Discredited At Every Turn

The Liberal media and the DC Swamp Donkey’s are basically waging war against the Trump Presidency.   Since the meltdown of November 9th, we can expect these things to continue to get worse as time goes on.   So far, the Chicken Little screams of the “Sky is falling” have been discredited at every turn.  The Democrats have nothing.  No message, no morals, no ethics and no sense.  They no longer control the message.  The far left and the DC Swamp Donkey’s are doing a great dis-service to the average Liberal Democrat.  Shameful!

  3. Dale A. Albrecht says:

Earlier this evening I logged onto the internet and there was this photo with the headlines of Mt Etna in Sicily erupting again since ….blah blah blah…..the photo showed the volcano in a great distance spewing its lava with a single river flowing down the peak. The foreground of the photo clearly was the ocean and a huge front of molten lava flowing into it…….The media will never learn……FAKED photo. Yes the volcano is experiencing a minor-moderate eruption, but to have reached the sea in a couple days this would have been a mega disaster, cutting the Autostrada, rail lines destroying untold villages on the slope coming down, but even along the shore. Fontanarossa airport was not even closed. If the eruption is “Bad” usually the airport is shut down due to the grit and ash in the air and it destroys jet engines.

The distance from the vent to the sea is at least 30-40 miles. The military would have been bombing channels diverting flows, much less to fill other depressions only to overflow takes TIME……to do what the image showed would have been an eruption on the scale of Pompeii…….that would make major global headlines.

    • Dale A. Albrecht says:

I verified my suspicions about the fake photo last night by contacting friends from Sicily. There is a minor eruption going on, as normal. The lava is contained up in the higher elevations in valleys and bowls formed in previous millenia……there is always risk to villages on the slopes if one of the cauldrons come close to overflowing. When I lived there from my front porch I’d watch Navy A6’s fly into the smoke and ash and bomb new channels directing the flow away from any village at risk, or directing the flow INTO a valley that had no exit. Back in those days you could go up the volcano during an eruption and get pretty close. They’d keep you away from where it was spewing out, explosively, but a little further down was OK. You’d get within a few feet of the flow…..I’m sure the EU has blocked any such activity because of the risk of anyone hurting themselves by taking such a stupid chance, I will emphasize STUPID…damn it was hot…..but whatever. The last time I was there in a gorge called ‘Gola Alcantera” You can not wade up the creek, only a small area allowed to dabble your feet in the water and there are rescue teams all garbed up and safety lines like a spider web. Totally ruined the grandeur of the of the site.

I’d have thought that Congress would have had a whole passle of bills saved up for Trump to sign. Passed/or just at passing stage in Congress, but not submitted to Obama for signature, knowing he’d veto them………has anything of any meat been sent to Trump or has all the rhetoric over the past years been all window-dressing? I know the answer, it ties to Anita’s last comment

    • gmanfortruth says:

You and Anita are heading into my world now. 🙂

For those of us who follow the relevant conspiracy theories, what Anita posted is well known. The was a book released a couple years back, supposedly by an actual House member, who went by Representative X. In the book, the only job those in Congress have is to play the game, vote how they are told, and get re-elected. The media is all part of the game, hence, when you hear Senator X will vote with the opposite party, it’s strictly to get re-elected.

This all falls in line with what I have been saying about the Republican House being useless and a complete failure since 2014. It is also why I complained that the Republicans have consistently changed their tune on Obamacare, from repeal, to repeal and replace, to what is now, repair and rename.

Trump is an outsider and a threat, a big threat. Welcome to the Civil War, Part II. Let’s hope it stays mostly bloodless, but I’m not counting on that.

  6. gmanfortruth says:

The whole Jeff Sessions has been bugging me all day, not because of what is claimed by the Left, but the fact that it doesn’t appear anybody can understand the English language, including FOX News. I’m going to post a video of the question Sen. Franken asked, including the lead up to the actual question and then the answer, including the lead up to that answer. With that said, this is the actual question, as asked by Franken:

If there is any evidence that anyone affiliated with the Trump campaign communicated with the Russian government in the course of this campaign, what will you do?

Answer: I’m unable to comment on it.

Please watch closely, Franken is not implying that Sessions did anything wrong, he is “hee hawing” about a newly released fake news story from CNN. Sessions stated he had no contact with Russians concerning the campaign, which had NOTHING to do with the answer to the question. The question, what would you do as AG if this is true was the question, not if Sessions spoke with the Russians. See for yourself.

    • The Repubs need one of two things, 1) their own J. Edgar Hoover, or 2) learn how to play whack a mole.

    • Where were the calls for the investigation of the tarmac meeting of Lynch and Clinton?

      • Dale A. Albrecht says:

Stephen….I’ll be cynical here, as long as they are all casting sticks and stones at each other, they’re not putting together more laws to hobble the people and take away more rights.

Let Trump do EO’s and let Congress overturn them if they wish. Like take away the windfarm subsidies which Congress always folded on when Obama threatened a veto. rein in the NSA and mandate that a warrant is required on gathering communications of any sort on US citizens.

I see that the UN/Paris climate researchers are going after SMALL bodies of water now as major polluters of methane gas. So fill in all the marshland and estuaries that produce megatons of food and save the planet by starving the people. They’ve been after reservoirs for the same reason for some time now that also generate power…..Bottom line the climate folks are totally against industrialization which has provided the means to support as many people in this world as it does. Has nothing what so ever to do with communism vs capitalism though it may seem to be, control “YES”…….just let one or two of the major pandemic diseases loose and we’ll have population reduction quickly, that is the end goal.

        • I keep telling people to read Keith Mano’s old “the Bridge” SF novella. The goal is to ELIMINATE humans. We know about self hating Jews, self hating Christians, self hating white people, self hating rich people but there is a class beyond that, the next level, Self Hating humans.

          • Dale A. Albrecht says:

But NONE of them have the guts to step off….they keep telling others to go first.

  8. I think what argues strongly against Russian involvement is the fact that had it been the Russians the finger would have pointed at somebody else, deliberately. Probably Germany maybe China.

Russia has been a master of intrigue for decades if not centuries. What McCain, Schumer, Pelosi and Graham do not seem to get is RUSSIANS ARE NOT STUPID.

If in fact they are sharp enough to meddle, who out there does not think them capable of producing a “smoking gun” memo from Podesta quoting or referencing something damaging Hillary wrote/said to him?

I have a lot more faith in the old KGB holdovers than that. Historically they have traditionally outfoxed us time and time again.

    • I agree and that is essentially what McAfee said. So far all we have heard are allegations, no hard evidence nor any evidence that they had an impact on the election. Local election fraud is a bigger issue.

    • Been trying to tell ya’ll…….cold war is back.

      • Kinda interesting partners these days, the old anti-war left and the industrialist/lobbyist/professional politician class.

Was listening last night to quotes from a couple of dems like Shaheen up in NH. “We are in a state of War with Russia”. Jesus H. Christ! That dumb assed puke and her cohorts are gonna bring down Armageddon on us all!

      • I still see China as the bigger long term threat.

      • Dale A. Albrecht says:

I agree. The spooks have dreamed for this day, because dealing with the Russians or Chinese is a master game of chess but with sane opponants. With the M/E the spymasters haven’t a clue on how to deal with groups like ISIS and Al Queda. What I find so incredible, is that as EVIL and radical as Iran was portrayed, they in their zealousness have not gone back through their history and DESTROYED anything and everything pre-dating Islam……just think of the destruction ISIS would do if they got their hands on Istanbul and the Hagia Sophia. We should be teaming with Russia and China to STAMP out ruthlessly this scourge and truly evil organization by all measures of societies. China will definitely NOT play nice with the Ughars (sp)….let’s think conpiracy theory now….could the newest ISIS threat to China be a deliberate ruse to distract them away from the south china seas?

        • I guess that means we are gonna have tons of Ughars descending on us!

          • Dale A. Albrecht says:

For sure if HRC had been elected…..Remember those that were captured and held at Quantanamo. Obama let them go even though they were wanted in China and sent to a 3rd party country. Reasoning for Obama if they were returned to China, they’d be DEAD terrorists..

  9. A Paradox from Ben Stein:

“Fathom the hypocrisy of the government to require every citizen to prove that they are insured…..but not everyone has to prove that they are a citizen.” Now, add this, ” Many of those that refuse, or unable, to prove that they are citizens will receive free insurance that is paid for by those that who are forced to buy insurance because they are citizens.”

Burma Shave could not have said it better.

  10. gmanfortruth says:

The budget plan sent from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to EPA leadership calls for eliminating dozens of programs, including at least 16 that have to do with global warming and implementing former President Barack Obama’s climate agenda.

OMB also requested a 30 percent cut in grants to states and a 20 percent reduction in EPA’s workforce through buy-outs and layoffs. In total, President Donald Trump is calling for a roughly 25 percent cut to EPA’s budget — about $2 billion.

The cuts are laid out in a letter sent by William Becker, the executive director of the National Association of Clean Air Agencies (NACAA), to his group’s member state and local regulators. Becker said NACAA received the “pass back” budget information sent from OMG to EPA Monday, according to InsideEPA.

Here are all the programs NACAA said OMB wants “zeroed out”:

    Alaska Native Villages

    Beach and Fish programs

    Brownfield projects

    Clean Power Plan implementation

Climate Voluntary partnership programs‹there are 14 separate ones

    Diesel Emissions Reduction Act

    Endocrine grants

    Energy star grants

    Environmental education

    Environmental justice

Geographical programs for lake [Champlain], L.I. Sound, S.F. Bay and South Florida

    Global Change Research

    Mexico Border grants

    Multi-purpose grants

    Office of Public Engagement

    Star Research grants

    Small minority businesses

    State indoor radon

    Targeted air shed grants

    U.S. Mexico Border

  11. And now this from MEXICO……..you remember the country that said that they would not help or support Trump’s wall……

Cem.ex S.A.B de CV (CX)……a wholly owned Mexican cement company…….is the first bidder on providing cement for Trump’s wall…..they hate us so much.

By the way……to give some of you some researching……take a look at who owns the company. No, it is not Soros, nor Koch Bros,, not any American or European. No, it is not China nor Russia……..

IT is wholly 100% Mexican ownership by……………………………………………****the suspense builds****.

  12. Now, we all know Clinton’s emails were the end of the world, so how do we feel about Mr. Pence using his personal email account (which was hacked!) for official government business (including Homeland Security issues)?

Of course, the real crime here is that anyone still uses an AOL account.

    • Just A Citizen says:

I will defer until I know more about the actual legal restrictions on the Governor. And exactly what the “Homeland Security issues” are that were discussed.

Remember, Clinton’s problem was a direct violation of the law. Federal Govt. Records. Those laws apply to FEDERAL employees.

    • Just A Citizen says:

Good grief man, did you read the link yourself?

“Indiana law does not prohibit public officials from using personal email accounts, although the law is generally interpreted to mean that official business conducted on private email must be retained for public record purposes.”

His AOL emails involving Govt. business were turned over to the State records keepers.

Just more political garbage Mathius. More garbage. Fallacy of False Equivalency bordering on Strawman.

    • Mathius…..you are correct…….on AOL.

The second issue is USA Today….but even given that…..we are back to him being governor….and even at that, all his records were kept and turned over to State archives. As far as I can tell there is no law that prohibits him from using anything…..Nope….just smoke screen.

How are you this day, sir?

    • Personal e-mail account and personal server are still two very different things.

  13. There is a very simple way to stop the email scandals and solve Obamacare in 24 hours.

    1) Make all Senators, House of representatives, Cabinet members, secretaries and interns immediately turn over their email accounts.

    2) Disallow the Obamacare exemption for all Federal Employees, Senators, House of Representatives, and all other obamacare exemptions to the SEIU, Teamsters, AFLCIO….all labor unions.

Both problems would be solved within 24 hours if not sooner.

    • Uh oh……does this thought banish me to the re-education camp?

    • Just A Citizen says:

Curious what you think the exemption is for Federal employees.

      • Sorry…should be more explicit……Federal Employees is all encompassing….I should have said POTUS VP and all congress and congressional staff……

I used the term exemption to mean being treated differently than the rest. They are not exempt from Obamacare but, through rule making, do not have to go through the exchanges.

        • By not having to go through the exchanges, this makes them, in my mind exempt.

        • Just A Citizen says:

But nobody who has their own insurance has to go through the exchanges. Whether self provided or by an employer.

          • Agreed…they did not have their own insurance.

During the 2010 debate over the Affordable Care Act, Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, proposed an amendment requiring members of Congress and their staffs to purchase health insurance though state exchanges. Democrats, viewing the amendment as a political stunt, co-opted the idea as their own and inserted it into the bill.

But the provision was silent about who would pay for that insurance, or how those payments would be treated. The exchanges were intended for uninsured people who couldn’t get health insurance through their employer or qualify for Medicaid. Those who had access to health benefits meeting minimum coverage levels could still purchase insurance on the exchanges — but without a subsidy and using after-tax income.

Holding members of Congress and their staffs to that standard would have the effect of stripping them of the employer-paid health coverage they currently get, which is the same as any other federal employee. So the Office of Personnel Management issued a proposed rule in August making clear that the government would continue to pay the employer contribution for congressional health benefits at the same rate as if members were still on the federal plan. And the rule says for members and any staff who do go to the exchange, they do get to take a big fat taxpayer-funded subsidy with them — a subsidy that’s completely unavailable to any other American at that income level going into the exchange.”

This is why I think this article is BS Fake news by the Times:

the Times states that nearly all of the information “remains secret, making an independent public assessment of the competing Obama and Trump administration claims impossible.”

No leaks huh? Ok, if you guys say so…….

    • Dale A. Albrecht says:

What should be completely discounted every time is some article that has words in it that say “as related by a person who is NOT authorized to speak” or “by an annonymous source” If it’s so important to leak or release information that does potential harm to a person or entity, be gutsy enough to take the hit back. Not hide behind the press and their protection. If it’s true fine, if it’s a hatchet job be prepared for the consequence…….example the hatchet job meant to destroy Cheney by getting at Scooter Libby……not one consequense to the former State Dept head who then after if went on for years and cost millions admitted that he was the source. The DOJ continued the prosecution of the targeted victim and did nothing against the real guilty party even though they knew he was innocent..

A man arrested by the FBI in connection with bomb threats made against Jewish community centers across the country is an anti-Trump leftist who recently converted to Islam.

Thompson also tweeted that Trump “is Hitler” and criticized his immigration policy.

Thompson even tweeted about the threats against Jewish community centers this week, remarking, “Another week, another round of threats against Jewish ppl. In the middle of the day, you know who’s at a JCC? Kids. KIDS.”

“And ppl says Jews don’t face bigotry and violence. How would you feel if nasty white ppl destroyed MLK’s gravesite?” Thompson tweeted, while himself being behind the threats.

The left has insinuated for weeks that Donald Trump and his supporters were to blame for the bomb threats against Jewish community centers. It now turns out that a left-wing anti-Trump journalist was responsible for the threats.

The MSM’s narrative has been completely eviscerated yet again.

  16. Knew it! when 24 hours elapsed with no word, I’d have laid 100 to one odds they were illegals. Do NOT expect this to get big play anymore than the black Obama supporter sending bomb threats to Jewish Community Councils.

  19. gmanfortruth says:

Amid Thursday’s over-hyped brouhaha about Jeff Sessions meeting with the Russian ambassador, a curious detail emerged. In Sessions’s recusal memo, it was explained who at the Justice Department would be handling any investigations into the Trump campaign’s alleged ties to Russia. “Consistent with the succession order for the Department of Justice, Acting Deputy Attorney General and U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia Dana Boente shall act as and perform the functions of the Attorney General with respect to any matters from which I have recused myself to the extent they exist,” reads Sessions’s official statement on the matter.

Except that if the Obama administration had its way, Dana Boente wasn’t supposed be the U.S. attorney to handle these matters in the event that Sessions recused himself. On February 10, USA Today reported the following:

Seven days before he left office, President Obama changed the order of succession without explanation to remove Boente from the list. Obama’s order had listed U.S. attorneys in the District of Columbia, the Northern District of Illinois and the Central District of California.

That seems like awfully suspicious behavior. In fact the USA Today story noted this is pegged to the news that Trump quietly signed an executive order restoring Boente to the line of succession. The Obama administration chicanery was likely brought to White House’s attention after Obama holdover and acting Attorney General Sally Yates tried to usurp the powers of the president and countermand his immigration executive order, actions for which she was summarily fired.

    Question for D13,

Is there anything to the Russian/election stuff, or is it all conjecture and speculation?

  21. gmanfortruth says:

This puts some things into perspective.

    • It is going to be fun to see how the MSM spins all this. It would be great theater to watch Obama being perp walked. The MSM would have to eat crow bigly. This could bust loose the college records, F&F records, IRS and all the other scandals.

      • gmanfortruth says:

It will be fun. I think it is safe to say that this little tidbit of information was never intended to become public. Back in June and up until the election, Trump never stood a chance. I have no doubt they were fishing for dirt they could use politically.

There is some good news about this, it should end the Russian nonsense once and for all. If they had anything, they would have already leaked it or used it. Trump now has a weapon to use against the Swamp Donkey’s and the media.

I think this also qualifies as unprecedented. It may result in some interesting times ahead. Somebody will blow the whistle. Trump sure did put the Swamp Donkey’s on the defensive.

  23. Just A Citizen says:

This DHS report is being touted all over the place as proof Trump’s travel ban cannot be defended on the grounds of logic. Here is a summary from CNN:

“Washington (CNN)A recent Department of Homeland Security intelligence assessment found that most foreign-born violent extremists do not arrive in the US radicalized, but become radicalized after living in the US for several years.

Such findings seem to undercut the Trump administration’s case for its travel ban and track with other studies, including one by the New America Foundation, that find no clear connection with violent attacks or attempts in the US and travel from certain countries.

Now let’s take that last paragraph:

    1. Would not banning travel “from” said countries prevent these potential people from being here in the first place? Talk about a disconnect.

    2. Notice how they try to link this finding and the irrational conclusion with studies which call into question where the violent terrorist came from. Again, banning travel would prevent these people from arriving. Thus reducing the population of potential home grown or imported terrorists.

    3. Regarding the homes of past actors. It doesn’t matter where they were born. What matters is that many of them, if not most, have traveled between the countries in question. Why? Because those countries have lax security measures, including any form of vetting. Hell, it could be argued some are complicit in spreading the potential terrorist around the world. Two of the 9/11 Jihadi pilots lived in Germany the prior 5 years. But during that time traveled between several of the countries listed in the ban.

    • 1) We cannot do much about the people that are here but ones that go back to “visit” need to be vetted.
      2) Who is radicalizing the youth? Are they new immigrants?
      3) ISIS has vowed to embed jhadis with the refugees. So vetting new entrants is now more important then ever. Look at what is happening in Europe.
      4) Fundamental is incompatible with American culture and values.

I heard a new term the other day. Christophobia.

    • The bullet train commission just asked Brown to begin selling the authorized bonds for the train since they are ready to start laying track. The legislature needs to approve the details of the sale. The bonds were authorized by a vote of the people several years ago when the cost of train was half what it is today. If it came up for a vote again, it would lose resoundingly. Brown will ask for the money and then ask for tax increase to fix infrastructure. He has already asked the Feds for infrastructure money. Plus we are getting a lot of disaster relief funds to repair storm damage.

We have washouts all over the county, US50 lost 2 of 4 lanes, mudslides everywhere, levees holding but always a big concern.

The snow pack is at 180%. If we get a week of 75-80°F weather or a heavy warm rain, we will have Lake Sacramento.

  24. gmanfortruth says:
  25. gmanfortruth says:

I really don’t expect anything to come of all of this, but if it does, it helps to understand what it means if it does:

Recognizing this information did not fit FISA meant having to delete it and destroy it. According to published reports, Obama’s team did the opposite: order it preserved, ordered the NSA to search it, keep it, and share it; and then Obama’s Attorney General issued an order to allow broader sharing of information and, according to the New York Times, Obama aides acted to label the Trump information at a lower level of classification for massive-level sharing of the information. The problem for Obama is simple — if it could fit a lower level of classification, then it had to be deleted and destroyed, not disseminated and distributed, under crystal clear FISA law. Obama’s team’s admission it could be classified lower, yet taking actions to insure its broadest distribution, could even put Obama smack-middle of the biggest unlawful surveillance and political-opponent-smear campaign since Nixon. Except even Nixon didn’t use the FBI and NSA for his dirty tricks.

  26. So, according to the former resident of 1600, nobody in the WH ordered it. Well, did they know of it? Read it? Pass it along?

Those of us who had questions about the Patriot Act back when now have our smiley face moment. Think anyone out there will remember?

    • gmanfortruth says:

Legally, they can’t order it. They can suggest, request, beg, wink and other forms of coercion, like threaten or blackmail. But none of this actually matters in the big picture.

What matters is how they got a warrant and for what reasons, what info was gathered and then passed around, if any of this is true. But let us remember one really big thing…..Trump wasn’t expected to win the election and would have never known of this in any capacity to get it investigated.

I’m waiting for some whistle blowers to come forward. I think it’s inevitable.

  27. Just A Citizen says:

Something has occured to me regarding all this Russian stuff. That is that the media has misplayed the purpose of any investigations. Namely trying to insinuate there are investigations of Trump’s people. When in fact it could be the Russians the FBI is trying to catch. They just focused on the one’s talking to Trump people because they wanted to see if the Russians would spill the beans.

Why think this? Because unless the Trump people were helping Russians with criminal activity, like money laundering, what crimes could have been committed? The hacks of the DNC and Podesta were long over. All that remained was Wikileaks spilling the beans. And if Trump’s people were telling the Russians or anyone else, “hey keep it up”, that is not a crime.

Anyway, on the idea, lets look at this NY Times lead in to a story on this topic”

WASHINGTON — American law enforcement and intelligence agencies are examining intercepted communications and financial transactions as part of a broad investigation into possible links between Russian officials and associates of President-elect Donald J. Trump, including his former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, current and former senior American officials said.

See how that first sentence says what is probably true, “examining communications and financial transactions” but the second part is really the curve ball; “….into possible links between Russian officials and associates of ….. “.

Since there is no criminal action involved in Trump associates having communications with or associating with Russians, and since everyone already seems to know such connections existed, then why would the connections be the reason for the investigation?

I don’t think they are. I think they are reviewing communications and financial records as part of a broad investigation in the conduct of these Russian agents and citizens. I think it is primarily a FISHING expedition, but FISA may have approved it because some of the Russians may be under surveillance for other things.

If known agents who have been previously watched start talking to Trump people, it stands to reason FISA would allow the FBI to listen in on those “new conversations”.

It this is not what is happening then we could be about to see the whole lid blow off. Because my friends, given all the accusations by both sides in this we forget one real possibility. ALL OF THE ABOVE COULD BE TRUE.

That is that Obama’s admin was corrupt and violated the rules, Clinton was in on it, Trump and his people were doing bad things and everyone was getting paid Rubles to do it. And of course the Dark State within the intel agencies have created false accusations and leaked secret information. Wouldn’t it be something if the Press got its reputation back by exposing the Rot in the entire freakin system.

  28. Just A Citizen says:

    Another thought.

Trump’s trait of striking back hard whenever attacked is not going to serve him well in all cases. And this is one of them. It can back fire and it diverts from his agenda and allows his support to erode.

Sometimes it is better to act like the guy who gave the speech on Monday and not the idiot accusing Obama of tapping his phone on Friday. I don’t know if it is Trump alone or if this is part of Bannon’s style influence. But I thinking going Nuclear every time on every issue is TIRING and makes him look PETTY.

Better approach? From day one call on the Senate to quickly conclude an investigation into the matter. State that he has confidence in the FBI and DOJ as well as Congress to do its job of “objectively investigating the issues of email hacking and attempted influence over the election.”

Followed with, “If it turns out someone in my campaign was breaking the law they won’t be working for me any longer”.

Move on to the next agenda item………….

    • gmanfortruth says:

Interesting thoughts. Let me add, maybe Trump knows all of these answers already. The weasels that panic knowing they may be busted could provide intel into who is doing all the leaking.

I’m no longer going to assume Trump’s Tweets are just him going rogue, away from his team. This may all be well planned out, timely, and for a purpose. This will be some fun times for SUFA 🙂

      • I’m with you G. I think he has his own mole at this point. That’s where this came from. I have heard a lot of people talking about him getting distracted but he is the most consummate multi-tasker I have ever seen. I have mixed feelings on this istuff but it does seem that there is solid evidence the administration took it to a FISA court. If so, why. It also seems they wer4e rejected twice but kept it up. Got their own judge out there I guess like the 9th circuit.

One thing you have to keep in mind. One of the phrases most associated with Harry Truman and I believe was the name for a musical about him was “Give ’em hell Harry!” Demanding an investigation is a good idea. Keeps the “other guy” distracted.

        • All of this is going according to plan. Let’s make lots of accusations, call for investigations and then drag the investigations out for months with no resolution thus thwarting Trump’s agenda. Trump’s counter attack this weekend threw them a curve, but from what I have seen the Dems have been able to successfully make the claim that it is unsubstantiated. Mark Levin has put together a series of newspaper reports that strongly back the Trump. If there is anything to this, I am sure the shredders are working overtime this weekend.

The Dems are still pushing and calling for an investigation of The AG for his “lie”. It is a 5 minute investigation. Just listen to the tape. Also the 2 meetings he did have with the ambassador were in rooms full of people, they were not private meetings.

I have yet to see any evidence that the Russians had any impact on the election. Naturally I have also not heard any explanation or investigation results on the irregularities found in the Detroit recount. Trump’s demand for a voter fraud investigation is going nowhere.

  29. Just A Citizen says:

As I have said many times, it is all about the culture. And that there are two major splits on the issue of what it is to be American. Or, what America stands for. From a report on a recent poll asking those questions:

“The poll found Democrats were nearly three times as likely as Republicans to say that the U.S. should be a country made up of many cultures and values that change as new people arrive, with far more Republicans saying there should be an essential American culture that immigrants adopt.”

Needless to say, Democrats supported those values we have heard expressed by Obama, Pelosi, Clinton, etc. about multicultururism, taking in refugees, etc. as key parts of “who we are”. Republicans favored Constitutional principles as guided by Christianity, the values of western civilization as “who we are”. Both sides agree we are losing our identity.

Think about that. Both have different views and both think their view is being lost. If all that is true then what is replacing them?

  30. gmanfortruth says:

Yesterday on the “Meet the Press” James Clapper, Obama’s Director of National Intelligence, denied any agency that operated under him, including the FBI, ever wiretapped the Trump offices. “To my knowledge,” he added. [Wasn’t Clapper the same man who testified under oath that the NSA never collected phone data on millions of Americans — a fact proven untrue by the Snowden revelations?]

But the most important Clapper revelation from “Meet the Press” was this: He emphatically told Todd the Obama intelligence agencies found “no evidence” of collusion between Trump’s campaign and the Russians. Nothing. Nada. If that is true, and Trump is right he was indeed wiretapped, it will only fuel his argument that Obama administration officials improperly eavesdropped on his offices.

If the Liberal’s and their lapdog media believe Clapper when it comes to the wire tap accusations, why won’t they believe him on the Russian issue?

    • Dale A. Albrecht says:

During WJC presidency there was a huge technology transfer to China, including nuclear from a proven spy at Los Alamos, yet the FBI was thwarted at every turn by the WH.

HRC as SOC approved the selling of 20% of our nuclear assets to Russia and also.. (an out take from a WSJ article that also can be found in just about every major paper)

” Hillary Clinton touts her tenure as secretary of state as a time of hardheaded realism and “commercial diplomacy” that advanced American national and commercial interests. But her handling of a major technology transfer initiative at the heart of Washington’s effort to “reset” relations with Russia raises serious questions about her record. Far from enhancing American national interests, Mrs. Clinton’s efforts in this area may have substantially undermined U.S. national security.”

……there was also ample monetary compensation to the Clinton Foundations over all these deals from Russians with Podesta in them up to his eyeballs.

What confuses me is why the Dems are so hell bent on Trump and (non technology)business ties to Russia when HRC oversaw a huge technology strengthing of Russia with her actions as SOC. Do they in their political zealousness really want to keep beating that horse with their champions, HRC and Obama so knowingly exposed. Like who is calling the kettle black.

      • The damn game is so rigged. There is NO traction on truth at all. It is dismissed out of hand.

      • Dale A. Albrecht says:

Wouldn’t it have made more sense for the Russians to aid HRC’s election than Trumps? Her email scandal just got papered over and proved she has no respect for the law, she aided them more than Trump ever would, and one more thing glossed over the constinual weakening of the US global position by overreach and also the policy of making the US a “brown” nation with diversity as it’s core principle, while at the same time circumventing the Constitution. (The R’s are also quilty) But diversity that also looked the other way and encouraged illegal actions right from the start.

        • I think the Russians feared HRC would start a war. She was belligerent towards them on several occasions and being a weak leader more likely to pad her credentials with a war. Plus her judgement was very unsound thus making it more likely to start trouble. Libya was her doing and look how it turned out. Also they probably read all her emails and knew how unpredictable and unstable she could be. They could have used the emails to blackmail her but that would have had its own risks. Having a strong confident president who is stable and predictable is preferred over a weak unstable one.

    • gmanfortruth says:

It may be quite possible that a Civil War has begun. While mostly bloodless at the moment, this can only get worse down the road.

There is nothing to the Russian story and Liberal Lefties are using the same tactic in France, Germany and other places where elections are coming up and immigration of Muslim’s has become a major political issue, among other things, like crime.

The MSM media no longer controls the narrative. Their lies are being exposed constantly.

      • Dale A. Albrecht says:

Usually injecting a small dose of a disease (vaccination) makes the host immune to the ravages of the contagin you’re trying to overcome. The east/west conflict has been going on for millenium’s, long before there was Christians or Muslims. But today the two sides have basically settled into these two religious bases. However, the west has been so weakened by socialism and it’s enlightened thought, maybe the west’s policy is using the migrations like a vaccination? I doubt it they aren’t that smart, but it is a thought.

I know this has been shown before. The US military expenditures total more than the next ten countries military expenditures combined. Yet these countries like China and Russia on fractional budgets are producing (allegedly) hardware that can defeat our newest equipment (if it will work) Iran one of the evil axis is 22nd with expenditures like Colombia. As US centric as I am, something is wrong with this picture. Something is being totally misapplied. I’ll equate our policy to that of the old remedy of bloodletting to cure an already weakened patient. As our beloved colonel points out we no longer have the assets to quickly project power from our shores. What other nation has military based and assets in 120 other countries? NONE. We’ve worn out our naval air assets so what good is having 10 carriers when only 50% of the planes are good to go. We’ve forfeited manned space flight to other nations.

      • I do think that there is a civil war brewing……no doubt about it. BF was right about that.

  31. Checking in at Vegas…..JAC……..what the hell knd of weather do you guys have up there that you are throwing down here? 50 mph winds….snow….in Vegas? geez…..

Ok…talking to everyone here that I know…the general consensus even among union members…is not against Trump at all….it seems to be the majority is very disappointed in the Dems….the very liberal side of it and there is a real chance this midterm that Reid’s replacement will be republican.

G Man….to answer your question…did the Russians influence our election….no sir…nomore than they have done the lst 50 years. Everybody and their dog that has access to computer has probably hacked everything that we have….

As to wire taps……most likely happened.

  32. gmanfortruth says:

The second FISA request was submitted in October of 2016 just before the election. Hillary Clinton sent out a tweet on October 31st stating that ‘computer scientists have uncovered a covert server linking the Trump organization to a Russian-based server’.

  34. New term: Christophobia

    • As a guy who has flirted with agnosticism almost all my life since High School, I have become much more of a believer since I see the tempo of attacks on Christianity increase almost daily. If there is a God there is a Devil and the converse is also quite true.

My own dumb daughter fell into the “new” Christianity wherein there is no evil, no devil, no punishment and therefore no right or wrong.

There are so many things in life we say are divinely inspired, well these virulent, brutal attacks by everyone from Hollywood Pundits to fanatical Muslims (How do you like that for a tag team?) make me believe that they are inspired from the other side, by old Nick. Why else, would the horrors currently perpetrated in the ME be back burner at best and yet every negative story about Christians here make the front page, above the fold?

      • Dale A. Albrecht says:

So the “new” Christianity is to be completely amoral? No baseline where one might start having pangs of guilty?

I just wish for all the Hollywood personalities that are claiming to have been RAPED, even young boy actors, that they’d start naming names and bring that hedonistic society down a few notches lower in the rings of hell Dante never thought of. Last week “Hanoi” Jane Fonda told all the abuse as a child she suffered and also later as an adult actress…..except the names. The system brought down Cosby. Who wouldn’t have raised any eyebrows in Hollywood except he was an outspoken conservative and attracted lightning. They so eagerly took down Mel Gibson for being no more than most out there as an abuser of drugs and alcohol but lashed out at an officer with an anti-semetic tirade. Got help for his problems but no forgiveness is forthcoming from Hollywood.

When my old HS has a separate school now across the street that is a HS for kids with drug and alcoholic problems. 1/2 day in class, 1/2 day in rehab. This is the result of having everything with no responsibility or moral guidance…FYI it was no different when I attended 50 years ago….just no special schools, just a bunch of brain dead stoners…dude.

        • I do church most Sundays and while I was never a fire and brimstone kind of guy, the pap I have been hearing from the Pope (just kidding) is nothing but “God Loves You!” Been hearing that here in American Catholicism for over 30 years now.

Look, when I, who have never done drugs and rarely get drunk get up every morning, no mater how achy the bones may be, look out the window and see sun or snow or clouds or rain and marvel at the wonderfulness of it all, then NOBODY has to tell me God loves me. But, I ask, how do I repay him? The Church (es) are woefully short on that answer. How ’bout playing by the rules, especially the Golden one?

If there is a reward for living a good life, there must be punishment for not. But, we don’t want to frighten anyone now do we? Or, pardon the pun, God forbid, judge anyone.

      • Mathius says:

the “new” Christianity wherein there is no evil, no devil, no punishment and therefore no right or wrong.

Now, I don’t know your daughter, but the idea that not believing in god/devil means there is no right or wrong is, pardon my terminology, absolute fucking bullshit.

“If the only thing keeping a person decent is the expectation of divine reward, then brother, that person is a piece of shit, and I’d like to get as many of them out in the open as possible. ” – Cohle, True Detective

As an agnostic Jew, my sense of right and wrong is wholly divorced from the idea of a deity shaking his finger at me. I work on the Sabbath, I wear clothes made of different cloths. I love bacon. I see nothing wrong with homosexuality, premarital sex, or polygamy. And, no, I do not intend to stone my child to death when she is disrespectful – as I am commanded to do.

You know what I do have a problem with? Lots of things. Arbitrarily picking an example, I’ll say that it’s wrong to drag your kid to the top of a mountain with the intent to stab him to death to appease your god (and not going through with it doesn’t make it much less evil). How about forcing women to marry their rapists? Yup. Also evil. Slavery? Evil. How’s this one for an example of evil: killing the first-born sons of an entire civilization. What? That’s supposed to be a shining example of morality right there? What the hell did those kids ever do? They were kids. Nope, the all-good, all-loving, all-kind God of the ancients personally sent the angel of death to murder thousands of innocent children. Because he loves us.

Screw that. Your bronze-age texts have no more bearing on morality than a Ouija board unless you oh-so-carefully pick and choose the morals that you want to keep and which to throw away. And what do you have at that point? A Rorschach test, that’s what. You’ve given yourself a pile of “stuff” to draw your conclusions from and then you act as though it’s somehow God (all bow down before the mighty infallible One who, you know drowned nearly the entire population of the Earth that one time) himself handed down morality – perfect and pure – from the mountain on his stone tablets.

Why else, would the horrors currently perpetrated in the ME be back burner at best and yet every negative story about Christians here make the front page, above the fold?

Because you people – yes, you people – have a victimization complex the size of a planet.

This country is one baby step away from being a Christian Theocracy. Agnostics, and Muslims need not apply for the Presidency. We have blue laws, euthanasia laws, prostitution laws. Every year, I need to suffer through a month-and-a-half long Christianity-love-fest of Santas and reindeer and Jingle Bells. Hell, you have two – TWO – federal holidays for Christianity. You know how many there are for all other religions combined? I’ll give you a hint: it’s zero. All of which (and more) are basically you – yes, you – Christians shoving your theocracy down our throats. And then, at every perceived slight, you whine to the heavens about the “war on Christmas” and the “war on Christianity.” Gimme a break.

It’s not Satan splashing those stories on the headlines. It’s the fact that you people are so whoa-is-me maudlin about your persecution complex that those headlines garner clicks. And, because you represent 70-ish percent of the population, you represent a lot of clicks. And a lot of clicks equals a lot of money. Ergo capitalism is giving you what you want to hear.

        • Ya know, we used to pray in Public School. Ya know we used to listen to political sermons from the pulpit and you say :

“This country is one baby step away from being a Christian Theocracy. ”

Go back and read your history, please.

If you do not believe, that’s fine with me. As I told Charlie the other day on FB, I’m gonna do my best to send him a cold Slurpee once a year from heaven. But, put me down? Put my beliefs down?No way Jose.

Never been a literalist. the Bible shares a lot with Rod Serling’s “Twilight Zone”. It is instructive. I could sit down and explain the “meaning” of the Tower of Babel to you but I think it would be a waste. Ditto for the Story of Job and so many others. As in Catholicism, one has to look at what is “divinely Inspired” and what is not. The Pope speaks in the voice of God if you will, only on matters of Faith and Morals. If he tells me to go out and kill Jews, that is his opinion, not God’s. He may (or probably not) have a good reason and I am perfectly free to pas on the suggestion. Whacking my neighbor over the head to rape his wife, sell his kids into slavery and steal his donkey is something entirely different and I am NOT free to ignore him.

I believe in the Jewish Religion you have two sets of Commandments, the basic 10 and the 732 others. The 732 were made by man some good, some bad. Don’t eat pork when there is a good chance of trichinosis. Never could figure out the mixing of dairy and meat. Seemed more like a way to better support the domestic pottery industry. Don’t eat shellfish when it will spoil and kill you in an hour and a half pretty good idea. Not sure about marrying the rapist but I would suspect, as in modern Islam, in ancient Judea, a woman, “spoiled” in any way has no future and possibly no life. An unmarried man marrying his brothers widow is a guarantee of survival for her and her children in a pre Social Security society.

        • I thought it was Humbug !

          • Now don’t tell me that i am gonna have to get permission from the big guy to send you one ice cold Dr. pepper a year from where I hope to wind up to where you wind up.

As someone who will be leaving the country shortly and (possibly) returning thereafter, it is of some interest to me what I should do to secure my privacy. Like most people, I really don’t have anything to “hide,” but that doesn’t mean I am willing to roll over and let some rent-a-cop read all my emails or allow the government to make a full backup of all my data. In the event I ever decide I need to overthrow the government, the less they know about me, the better.

Of course, the fact that I’m white with at least 3 generations of citizenship means this is probably irrelevant, but that’s not the point.

    C) Does anyone know what happens if you sit like a brick and simply refuse to surrender / unlock your devices? Can they arrest you? Can they confiscate your device? Do they not need probable cause?

    • Look Matt, I am pretty sure the jig is up with this Trump wiretap thingee. You got NO rights anymore, pal. None, Nada. Any government apparatchik who does not like the cut of your jib or some pimply faced kid you don’t even remember dissing in sixth grade who is now a GS 11 at Homeland Security can lock you up!

Goddam it, the crazies telling us the outcome of the Patriotic Act were right. Spotted it a few years back. We’ve gone from the FBI entrapping Pizza delivery guys at Ft. Dix to wiretapping a presidential candidate.

      • Mathius says:

Did I miss a memo, or has there been any, you know, evidence that Trump was (illegally / improperly) wiretapped?

Because you’ll have to forgive me if I’m going to decline to take Trump’s word on it.

        • gmanfortruth says:

Howdy Mathius 🙂 Hope the family is healthy and happy!

We will never see the evidence, it’s all classified. It might be possible for the FISA warrant to be declassified and released, but don’t hold your breath. This will come down to what Congress decides to tell us sometime down the road.

The same lack of any evidence can also be said about the Russians. The only thing I have read is innuendo that is is “likely”. It’s March and the Swamp Donkey’s have nothing to show for on this issue. It’s nonsense and it may be to redirect from Clinton and Obama’s collusion, possibly with the Russians but certainly with the media.

THis is gonna be interesting and fun to see how all this turns out.

Howdy Mathius 🙂 Hope the family is healthy and happy!

All are well, thank you, sir. The missus and I could do with a little more sleep, but otherwise, we’re all doing well. How’s the g-man clan?

We will never see the evidence, it’s all classified.

Or… or… or it doesn’t exist and Trump pulled it out of his ass?

You’re going to have to forgive me for not accepting wild-eyed claims of conspiracy from him.

It’s also possible this was a legal and legitimate tap conducted by the FBI in response to other information they’d garnered about Russian interference with the election, no? If I’m to believe someone was listening in on Trump’s calls, I’m more inclined to believe it was the Feds on a legitimate investigation than Obama hiring his own “plumbers.”

The same lack of any evidence can also be said about the Russians.

A bunch of agencies seemed to reach the same conclusion. Is it certain? Nope.. but it’s far more credible than the alternative (that Russia wasn’t involved) at this point.

It’s March and the Swamp Donkey’s have nothing to show for on this issue.

I don’t know what you’ve been drinking this morning, but it must be pretty strong.

Sessions was caught lying under oath and, if you think that’s going to go away quietly, you need to put the bottle down.

And what about Flynn’s resignation? Is that nothing?

It’s nonsense and it may be to redirect from Clinton and Obama’s collusion, possibly with the Russians but certainly with the media.

The leaks were pounding Clinton week after week, and silent on Trump. Yet, somehow, you’ve reached the conclusion Clinton was behind this?

As for collusion with the press, you have to understand that A) the press hates Trump because he’s been an asshole to them and keeps maligning them as “fake news.” B) that same press gave Trump billions of dollars worth of free air time during the campaign. C) that same press has bent over backward to be soft on him while he openly bragged about “working the refs.”

Brother, you’ve been living in an alternate reality.

THis is gonna be interesting and fun to see how all this turns out.

Well, now. THAT I agree with.

As well as can be expected, looking forward to Spring 🙂

I doubt Trump would have Tweeted about it if he didn’t have proof. A FISA Warrant was issued and numerous people claimed there was recordings, see video below!

Sessions was NOT caught lying. Go watch the question from Franken, the Left can’t listen or read easy 4th grade English. I posted the video and explained it in detail above , March 3.

Flynn wasn’t honest with Pence, Trump asked for his resignation. Still no crime accusations about ANYTHING.

The leaks were pounding Clinton week after week, and silent on Trump. Yet, somehow, you’ve reached the conclusion Clinton was behind this? NO, that’s not what I mean. There is no evidence that Russia did the hacking, just a lot of innuendo that it was LIKELY. Likely isn’t proof and the Russians are probably smarter than that anyway.

As for collusion with the press, The email leaks proved the collusion with the MSM. The email leaks proved a lot of things that made Clinton and her team look crooked. If the hacked emails didn’t show any of this, it wouldn’t be a subject of discussion. If the emails didn’t show the crookedness, Russia would not be a subject of discussion. If the Democrats had a message, other than Trump is terrible, they could have won. They have no message, no honor and no ethics. The Swamp Donkey’s are digging their grave deeper and deeper by playing this nonsense.

Watch the video below with Coons. He either lied about having recording or Trump was tapped. The guy should either resign or be impeached for saying what he said on MSNBC or Trump has a strong case for Sedition against a lot of people.

        • Not the point my friend, Just remember, a presidential candidate in a highly contested election was wiretapped. Period! Junior was with homeland security from the beginning. Junior was a Bernie guy, he has always told me that the FISA courts will issue warrants for just about ANY cause. It sort of speaks for itself when you find out two warrants were apparently rejected before they found the “right” judge. And, how do I know that you ask. Well because the horses mouth has told me that the administration “picks” safe judges. Now whether R or D, that is a horrible idea.

Now moving right along. What was teh result of these taps? Where are the earth shaking revelations, the indictments, the arrests? By now we should have them. But, theyw ere fishing in a dry hole, nothing is there. If I have heard once today I have heard 25 times that The Flynn guy had to leave because of his conversations with the Russians. Do you remember it that way? Or, do you remember he lied to his boss?

Ditto with the AG. So, he talked to the Russian Ambassador in the course of talking to a few other ambassadors and he met with him one day after meeting with the Ukrainian Ambassador. Does that ring an alarm bell? hell no! Quite the opposite.

Now, I’ll say it again, the Obama WH denies that they (the WH) ordered any such thing. Well, that leaves out all the Ex branch folks NOT in the White House. In addition any competent underling knows what the boss wants (wink and nod) without the boss asking. Know you are too young for Watergate but Nixon did not order it, came no where even close but obviously made it very clear to Erlichman and Haldeman and Dean that he wanted “something” done.

          • “Just remember, a presidential candidate in a highly contested election was wiretapped. Period!”

            Ummm….evidence please….

    • Personally, I do not believe the articles….I travel to Mexico….never had my cell phone taken nor computer searched. I called the border agents that I know on the Mexican border and none have been told to confiscate any cell phone or search a laptop nor detain personnel for such reasons unless there is an authorized search order from a qualified court. I have passed through customs many times.

Since I am also personally involved in the issue, I have not seen any type of document described in the article that gives the broad authority purported. That said, I do not know if anythng like that exists or not…just that I have not seen anything described.

However, to answer your question, I would not turn over my laptop nor my cell phone to any agent of any agency without a duly authorized search warrant. If they tried to take it by force, I would resist….violently if necessary.

As to all the “stories” about wire tapping, Russian interference, etc….Given the current history of the Democrats…..I have to say…show me the beef. Prove the allegations of Russian influence..given the current state of our intelligence agencies and appointments prior to Trump, I would not believe one iota of anything that comes from “informed sources”…..even if 10,000 angels sitting on their shoulders said it is so…..show me the proof. A news story sayingthat 14 agencies says it is true is not credible……not in my eyes. So…..prove it.

The White House statement on “DeepStateGate” — President Donald Trump’s allegations that former President Barack Obama ordered surveillance on him during his 2016 presidential campaign — has the feel of cards and chips thumping down on the table:

The White House is placing a substantial bet on what Congress will uncover. Don’t expect those cards to be dealt swiftly because such investigations take time. The Obama administration was highly adept at stalling investigations until the Democratic media could pronounce them “old news” and ignore the outcome.

The Trump administration can distinguish itself by cooperating energetically with this one and helping it move forward quickly. Rest assured that no matter how long it takes, the media will never consider it “old news” as long as there remains any chance for anyone connected with the Trump 2016 campaign to get in trouble over contacts with the Russians.

It’s possible one reason Trump issued his explosive tweets on surveillance was to make everyone put up or shut up. That might already be working, as some of the more aggressive dealers in unsubstantiated innuendo are suddenly admitting they don’t have any actual evidence. There can’t be any hard evidence if Trump is super-duper wrong about Obama administration surveillance:

Chris Coons walkback: “I have no hard evidence of collusion” between Trump world and Russians https://t.co/hRihNiPjI8

    — Legal Insurrection (@LegInsurrection) March 5, 2017

Until now, Democrats and their media have been pleased to create the impression that all kinds of wiretapping operations were conducted against the Trump campaign, uncovering many scandalous, possibly illegal connections. Only by reading those articles carefully does one discover the sources are highly speculative and the evidence is thin at best…

Trump has basically put Democrats and the mainstream media in a position where they have to “put up or shut up.” They either have to produce evidence of wrong-doing on the part of his campaign, to which we heard Clapper and Coons admit in the videos above, there is no evidence of, or they have to admit their “anonymous sources” they have been quoting for the last months were lying, or the MSM has been lying.

The much-discussed New York Times piece from January 19 is a perfect example of this. It begins by matter-of-factly confirming the existence of the wiretaps everyone in Obamaworld is now swearing are a figment of Donald Trump’s imagination. Mountains of innuendo about connections between the Trump campaign and Russian intelligence have been spun out of what these abruptly non-existent intercepts contained, according to the anonymous leakers who currently drive almost 100 percent of mainstream media coverage.

    Re: Christophobia/Christian Nation.

Here is the issue with Christianity; It’s a grossly misinterpreted and exploited religion.

The Bible has a lot of allegorical spiritualism in it that has been misinterpreted as literal. It has also been used as a control mechanism rather than a teaching guide. (among other issues)

There is also an underlying hidden meaning within.

My head caught fire and has been spinning on occasion for few years, I had to go crazy, but I cracked it. It’s a time map. The book of revelation is happening now.

I would like to share, but I fear Christians will hunt me and kill me because there are a lot of zealot idiot Christians who will not be reasonable.

  41. gmanfortruth says:

Robert Mook, Clinton campaign manager tells FOX news that intelligence agencies told Clinton campaign that Trump people were intercepted in wire taps of Russians. This is response to HRC’s Tweet about secret Trump server. Mook just admitted collusion between Clinton camp and the intelligence community. Mook just admitted that there were multiple violations of Federal law involving these wiretaps. And even better, Mook claimed over and over that “these are the facts”.

You can’t make this stuff up. Democrats are tripping over each other and they can’t get their story straight. This is what happens when people LIE constantly, they can’t keep track of what was a lie and what is reality.

    • HRC had the full force of the press and now it seems the intelligence community behind her and plus Soros and Steyer and the women’s movement and she still lost. But yet the election was stolen from her.

  42. Interesting Gingrich point yesterday. O’Reilly did a pretty good job of deconstructing truth/fiction on the Russian involvement. At the end of the Newt interview Newt said, “We know Trump Tower was wiretapped”.

O’Reilly then said well no we don’t. Newt then said, “where do you think General Flynn was?” O’Reilly then said,” Good point, very good point, excellent, Mr. Speaker.” Sometimes the truth is hidden between the lines.

    • I wish something so simple would prove it but I don’t see how it does. They have admitted that they tap the Russians.

      • So, why the failure to release the transcripts? There is “plausible deniability” all over this stuff. Flynn would probably know about bugging the Ambassador so why talk about anything that could come back and bite him? But of course, he is fired for misrepresenting not that the media emphasize that at all.

WOW, interesting stuff, but so far nothing that isn’t known. It’s good that’s it’s been confirmed now, spying through smart phones, smart tv’s ect. Do have to question the necessity though. Why does government need all this technology to spy on people? Wire tapping on steroids.

  44. gmanfortruth says:

On January 19th and 20th 2017, The NY Times reported that wiretaps of people on the Trump team were passed along to the Obama White House, one of the story’s authors was Michael S. Schmidt. On Saturday that same Michael S. Schmidt was one of the reporters who wrote the story, “Trump, Offering No Evidence, Says Obama Tapped His Phones.” That’s right, the same NY Times reporter who was one of the sources for the President’s claim, said that there was no evidence for the claim.

Credibility? They don’t need no stinkin credibility 😀

    • Wow…just wow…talk about a serious lack of reading comprehension…geez…

From the January 20, 2017 article:

“American law enforcement and intelligence agencies are examining intercepted communications and financial transactions as part of a broad investigation into possible links between Russian officials and associates of Trump”

“The counterintelligence investigation centers at least in part on the business dealings that some of the president-elect’s past and present advisers have had with Russia…Some of [Manafort’s] contacts there [in Russia] were under survelliance…”

So exactly where does Schmidt posit that Trump or his associates were wiretapped? I’m really getting sick of this crap.

      • Just A Citizen says:

You wouldn’t be so sick of it if you weren’t so hung up on semantics.

When people accused Bush II of doing things did they really mean Bush personally?

Do you not understand the basic concept that “intercepted communications” is synonymous with “wire tapping” in the modern age?

I am getting sick of the crap also. The crap coming from the Democratic Party establishment, which seems to include the intelligence agencies and the media.

        • What semantics?? All I’m asking for is some evidence of Trump’s claims. So far I’ve seen none.

          • Just A Citizen says:

Gman posted several stories here where the “media” claims that such eves dropping has occurred. That Clitnon was informed in October of intel. agencies, maybe FBI, had hacked Trump’s server to find connections to Russians.

Mark Levin has put out the series of stories by NYT, the Gurardian and others all citing “intel. sources” claiming that Trump’s associates have been under surveillance, including phone calls, etc.,,

ALL of these were done during the Obama Administration.

So either they are all LYING or Trump is correct.

So what proof are you claiming to be waiting for? That Obama personally ordered the surveillance? If that is your argument then yes, you are using semantics to deflect what has happened.

Just as Mathius tried to use the trick yesterday of assigning “illegal or wrong” on the wire tapping. The issue is whether the Administration was conducting surveillance of Trump, his associates and his campaign during a presidential election. And if so, which they have admitted to the press, what was the purpose. WHO ordered it, who conducted it and then the most important question of all. WHO leaked the information to the Press.

            Because those leaks are ILLEGAL.

            • JAC – I don’t recall NYT stories positing that it was Trump’s associates who were the one’s being wiretapped, under surveillance, etc., just that there were intercepted communications between Russians and Trump’s associates. Forgive me if I don’t take Trump or someone like Levin at his word here.

And again, even if Trump is correct and the Obama administrations had put certain members of his team under surveillance, there is similarly no evidence this was done illegally or improperly.

              • What do they have to come up, slap the handcuffs on you and take you to the Gulag before you acknowledge where the hell this will end. Or, are you one of those, “It can’t happen here” folks? Or, third choice, does it not matter if they come for the conservatives because you are not a conservative?

              • No SK, I am one of those asking for evidence, nothing more and nothing less.

              • As Mathius posted:

Trump: The government is secretly being run by shape shifting lizard people!
Comey: Um… can you prove that?
Trump: You should prove that it isn’t!

              • I have to go with Buck on this one…..I would not believe the NYT or Washington Post if they said day is light and night is dark……I want to see the proof. End of sentence.

              • Where shall I start, Merkel? The AP, The Fox news guy. I realize you are a lawyer but sometimes I think like a cop. First I round up the usual suspects based on past performance, then I dig, dig and dig some more. In this case with virtually no help from anyone else.

Charlie Manson standing over me as I wake up with a meat cleaver in his hand would give me pause.

So, let us assume for a minute it is all too true. Do you fear for the Republic?

          • Just A Citizen says:

      • gmanfortruth says:

Buck, I read just fine, thanks. The headline on the front page, Jan 20 of the NY Times says it all: Wiretapped data Used in Inquiry of Trump Aides

That’s pretty damn straight forward and simple English, don’t Ya think?

        • And doesn’t that beg the question WHO was being wiretapped?

          • gmanfortruth says:

Let’s say it was Russians. That’s fine and legal. What is illegal is releasing ANY info from a US citizen who is not the target of the FISA warrant. The release of Flynn’s stuff was illegal if this is the case.

The President can order spying under national security terms, I believe that’s in the Patriot Act. The spying may be legal, the release of what is found cannot be legally released if there is no crime committed.

          • gmanfortruth says:

If I’m not mistaken, a FOX news reporter and a few other media people were spied on too not that long ago by the Obama Administration. This qualifies as a precedent.

        • gmanfortruth says:

Let me add: Spicer should show the picture of the front page to the media when they ask for proof and tell them to go to the NY Times. If the Times stand by their story, which they better, then they have the proof. IF NOT, then the Times is guilty of printing FAKE NEWS.

          Which would you prefer?

Next: The proof may not be releasable due to it’s classification. If that’s the case, which I suspect, the Congressional investigators will see it.

Next, next: The media use of the word “Transcripts” when responding to the investigation on Trump’s people is also clear, transcripts come from spoken words, like speeches and intercepted communications or……..wiretapped phone calls. This isn’t that hard.

          • But, Gman….you and I both know that if you do not want the real story out…….you classify it and then leak to the media. The oldest dodge in the world is classification.

            • gmanfortruth says:

Agreed, but the classification may come from law, not the White House. If Trump releases what he has, then the Swamp Donkey’s and the Liberal media will be all over him for releasing classified stuff. It’s how they operate. To hell with Clinton’s misues of classified stuff, it’s a Republican now, gotta follow the law. They are hypocrits, period

              • Anita – it says some of Manafort’s contacts in the Ukraine and Russia were under surveillance. It does not say Trump’s people were being wiretapped. Now, perhaps they were, but we simply do not know that at this time.

              • Trump never said that he personally had been tapped, just that Trump Tower had been tapped.

Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my “wires tapped” in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!

Comey: Um… can you prove that?
Trump: You should prove that it isn’t!

    • Objection

The underground intel can leak whatever they want (NY Times article suggesting collusion with Russians) without proof and that’s fine and dandy. But let Trump go on a twitter fit and suddenly everyone wants proof. Which Gingrich says the proof is that Flynn was at Trump Tower when he was put on the stake…. but as to Comey…

Reince Priebus was simply asking for the FBI to give truthful information about the false reports to the public. The White House was asking Comey to deliver transparency.

Quote from the FBI to Priebus: “We’d love to help, but we can’t get into the position of making statements on every story”.

Oh, but now, when there are “false wire-tapping reports” about Director Comey, now, N.O.W he wants the Trump administration, via the DOJ, to help him out and deny the FBI had any involvement in surveillance of Trump Tower, candidate Donald Trump or President-Elect Donald Trump.

Now, when it fits Comey’s preferred sensibility. Now he wants a clear and transparent record. The hypocrisy is thick with this guy.

When the White House was asking Comey to clear the record, Comey says: “we’d love to help, but”… However, now that the shoe is on the other foot Comey is full of righteously indignant appeals to the White House for clarity.

      Screw you James Comey!

      Really? Come on now….

Look, I agree Trump never said it was done illegally. But he sure as hell implied it, and all without any evidence that it was his peoples’ phones being tapped.

Trump: […] the fact that President Obama was tapping my phones in October […]

So you assert that it’s a strawman for the Blue Shirts to point out that nobody in the White House authorized a tap (or “tapp”).

But Trump is out there talking about he should hire a lawyer to make a lot of money because OBAMA WAS TAPPING MY PHONES. Not the FBI, not some other law enforcement agency. Trump is directly accusing former President Obama of tapping his [Trump’s] phones.

As such, the defense that, not only did Obama not authorize and taps, but that nobody in the White House did is, in fact, not only NOT a straw man, but an overly broad rejection of his accusation.

Trump didn’t assert that there might have been a lawful wiretap by an investigative agency. He claimed that Obama, personally and illegally, tapped tapped (or implicitly: ordered said tapp).

He makes it sound like Obama was personally listening in on him for political gain. As far as I can tell, that’s unsubstantiated, unmitigated bullcrap.

The Wikileaks release of CIA documents today is beginning to make some news. This little tidbit is interesting:

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Wikileaks “Vault 7” drop of CIA cyber-warfare documents contains the startling revelation that the CIA, under a project identified as “Umbrage,” maintained a substantial library of Russian cyber-attack techniques “stolen” from malware produced in other states including the Russian Federation.

This revelation yields a “through the looking glass” possibility that the Obama administration obtained FISA permission to conduct electronic surveillance on Russians believed to be coordinating with the Trump campaign based on intelligence the CIA planted to deceive the NSA into thinking there was actual contact between Russian agents and the Trump campaign.

  49. gmanfortruth says:

WikiLeaks released the following list on Feb. 23 of Obama administration wire taps:

    The U.S. National Security Agency bugged a private climate change strategy meeting between U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon and German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin;
    Obama bugged chief of staff of U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) for long term interception targeting his Swiss phone;
    Obama singled out the director of the rules division of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Johann Human, and targeted his Swiss phone for long term interception;
    Obama stole sensitive Italian diplomatic cables detailing how Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu implored Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi to help patch up his relationship with President Obama, who was refusing to talk to Netanyahu;
    Obama intercepted top EU and Japanese trade ministers discussing their secret strategy and red lines to stop the U.S. “extort[ing]” them at the WTO Doha rounds (the talks subsequently collapsed);
    Obama explicitly targeted five other top EU economic officials for long term interception, including their French, Austrian and Belgium phone numbers;
Obama explicitly targeted the phones of Italy’s ambassador to NATO and other top Italian officials for long term interception; and
Obama intercepted details of a critical private meeting between then French president Nicolas Sarkozy, Merkel and Berlusconi in which the latter was told the Italian banking system was ready to “pop like a cork.”
In addition to the above list it’s also known now that Obama wiretapped various individuals in the U.S. media that were reporting information not flattering to the Obama administration. It is widely known that Obama’s Justice Department targeted journalists with wiretaps in 2013.
In 2013, the left-leaning Washington Post expressed outrage after the revelation that the Justice Department had investigated the newsgathering activities of a Fox News reporter as a potential crime in a probe of classified leaks. The reporter, Fox News’ James Rosen and his family, were part of an investigation into government officials anonymously leaking information to journalists. Rosen was not charged but his movements and actions were tracked.
Also in 2013, members of the Associated Press were a target of the surveillance. The liberal New Yorker even noted, “In moderate and liberal circles, at least, the phone-records scandal, partly because it involves the dear old A.P. and partly because it raises anew the specter of Big Brother, may well present the most serious threat to Obama’s reputation.”
Reporter Sharyl Attkisson said in 2014 that her personal computer and CBS laptop were hacked after she began filing stories about Benghazi that were unflattering to the Obama administration. A source who checked her laptop said the hacker used spyware “proprietary to a government agency,” according to the New York Post.

  50. Just A Citizen says:

Now for those claiming that listening in on Trump’s people was “not wrong” lets ask a very pointed question.

Why was listening to either the Russian ambassador or Trump’s staff proper? What did this have to do with the investigation into the supposed hacking of the DNC and Podesta? Of the investigation into Russian’s influencing the election?

I remind everyone that the investigation conducted by the FBI and then the other agencies was aimed at the “hacking”. On the cyber security breaches. So why did someone, assuming the FBI, try to get a FISA authorization to eves drop on Trump and/or his people?? The first attempts were supposedly rejected. Which kind of indicates their reasons were non existent, yet they tried. And they tried again, and again in Oct. when one was supposedly approved.

What does any of the Russian bank accounts and their business with Trump have to do with “hacking investigation”??? This is supposedly why the Oct. FISA request was approved. Remember, Clinton is told by the FBI about Trump’s server being connected to Banks who do business with Russians. Why is Clinton told this by the FBI??? She is no longer in the Intelligence loop at this point. At this point who is meddling in the election?

I would like to point out here that one of the DNC people who was under cyber attack was the staffer conducting “opposition research” on Trumps manager, Paul Manafor. Who had ties to Ukraine’s President. So shortly after this person reports attempted hacking of her Yahoo accounts the FBI goes to FISA to get permission to do surveillance on Trump and/or his people. Noting we do not know what or who was included in the FISA request. Only that “intelligence sources” have said it was for Trump tower and it was denied. Begs the question if there was a connection between the two events.

I would also like to remind everyone that the first reports of hacks into the DNC computers was to those containing “Opposition research on Trump”. It was not on emails by DNC folks or Podesta or Clinton. The FBI reported it appeared the Russians were trying to figure out what Trump was all about.

So if Trump and the Ruskies were in collusion why would they try to hack the DNC’s work on him between Sept 2015 and April 2016?? Did they pass it on to Trump and/or his people? The DNC and Clinton tried to use this stuff to get to Trump’s popularity. Yet no real counter measures were employed that you might expect if Trump knew in advance.

On the other hand it would support SK’s theory that Trump had better INTEL. Were the Russians funneling somone in his camp the scoop on what the Dems knew and possibly what Obama was up to???

And yes, during this time there was also significant attempts at reading emails and spearphishing personal accounts of DNC staff. But the very first indications of a problem were with the Oppo Research. Which by the way involved “seven dozen computers” dedicated to the Trump Research. The FBI notified the DNC of the breach in Sept. 2015. Their initial warning was ignored. The FBI reported in 2016 that the hackers were looking around in the DNC system “for almost a year”.

At this point we do not know for sure that the FISA efforts to surveil. Trump and company was “wrong” or “improper”. The optics stink though. A sitting administration conducting surveillance of an opposition party candidate and his staff. And this investigation does not appear to be logically linked to the investigation of who hacked the Democrats. At the time the first FISA requests are made.

The white knight with the bad hair do. Throw in some really secretive and dastardly spies and some journalists who’s only care is pushing their agenda and making a name for themselves. I don’t have the ending yet but is certainly looks to be exciting.
