arabs and the blacks themsleves sell almost all of their BLACK AFRICAN captives to a market worldwide…yes….what did the jews have to do with that? The Portugese were not jews, the Spanish were not jews, the British were not jew, nor the french

Anglo exploration beyond the coast did not occur until the slave trade was mostly stamped out. Like the 1880’s…who still as a culture openly espouses slavery to those who do not submit…..Islam….and to be fair most progressive socialistic societies.

Submit Re-educate, or Die…that is the lesson I’ve learned in my life and also before by looking back to te 1789 french revolution which the historians say was the 1st true democratic revolution not the American….that was to bloodless by comparison.

  22. Dale A. Albrecht says:

I equate the secret service and our intelligence services to the Roman Praetorian Guard. The sad thing is that the current guardians have sold out and the guard of old disposed of the evil emperors and installed new ones. Regardless of what the senate said.

  23. Internet data mining expert Cliff High says the “naked data” on the Internet shows Trump winning the 2016 Presidential election by a “landslide.” High explains, “You can do a search on YouTube that brings back a list of primary speeches by both candidates. I am not talking about Fred Smith’s copy of a video he made of Trump. I am talking about a speech took officially of Trump, and they released it officially. If you take just those, you can see you’ve got Hillary Clinton on one side with 2,165 views, and Trump on the other side with 775,653 views. So, that is not anecdotal. This is a very crude level of statistical analysis, but it is nonetheless statistical analysis, and it is very pointed because it is extremely self-selecting. There is nobody watching you when you choose to watch something on YouTube. So, there is no peer pressure or external person polling you. . . . It’s what I call a very naked data set because there is no pressure on an emotional level on people.”

How big is Trump winning by? High says, “Basically, when you go through all the analysis and all the other video archives, you come up with a 25 to 1 ratio (in favor of Trump).

This is Mathius’s part: High contends the mainstream media polls are “100% manufactured.” High says, “Always look at the source. All these polls are part of the six propaganda outlets the government uses. So, obviously, it’s propaganda, and they are manufacturing it. It’s made for a specific agenda. It’s propaganda. They need to have it in everybody’s mind conceptually. Basically, they are doing mind framing or collective brainwashing, if you want to think about it that way. 😀

  24. One man murdered. No convictions. A clear use of the NDAA’s indefinate inprisonment.

People accused of MURDER are given bail.

    • My turn to nit pick

Pretty sure this has nothing to do with NDAA. Remember the rumble at GMan’s blog between Plainly and me? NDAA involves voluntarily renouncing your citizenship while simultaneously being hostile to the USA. The Bundy crowd wan’t even close to renouncing their citizenship. You could make a case that they were hostile to the USA but it was no where near the level as say…Awlaki

      Blast from the past:

      • Anita,

The government is well known for applying laws in ways never intended. The NDAA in it’s current form does allow for indefinate detention under certain circumstances. The FACT that the Bundy’s have been jailed since Spring without bail, having not hurt ONE HAIR on anyone’s head shows clearly that the law is LIKELY being used to keep them detained. All one needs to do is look at the cop charged with murder down South not long ago. Turned herself in, released on bail THAT DAY! I can see No LEGAL reason these people are still in jail, period. It’s a complete violation of their Constitutional Rights.

      • The coda to the stunning verdict, undoubtedly a significant blow to federal prosecutors, was when Ammon Bundy’s lawyer Marcus Mumford argued that his client, dressed in a gray suit and white dress shirt, should be allowed to walk out of the court, a free man.

U.S. District Judge Anna J. Brown told him that there was a U.S. Marshal’s hold on him from a pending federal indictment in Nevada.

“If there’s a detainer, show me,” Mumford stood, arguing before the judge.

Suddenly, a group of about six U.S. Marshals surrounded Mumford at his defense table. The judge directed them to move back but moments later, the marshals grabbed on to him.

“What are you doing?” Mumford yelled, as he struggled and was taken down to the floor.

As deputy marshals yelled, “Stop resisting,” the judge demanded, “Everybody out of the courtroom now!”

Mumford was taken into custody, a member of his legal team confirmed.

Ammon Bundy’s lawyer J. Morgan Philpot, said afterwards on the courthouse steps that Mumford had been arrested and marshals had used a stun gun, or Taser, on his back. Another member of Ammon Bundy’s legal team Rick Koerber, echoed Philpot, saying he heard Mumford questioning in court why they were using a Taser against him.

Philpot decried the marshals’ treatment of Mumford in the courtroom. “What happened at the end is symbolic of the improper use of force by the federal government,” he said.

By 6:30 p.m., Mumford was released from custody. He confirmed that he was struck with a stun gun once while he was on the floor of the courtroom.

  25. I have a Conspiracy Theory that they are starting Christmas earlier every year. Obviously, this is part of some massive nefarious plot.

Can we all band together and agree that it is not Christmas season starting OCTOBER 28TH!?!

    • Jewish bankers trying to make more money!

    • No sir, I cannot agree… started October 2.

      • In the future, Christmas season will begin December 26th and end December 25th of the following year.

It’s a Wonderful Life will have its own cable channel and will simply be left playing on a loop in perpetuity. Every radio station will be legally mandated to play Feliz Navidad at the top of every hour. Festive holiday sweaters will be obligatory year-round – even in Texas in the middle of the summer.

      • Dale A. Albrecht says:

The earlier Christmas shopping begins is an indicator of how good the rest of the year was for retailers….In other words is sucked.

  26. FLOTUS dissed POTUS and doesn’t even know it. ROFL!

    Hillary Clinton ✔ @HillaryClinton
“We have never had a more qualified and prepared candidate for president than our friend Hillary.” —@FLOTUS

    • I don’t really see how that’s a “diss”…

One of the biggest criticism against Candidate Obama (ignoring the conspiracy theories and unfounded inflammatory accusations) was that he was inexperienced and unprepared. I remember reading (including here) tons of posts criticizing the one-term Senator and mocking that his CV was basically just being a “community organizer.”

Clinton, by contrast, has 30+ years of experience in elite politics, plus the unprecedented experience being married to (and deeply involved in the politics of) the President for his terms.

Anyone who thinks she’s not more qualified than Candidate Obama was is living on another planet. And I don’t see how it’s a “diss” to recognize empirical reality.

This, of course, is a far cry from saying she’s a BETTER candidate than Obama. Or that she’d be a better President. Just that her resume and qualifications are better than his was, and I don’t think that’s really debatable.

The further claim that she’s the most qualified ever.. I don’t know that I can support that or that it’s quite so irrefutable. In terms of being qualified, there’s FDR who was a candidate with TWELVE years of experience being President, and that has to be better than Clinton’s qualifications. But maybe she’s not counting running for reelection.. In that case, I’m not sure you can get much better than Thomas “I wrote the damned Constitution with my own hands” Jefferson.

So I’m going to interpret this tweet as what it’s meant to be: supportive bluster and “puffery” aimed primarily at making the point that, while Clinton is is highly qualified, Herr Trump is not.

      • a hemm…I KNEW you were going to get all technical on me. This is the Lighten Up page, so I’ll continue amuzing myself I guess. 🙂

      • Dale A. Albrecht says:

Just because Hillary has been involved for over 30 years in “elite” politics, does not in anyway mean that she has done anything of any substance or with good judgement. Her record stands in directly contrast to her words. She is a “Legend in her own mind”

    • Dale A. Albrecht says:

I loved the headline and photo of Michelle and Hillary campaigning in NC. “Michelle warms to Hillary” With only 13 days to go and she only now starts liking Hillary. The photo told it all. Michelle was tight jawed and closed lips, probably wishing she was someplace else.

Michelle is there only because she knows if Hillary loses, all of Baracks legacy will be wiped out within days of the inauguration. Because only one item of his legacy actually was passed with congressional approval. All others were individual edicts because he was tired of waiting for congress to do what he wanted.

  27. Mathius asks:

“why do so many people buy into nonsense conspiracy theories*?

*Not GW, but contrails and mole people and 9/11 Truther, and Clinton.. well, Clinton everything, and Birtherism, and Sandy Hook, etc).”

Maybe because there is so much misinformation and outright lies about said conspiracy theories? When people lie, I tend to think they are trying to cover something up or just keep the truth from me. But maybe that’s just me.

I want to know why y’all are not talking about the reptilian people that live under the ocean, or the planet Nibiru that is going to destroy the Earth? Now those are some conspiracy theories! 🙂

    • You forget the “hollow” earth with the opening at the North Pole for the alien ships to exit and enter!

    • I’m still going to vote for her, but if Clinton isn’t a shape-shifting lizard person, I’m a monkey’s uncle.

Have you seen her “smile” or “laugh”? I’ve never seen anything more unnatural. It’s more likely that Black Flag writes-in a vote for Bernie Sanders than that she’s not wearing a “human suit” under her pantsuits.

      • You amaze me!

        • Thank you?

          • Not something to be terribly proud of. Doubt you woudl emulate Goldwater going to the WH to tell the Prez to resign. Perhaps it is a problem with your generations values.

            • Perhaps it is a problem with your generations values.

Why is it always a problem with the values of my generation? My generation didn’t destroy the economy. My generation didn’t vote to give themselves massive and unsustainable freebies (while militantly resisting raising the retirement age despite increased life expectancy) which are nonetheless paid for by my generation anyway. My generation didn’t oppress women, African Americans, or gay people. My generation didn’t get into a pissing match with Russia that cost hundreds of thousands of American lives in needless proxy wars, nor did we engage in an arms race nearly wiping out humanity. We didn’t wreck the housing market. We didn’t inflate any bubbles. We didn’t get a vote on whether we should invade Iraq or Afghanistan. We didn’t ruin the public education system.

Can you remind me whose generation did all that? Cause it sure as hell wasn’t us.

Perhaps the problem with my generation is that we were born after your generation instead of before it.

Perhaps the real problem is that we don’t assert ourselves enough to override your generation.

My generation is just too busy trying to survive the mess left behind by your generation. There’s no problem with “our values.”

              • Some truth there so you decide to vote for one of the “guilty” ones? ‘Splain that to me Lucy!

              • Actually your generation is quite complicit, I think……but which generation is yours….I do not know your age….need to know that before I can say……I will swap with you…I am 68. Your turn.

              • Colonel,

How old do you THINK I am?

              • Stephen,

Thank you for getting that accent into my head.. I made my daughter watch the episode with the choclate assembly line – she thought it was hysterical – my wife thought it was boring.

Now, as to why I’m voting for the lizard person wearing a human skin suit under her pantsuit: because (A) I’m not allowed to run for president yet and (B) because I have two options for who is going to win and I, a realist, have to pick one and that choice is easy. You’ll note that MY GENERATION (myself included) skewed heavily for Bernie Sanders – it was the older folks for foisted this choice on us – and we are none too pleased about it.

        • Mathius the lizard loving globalist.

  28. Boy! I looks like those heavily left wing areas have a violence problem. Or could there be something else that correlates?

  29. This is the kind of thing that if played on the MSM could affect the outcome of an election which is tightening in the last week. Especially if it was played in the right cities.

  30. The Warren-Sanders Presidency
Elizabeth Warren is barnstorming so she can co-run the government from Capitol Hill.

Citation:TheWall Street Journal by DANIEL HENNINGER, October 27, 2016.

    ( Interesting reading and spot on…. D13 )

The useful cliché that is pounding like a bad headache through the frontal lobe of millions of voters is the one about choosing between the devil and the deep blue sea. The presidential devil vote may already be over. But choosing the deep blue sea—also known as the U.S. Senate—is very much in play. That fact may be found by scrolling down to question 11A in the most recent NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.

“Thinking more about the election for U.S. Congress, would you be more likely to vote for a Republican candidate who will be a check- and-balance to Hillary Clinton. . . or a Democratic candidate who will help Hillary Clinton and Congressional Democrats pass their agenda?”
A Republican: 53%..A Democrat: 40%. From that 13-point gap an obvious question flows: If Democrats regain control of the Senate, would you be happy with Elizabeth Warren and
Bernie Sanders as co- presidents of the United States? Ignore theSenate and voters will pay a price even bigger than a Clinton presidency.

Do not for a moment think Elizabeth Warren is barnstorming the country now only to elect Hillary Clinton. She’s getting out the vote to make sure Elizabeth Warren is in position next year to co-run the government from Capitol Hill. Elizabeth Warren knows she can run rough shoover Clinton. Sens. Warren and Sanders remember what happened in 2008. The Democratic presidential primaries that year were the historic battlegrounds for control of the Democratic Party’s direction. The Clinton machine, which had captured the party’s policy and donor apparatus, was considered unbeatable. Until a freshman Illinois senator pulled progressives together into an astonishing political force that overthrew the Clintons. That happened because progressives didn’t like what they believed theClintons represented—cynical centrism—and they don’t like it now. There is no way the left now lets the Clinton Foundation and the politics it embodies recapture control of the party.

Elizabeth Warren, the Democrats’ Madame Defarge, and Bernie Sanders, winner of 22 millennial-fueled primaries, are going to guarantee the revolution’s purity in any Clinton presidency. For starters, they have a list. Politico reported in early September that Sen. Warren and progressive policy groups such as the Roosevelt Institute are “developing a hit list of the types of people they’ll oppose what one source called ‘hell no’ appointments—in a Clinton administration.” The Warren veto over the next Treasury Secretary is well known. But any such “list” will extend to the people put in charge of the government’s powerful enforcement bureaus in the departments of Justice, Labor, Education and the regulatory agencies. The Warren wing will appoint the people who, as they did in the Obama years, tell
the rest of America what to do. Under this system, your role is to salute—or get sued by federal lawyers. It is assumed that in return for dropping his opposition to Mrs. Clinton, the Vermont socialist will become chairman of the Senatembudget committee. Days ago, Sen. Sanders tweeted that becoming budget chairman “sounds good to me.” Sen. Warren sits on the banking committee, which many people think she already runs. The Democratic chairman would be left-wing Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown.

As to Majority Leader Chuck Schumer arbitrating all this, Ms. Warren and Mr. Sanders can turn the masses against anyone they want, including Chuck Schumer’ The basis of their beliefs aside, a Clinton-Warren-Sanders government would extend and expand administrative-agency policies that have suppressed economic activity the past eight years.
One example is the EPA’s Clean Power Plan, finalized in 2015. Donald Trump got support in places like West Virginia and western Pennsylvania because of the destructive effect of the Obama “climate-change” policies on their livelihoods. Mrs. Clinton’s solution, stated in the first debate, was replacement jobs making “a half a billion more solar panels.” Most displaced
workers know this is pie in the sky, like “free” college tuition. Many voters in the Republican suburbs of battleground states such as Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Wisconsin, New Hampshire or Missouri likely think life is good for them and will remain so no matter who runs the Senate. One big news story this week—aboutm what is happening to ObamaCare—should make anyone who is complacent about their Senate vote think again.

Insurers have dropped hundreds of thousands from health plans. If a person doesn’t find a plan by Dec. 15, the federal government will assign them to a plan in a letter that includes their estimated subsidy for it. Where does this “subsidy” come from? The 1%? Of course not. One way or another, it will get pulled out of the incomes of middle-class Americans—through higher premiums on their plans, indirect taxes or forgone wage gains. In the world of Sens. Warren and Sanders, “fairness” requires Americans being pitted against each other by their own government.
No wonder 63% of them feel the country’s going in the wrong direction. A few days ago, Hillary Clinton said to a campaign rally, “I could listen to Elizabeth Warren go on all day.” Whether the country wants to remains to be seen.

  31. It is being reported that the FBI is REOPENING the investigation on HRC’s email issues. 🙂

    • They can open it until they’re blue in the face. There will never be a trial.

At the very, very worst, you might see a plea deal giving her a slap on the wrist.

“These allegations are false, and I need to go back to work for the American people.”

      *the other one

    • Here’s a conspiracy theory for y’all.

Hitlary is indicted and withdraws the day before the election. The elections are ‘postponed’ because there is no time to get another candidate. King Obama gets a 3rd term. Mass rioting and martial law ensues.

Feel free to add to the conspiracy as you wish. 🙂

      • Dale A. Albrecht says:

Is there a requirement that there be a Democratic Party candidate. There are several other choices besides Trump and Hillary.

      • “Just thinking to myself right now, we should just cancel the election and just give it to Trump,”
        Donald Trump
Talking about himself in the third person in Toledo, Ohio.
        Yesterday (10/28/16)

  32. Conspiracy theory:

Donald Trump has offered the keys and the deed to his new DC Hotel to James Comey of the FBI for services to be rendered!

  33. Dale A. Albrecht says:
  34. What if time.

What if Director Comey was blindsided by the revelations that his lead investigator’s wife was gifted half a million bucks by McCauliffe?

What if Anthony Weiner is cutting a deal?

What if Huma and Anthony were really stupid enough to keep all that shit on theiri own devices?

Maybe, just maybe, the swamp can be drained!

  35. Lighten up? Ok, let’s lighten up. Here’s Eric Trump in an In ‘n’ Out drinking with a cup given out for free water, which he has filled with lemonade.

Because he probably can’t afford to pay for lemonade. 😉

  36. Dale A. Albrecht says:

“Back to the Future”……..The EPA Commissioner definitely speaking off script.

    • Great back to coal and horseshit in the streets!

      • Dale A. Albrecht says:

These people are so smart they’re stupid. A couple good typhoid and cholera epidemics from raw sewage into the river. Outhouses, everybody burning their garbage and burying what can’t burn. The gas company was putting in a new gas line for the neighbors. You should see the dump they discovered. bottles dating well back into the 1800’s.

But think of the employment opportunities. Picking up horse shit in the streets. the agriculture boom from growing feed…..then the methane gas boom to heat with the colonels comments. But then that’s enslavement of the animals.

The greenies were successful in Maine to shut down Maine Yankee their one nuclear plant. It provided all the energy the State needed in one location, Wiscasset and had plenty left over to sell to Boston etal. It cost a ton of jobs causing a severe problem in the small community. The mayor even tried a green option of creating biofuels to handle other waste products the area generated…..and the greenies blocked that also. But what the hey,,,,blow the tops off the granite mountains and put up windmills.

I usually wide up telling people who always come up with a no win situation like the greenies when NOTHING will satisfy them, their true objective is population reduction….”Why don’t they lead the way and jump”

  37. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, the Dems are complaining about Comey….he is now an evil republican.

    • Dale A. Albrecht says:

Texas is really for Hillary by arresting a man attempting to vote wearing a “Deplorable” T-shirt and Trump hat…..

Obviously wearing/carrying campaign propaganda within the legal boundries for electioneering at a polling station.

      • Have to be equal……no one wears this stuff…..either for or against…anyone……however, you can wear a “come and take it” T shirt with a cannon on the front.

    • My understanding that Comey’s sole “republican” cred is that as a democrat, he was recommended to George Bush by Alberto Gonzales because of his honor and dedication. The “republican” credential is basically bullshit, merely a democrat serving in a republican administration.

Tomorrow you will read a 180 degree headline from a few months back.

Then: “See, Hillary has been cleared because he is a Republican”

Tomorrow: “See, the witch hunt is on against Hillary again by that Republican FBI director.”

I believe it is called cognitive dissonance.

    • Karma has come calling 🙂 The Lefty’s are going nuts over this, hypocrits.

  38. Dale A. Albrecht says:

Supreme Court rules in favor of Transgender use of any bathroom, claiming it does violate the constitution forbidding discrimination.

Portable Toilet stocks boom as millions of port-o-potty’s are placed in every parking lot and free space, so everyone can have their own personal space so they will not feel uncomfortable. All single gender designated bathrooms are ordered to be closed.

  39. Quick! those of you who use facebook, post this….

“Now, if you were an early Hillary voter, don’t you feel silly?”

  40. Love it when myths are slaughtered by people who use actual data and objective analysis.

Who was it here at SUFA that was pushing the idea that Sweden had a higher standard of living than the US???

  41. t’s been a devastating Friday for the Hillary Clinton campaign. First, the FBI re-opened the investigation into her e-mail scandal and now, Julian Assange has promised that what’s in the next batch of e-mails to be published to Wikileaks will lead to her arrest

  42. Cubs are in trouble.

Most will not notice but the one run scored tonight is on the Cubs catcher. He is sloppy at blocking the breaking ball. Several got away, two for advanced runners and one let the run get to third which scored on the single.

I say they are in trouble because they are less disciplined at the bat. And they are obviously up against real good pitching.

  43. Interesting interview on TV just now and I wish I got the guys name but he is an FBI insider. He said that ever since Comey failed to recommend indictment back in July, no one even acknowledges Comey in the hallways, will not have coffee with him, and he has a stack of almost 100 resignations on his desk that he has not acted upon. The general consensus around him is that he failed to act upon the rule of law and that his decision was because he did not want to go down in history by indicting a POTUS candidate.

But anyone want to bet that there is another set up in the works and the news media is falling for it?

    • My prediction…….”we opened the investigation again and, once again, we find no fault. This announcement two days before the election.”

I do not trust the man.

      • Dale A. Albrecht says:

He will make the investigation very narrow with only the “Weiner” emails looking for classified documents. I can not imagine there being any.

What this continually shows whether charges are brought or not….Hillary has “deplorable” judgement and decision making as to who she deals with and has as advisors.

I read, maybe here on SUFA, that Petraeus, was instructed by Hillary to use the email instead of when communicating with her. That is willful violation and has intent…..When are these guys who got destroyed by this administration say…what have I got to lose and turn states evidence instead of remaining silent.

  44. The polls are swinging towards Trump. Is it because they want to advertise that they got it right for the next election? Their marketing will suffer if they have a Brexit style miss on election day.

  45. And now this……….CALIFORNIA…..really, ya’ll have nothing better to do than to measure “cattle flatulence”? COW FARTS?

The media, CNN, was interviewing a 26 year old Master’s Graduate from Berkley, California. Who was ranting that we had better get serious about green house gasses….and that greenhouse gasses and ozone issues are not solely the emission of carbon dioxides. Cattle flatulence in California is a greater threat than carbon dioxide. Cow farts……and she managed to get a grant from Berkley to measure cow farts. (Please, do not ask me how..I can let my imagination run wild on this one).

She went on to say that “cattle flatulence” the world over is a greater threat than nuclear war. (Sorry, I am trying to get my head around this with out blowing a fresh DP through the nose).

Now to analyze her story, from a Colonel’s point of view……shooting cow shit at the enemy will have a greater effect. My next comment would be, like nuclear fallout, it seems to me that there would be methane fallout from massive “splats O’ cow shit”…….

Perhaps she should come to Texas….and we will show her how to take mounds and mounds of cow poop and extract methane gas from it, use it for energy, and use the refuse for fertilizer. The only issue that we cannot help the lass with…….keeping cattle from farting. We burn dried cow chips all the time on campfires….and the feedlots take mounds of cow poop and deliver it to companies that extract the methane gas from it and power whole towns greater than hundreds of acres of wind turbines. The cost of extracting is 67% offset by selling the refuse as fertilizer. But what the hell……what do we know.

    • Gives new meaning to an MS degree.

    • Part of the “ban meat” movement. I’m warning you now, this thing is growing and will come at you from a bunch of different directions.

      For instance:

Pollution in North Carolina’s water supply from pig farm run-off. (three years running now)

      Inhumane slaughtering.

      inhumane breeding

inhumane conditions in feed lots and poultry farms

Inefficient production of food, animals eat feed that could be used for people.

      Rodeo’s and circuses banned locally.

      Lastly, Animals have “rights”.

If you doubt me, did you, in your wildest imagination, ever think animals would be removed from circus acts? Ringling took out elephants and are considering removing big cats.

      • Dale A. Albrecht says:

Pork is KING here, just like beef is in Texas….no way will it ever be banned. The one thing though, the big hog farms do produce a lot or waste similar to a small city. They just go into cesspits. Get some flooding and they overflow and into the rivers. What will happen first is a requirement that a sewage treatment plant is built…..In ’99 when we had 3 hurricanes in the span of a week, one doubled back and the flooding was huge in the areas that were hit with Matthew. Matthew was tiny by comparison with the flooding. Environmentalist said it would be years before the rivers and thusly fishing and shellfishing would be safe again from the pig farm runoff. There was so much water it flushed everything so clean everything was open and safe the next season. The waste is distributed into the fields, swamps and forests and fertilize them…”chem lawn” had a dry spell for awhile…no need to fertilize.

Even though I live 1/2 block from the rivers we have not had flooding. We sit 13 ft above sealevel and the highest its been has been 10 ft. Flood insurance based on 100 year data is not required and the insurance companies are revising policies to handle the disasterous ocean rising caused by climate change and we are still good for another 100 years….no changes to policies.

  46. Am really starting to feel this is an Anthony Weiner move to cut a plea deal. No love lost between he and the Clintons not to mention Huma.

  47. d13thecolonel

“Dont you actually have to be convicted to be pardoned?” You would think so but the answer is NO!

Remember, Nixon was never charged with anything but was pardoned by Ford.

I think if Clinton loses then all bets are off. But if she wins Obama could well end the whole “vast right wing conspiracy” with a Pardon. The only thing that will stop him is if he feels it will tarnish his legacy.

  48. Dale A. Albrecht says:

So Comey was warned by Lynch to not send a letter to Congress about the reopened investigation. Lynch claims a long standing policy of the DOJ to not do anything to influence elections. The long standing policy came from a MEMO written by Eric Holder 4 years ago……..What was then the decision to not indict Hillary after Comey did lay out a case for indictment. So they’d keep secret criminal activity of a possible future president and also those that she’d bring with her as staff…That is a total dis-service to the American people and the oaths they took to uphold the law and the constitution. Comey killed what ever influence and respect he had with the FBI. He knows that, he’s done anyway so why not ignore the POLITICAL appointees. He should have recommended indictment, As Joe from Dragnet used to say…”Just the facts maam.” and let Lynch and Obama skewer themselves for political reasons for all to see.

Then Hillary is shocked and confused by the recent announcement by Comey……she should be counting her lucky stars that her campaign didn’t end in July.

A canvaser for Hillary came by today. An older lady. She hit the owner of the B&B 1st with a nod indicated that I’d be next. The neighbor sent her packing and obviously he told her to not bother with me, I feel even more strongly against Hilllary.

    • The reason Comey gave Hillary a pass is because the corruption is endemic. Everyone is involved, The President, the Cabinet and ranking members of Congress. There is no way to limit the damage if Hillary goes to trial. Now he may be faced with the fact that Weiner may have even more evidence and no qualms about going public. So in this situation, it is politically safer to go public first.

      • Dale A. Albrecht says:

The involvement from top to bottom there is no doubt. Even the conversation with the Colonel this morning…..Why when the Generals got hammered by the DOJ and destroyed, they remain silent when in the news Petraeous indicated thathe was intructed by Hillary to use her private account….he said pensions preserved.

Comey did such a blatant POLITICAL act so to appear neutral, after laying out the case for indictment….he destroyed any credibility for the law and an agency he obviously cares for. He may just be trying to balance the scales.

The way Hillary acted today is just like my stepson….also divorced with his mom. he and a friend burned down our barn many years ago. Took out also quite a bit of old spruce trees in the forest. Luckily the the FD was right there and got it out. The arson investigators confirmed it was arson, the tracks led away from the barn and the investigation stalled. Except neighbors saw who did it. They reported to me and left it to me to resolve but they were scared to have this kid around. A few years later while he was in the Army and we were visiting Mainz he confessed to his Mother about the arson. She said he couldn’t possibly have done it because it was arsonists….I looked at her with a stunned look and said, what do you think an arsonist is?. Then the kid said, I guess it was OK because Mom doesn’t believe me…..I told him flat out that I knew from witnesses from day one he did it, but that if I didn’t handle it right my marriage was kaput. It was all over. Hillary is the same…..she feels that she was cleared of any wrongdoing because she was not charged for political reasons that she is safe forever more. She was not cleared nor exonorated….If she survives the election and wins this will be a Nixon redux. She will be toast and be forced to resign, the FBI has been discredited big time and they will keep going to get the bitch until the fat lady sings.

I’d rather a good house cleaning than to continue with the status quo and the blatant corruption and the “for sale” sign out in DC. We had a pretty destructive civil war and we came back stronger than ever. Not smoothly but became a world power. That has been pissed away in more ways than Hillary’s or Obama’s actions, they just compounded the losses.

FYI…this applies equally to the establishment GOP as well. I’d start with McCain and Graham 1st, then work down.

  49. Dale A. Albrecht says:

T-Ray…it appears that you might have to start taking some serious life extending medication. 108 more years is a long time for another World Series appearance. But then I’ll bet they get all the channels up in heaven, in HD with surround sound. Used to play ball way back in time, (47 years ago) with Pete LaCock.

  50. The story of the Golfer and the Frog….

A man takes the day off from work and decides to go play a round of golf.mHe is on the second hole when he notices a frog sitting next to the green. He thinks nothing of it and is about to shoot when he hears: “Ribbit…9 iron.”

The man looks around and doesn’t see anyone. Again, he hears: “Ribbit 9 iron.”

He looks at the frog and decides to prove the frog wrong, puts the club away, and grabs a 9 iron. Boom! He hits it 10 inches from the cup. He is shocked. He says to the frog, ‘Wow that’s amazing. You must be a lucky frog, eh?” The frog replies: “Ribbit….luck frog.”

The man decides to take the frog with him to the next hole.

“What do you think frog?” “Ribbit….. 3 wood.”

The guy takes out a 3 wood and, boom! Hole in one. The man is befuddled and doesn’t know what to say. By the end of the day, the man golfed the best round of golf in his life and asks the frog…..”OK where to next?” “Ribbit…..Las Vegas.”

They go to Las Vegas and the guy says, ‘OK frog, now what?’ “Ribbit……roulette.”

Upon approaching the roulette table, the man asks, ‘What do you think I should bet?’
    The frog replies……..’Ribbit, $3,000 … black 6.’

Now, this is a million-to-one shot to win, but after the golf game the man figures what the heck. Boom! Tons of cash comes sliding back across the table. The man takes his winnings and buys the best room in the hotel. He sits the frog down and says, ‘Frog, I don’t know how to repay you. You’ve won me all this money and I am forever grateful.’

    The frog replies: “Ribbit……..Kiss Me.”

The man figures, why not, since after all the frog did for him, he deserves it.

With a kiss, the frog turns into a gorgeous 18-year-old girl.
And that, your honor, is how that girl ended up in my room, so help me God … or my name is not William Jefferson Clinton.’

  51. Dale A. Albrecht says:

Taken from the entire Huffpo article below about Comey

“But work at a weird hedge fund wasn’t disqualifying in an administration that had long made clear it was not interested in prosecuting financial crime. The Obama administration has settled billions of dollars in cases against big banks for everything from rigging energy markets to illegally foreclosing on homeowners, but top executives have avoided prosecution. Even when banks themselves pleaded guilty to felony tax evasion and interest-rate-rigging, the Obama administration declined to prosecute the actual bankers involved.”

The choice bits are about how he interceded about the surveillance on the people that Gonzales was trying to get Ashcroft to sign off on, yet Comey’s rewriting was stronger and enhanced under the Obama administration.

  52. A few what if scenarios…

What if HRC decides to quit in the next week. Does the DNC then go with the light weight Kaine? She is already on the ballot and people are voting. Are electors locked in to vote for her or will they be freed up to vote for anyone. If free would there be an effort to but Biden in the WH or Warren?

If HRC voters abandon her for Johnson and he picks up even few votes, it goes into the House. Now the never Trumpers have a dilemma. They must pick from the EC’s top 3.
If she wins and then is indicted before Jan 20, does she then resign and Kaine takes the oath?

If she takes the oath, can she survive impeachment and if so will she be a crippled president? Will she be denied a security clearance?
Will Obama pardon her thus making it obvious to all the fix is in?

While this is all going on, what will China, Russia, and Iran be doing?
What will the stock market do?
There is enough material her for 6 Tom Clancy novels.

    • If free would there be an effort to but Biden in the WH or Warren?

The time limits to get anyone else on the ballot have past.

On the conspiracy theory side of things, Obama will sign an EO and declare the elections cancelled due to Russian involvement. Unfortunately for him, the States ignore his nonsense and Trump is elected by a landslide, which was predicted months ago. See above CT’s for the rest of the story 😀

  53. Lighten Up

  54. Dale A. Albrecht says:

Wouldn’t it be interesting if Obama does something incredibly stupid and fires Comey this week. The firestorm that broke out when Nixon fired the special prosecuters just added gasoline to his own funeral pyre…..I think Obama and Lynch are just dumb enough to do it.

Megan Kelly, I just do not get. She felt “as a lawyer” that Comey made the right decision in July to not seek and indictment, because Hillary had no “intent”… lawyer speak is that…the whole computer setup was with intent, it just didn’t appear in her basement and she use it for years with 18 devices and lie over and over to Congress and investigators, That would land any normal person in prison in a heartbeat.

    • What I do not understand……why is everyone ignoring that it DOES NOT TAKE INTENT to be guilty of misuse of classified information, which is a felony…….it states plainly……..IT DOES NOT TAKE INTENT.

  55. Dale A. Albrecht says:

“A great civilization is not conquered from without until it has destroyed itself from within.”
    Will Durant, historian.

  56. Andnow you have ABEDIN saying…” I do not know how those emails got on my computer”

and the left is buying this.

    • Unless they do find a video of Trump doing something really awful, they have lost. They are now setting up the Gore-Bush thing all over again about how Trump will be ILLEGITIMATE since he suborned the FBI Director, their FBI Director.

    • Dale A. Albrecht says:

You upon entering your email, hit “Receive” and presto they’re there.

  57. d13thecolonel

You asked me: “So you see a sudden and wide swath of the cutting blade?”

I think the highest probability is “nothing new regarding Clinton and the emails as it relates to her personally violating law”. “We stand by our original findings”.

I think it possible that even given that, there will be someone who falls if the emails are “new” and can be used to undermine prior immunity or promises. Given the internal situation at FBI this is more likely today that in July or August. And IF, the FBI can find a way to reopen the cases against her minions then YES, the mower will take a wide swath. I think they would love to nail Aberdeen and Mills. But it won’t touch Mrs. Clinton.

I also think that between the Wikileaks and the Videos of Dem leaders conspiring to undermine open elections has created a situation where if given a weak link the FBI might go after some of Clinton’s people on election law violations.

    • If Comey does not give her more immunity, he is toast if she wins…..she is a calculating bitch and will take revenge….and I mean to use the term revenge.

  58. For those hoping an October surprise against Clinton. Sorry, but the partisanship is just way to strong.

And yes Mathius, your generation’s VALUES are suspect at best. It is your generation that is giving this person the lead despite all her failures and violations of the public trust.

  59. Not one to often criticize refereeing but the Seahawks are getting worked over by the zebras……BADLY.

    11 penalties to ONE????? Really????????

    • I was thinking the same thing while watching the Texas/Baylor game…the referee’s are also not refereeing any longer….the sports casters dubbed the game….” the under review game”….they put out the stats that the refs reviwed almost 40 % of the plays…….SERIOUSLY….40%.

  60. On cow farts, has anyone ever checked to see if buffalo farts are any better, and if they’re not, does the white man get some kind of environmental credit for exterminating so many of them?

  61. One federal law, Title 18. Section 2071 says it all and the use of intent does NOT NOT NOT mean intent to give it to an enemy or someone else…..the use and definition of the word intent in this law pertains to the conscious decision to by pass the classified security regulations. When you have another server….you are intending to do this…and this is what the definition in this law means. There is no “left” spin or no “right” spin. Here is the law verbatim.

““(a) Whoever willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys, or attempts to do so, or, with intent to do so takes and carries away any record, proceeding, map, book, paper, document, or other thing, filed or deposited with any clerk or officer of any court of the United States, or in any public office, or with any judicial or public officer of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
    (b) Whoever, having the custody of any such record, proceeding, map, book, document, paper, or other thing, willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies, or destroys the same, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both; and shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States. As used in this subsection, the term “office” does not include the office held by any person as a retired officer of the Armed Forces of the United States.”

What else needs to be said….other than Comey and Lynch using the “selective enforcement” ruse…what else needs to be said. It is none other than corrupt…..period. Show me where Trump has done something equal to this.

  62. Leave it to Texas to create further controversy……early voting. A truck driver….18 wheeler in Tarrant County…..wanting to vote early, parks his rig 250 ft from the voting place in a legal parking space…The Liberals and the Democrats are screaming about his antics. The flat bed trailer he was pulling was loaded with caskets and cement burial vaults for local delivery….drapped over the back of his load was a sheet that read……” Democrats showing up to vote”……..whooooooeeeee…..there are some pissed off democrats.

  63. Dale A. Albrecht says:

Abedin was perpetually at Clinton’s side at the State Department, a gatekeeper and adviser to the nation’s top diplomat. Clinton’s team defended her unusual employment arrangement at the time, in which Abedin was paid by the Clinton Foundation, a consulting firm called Teneo and the State Department all at once.

Can someone tell me how this was allowed? I know…anything the Clinton’s want they get.

This is right off my at&t homepage….not alt media

  64. Cubs are ahead. Fingers and toes crossed.

  65. It took long enough!

Republicans finally call Reid out as “a hack” and “an embarrassment”. One noted that he would have to be “on something” to send the memo to Comey that he did.

For those not following along, Reid sent a memo to Comey stating that his office’s review of the situation has concluded that Comey violated the Hatch Act.

Also today, Reid is claiming the FBI is sitting on intell. proving a Trump/Russia connection. As another Senator said, “he can’t leave fast enough.”

  66. Washington D.C. attorney Joe DiGenova said on The David Webb Show on SiriusXM Friday night that despite the FBI agreeing to destroy the laptops of Clinton aide Cheryl Mills and ex-campaign staffer Heather Samuelson as part of immunity deals made during the initial investigation of Clinton’s email server, agents involved in the case refused to destroy the laptops.

“According to the agreement reached with the attorneys who handed over their laptops, the laptops were to be destroyed per the agreement after the testimony was given –the interviews were given – – by the attorneys. The bureau and the department agreed to that,” DiGenova said. “However the laptops contrary to published reports were not destroyed and the reason is the agents who are tasked with destroying them refused to do so. And by the way the laptops are at the FBI for inspection by Congress or federal courts.”

DiGenova said the laptops have already been subpoenaed and the FBI is waiting for Congress to ask for them.

  67. Dale A. Albrecht says:

My neighbor explained to me yesterday why he has such a dislike for HRC. His Father worked in the WH prior to the Clinton’s arrival and knew first hand the people in the Travel Office. The 1st people to experience HRC’s way of doing business upon their entry into the halls of power and the lengths they’d go to, to enhance their friends wealth.

  68. Out of all of this… thing stands out. Take the hatred between Dems and Repubs out….set it aside. The real victim in all of this is how our country has become so much like Europe and the third world. Everything and everybody is on the take. Our system is rigged…Trump is right about that.

The one good thing that I hope is coming out of all of this regardless of who “wins”….Trump has managed to expose the Republican party and how corrupt it has become. We hear the rumors and we know that there are things that go on….but this year, I have witnessed, personally, the fraudulent voting and it is not a one percent issue. It is much greater than that. Since I have become politically involved because I have some time, I have been able to dig behind the scenes some. Since I am directly involved in military budgets, I have seen the
corruption of how budgets are run in Washington.

And worse….in business, it is a shame when one has to set business to “play the game”…..or you will lose everything you have. I have come to the conclusion that all subsidies….and I mean ALL of them…need to be trashed. Housing, food, energy, farm, railroads, mass transit…..all of them.

***special note to Mathiu: Beware, DPM has composite cannon balls now.

  69. Here is a question for anyone…….Mush ado was made about trump’s statement, or lack thereof, when asked if he would accept the election results. He did not say yes and he did not say no….he said, we shall see…..

So…what if Clinton does lose the election by a narrow margin….how many think SHE will accept the outcome?

  71. Dale A. Albrecht says:

Amazing how former AG Holder and others have the nerve to critize Comey for his breach of policy on the reopening if the email investigation. Especially from one who should have been convicted of purgery (sp) a long time ago.

Nobody can convince me that the non-indictment orders came from above in the DOJ and WH and were absolutely politically motivated

  73. Dale A. Albrecht says:

George Stephanopolus asks in an interview “Is this scandal about Clinton’s email worse than Watergate” What an absolutely dumbass question. And this coming from someone who worked in the Clinton WH… gullible can the people in the US become to even put Watergate into the same league as Clinton’s law breaking and corruption. Nixon wasn’t even “Single A” ball by comparison.
