We are all being gaslighted. The current theme is that they expect some covert action from the TROOPS stationed at teh capitol. The Messes just eat this crap up! The “Messes” did I say “Messes” whoops, I meant masses.
“Any type of activity that involves violence, civil disobedience, or a breach of peace may be punishable under the Uniform Code of Military Justice or under state or federal law,” the Army’s statement read.”
How does the UCMJ come into this unless it is a military member?
This is just the next step in the narrative that Conservatives are violent and dangerous. This is looking like an agenda, which will likely end up with the Left screaming for gun control after some event down the road. What might that event be? Political assassination? School shooting? We will see.
Never read their website……….here is some of what I found and what I think…if you are talking QAnon…..
At its heart, QAnon is a wide-ranging, completely unfounded theory that says that President Trump is waging a secret war against elite Satan-worshipping paedophiles in government, business and the media. The Colonel says…..bullshit.
QAnon believers have speculated that this fight will lead to a day of reckoning where prominent people such as former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will be arrested and executed. The Colonel says….Bullshit.
A Pew Research Center study in September 2020 found that nearly half of Americans had heard of QAnon- double the number from six months before. Of those who had heard about it, a fifth had a positive view of the movement. The Colonel says he has heard of them but puts them in the same category as Antifa and BLM.
QAnon purports that America is run by a cabal of pedophiles and Satan-worshippers who run a global child sex-trafficking operation and that President Trump is the only person who can stop them. The information supposedly comes from a high-ranking government official who posts cryptic clues on 4chan and the even more unfettered site 8chan under the name “Q.” The Colonel says….bullshit.
It claims the military, supposedly eager to see the deep state overthrown, recruited President Trump to run for president. But the deep state, which controls the media, quickly tried to smear him through “fake news” and unfounded allegations of collusion with Russia. It goes on to insist that despite the deep state’s best efforts, however, President Trump is winning, and that Q is releasing sanctioned leaks to the public in order to galvanize them ahead of “The Storm,” which is the moment when the deep state’s leaders are arrested and sent to Guantanamo Bay. QAnon believers have called this process “The Great Awakening.” The Colonel says……..bullshit.
Q’s posts tend to be either vague or totally incomprehensible, but QAnon believers are more than happy to try and decipher them. Last year, for example, Q posted a photo of an unnamed island chain. Eager to divine the reasoning behind the post, QAnon adherents tried to “prove” that the photo must have been taken on Air Force One and thus that Q was traveling with the president. The Colonel says……Sounds like a scene from the Twilight Zone but reminds me of BLM and Antifa.
The name refers to Q-level clearance at the Energy Department. But who’s behind the posts is anybody’s guess. According to Sommer, the QAnon faithful sometimes point to former national security adviser Michael Flynn and White House aide Dan Scavino as possibilities. Others believe it’s Mr. Trump himself. Another theory is that John F. Kennedy Jr. faked his death and now posts on 8chan as QAnon. The Colonel says…..someone has been watching too much Star Trek. This is what it reminds me of. (ohhh, I ended a sentence with a preposition).
According to political science professor Joe Uscinski, who studies conspiracy theories, “The beliefs themselves are almost an incitement to violence. I mean, there isn’t anything worse you can say about your political competitors than that they are satanic sex traffickers who molest and eat children.” The Colonel says….the more I read the better it gets. Clearly, they have learned tactics from Antifa, BLM, and the Progressive movement. They are about all in the same category.
Ok, I have read enough….this is crap. I know no one in this Q Anon….have not bothered to read about it until today….(Thanks Mathius…eeeccchh!) I noticed that there are 2 members elected to Congress but that is no different than the Progressive Movement sponsored by Democrats in electing AOL and friends……
I do see this, however, with the Dems in charge, I bet the censorship of the Social Media and all media will get stronger….QAnon seems to be a catalyst that is spurring this newest censorship movement…..I think this is proven that the BLM leader that was arrested in all of this crap is still able to Tweet and has not been shut down where everyone else that has a conservative bend has been….that speaks volumes.
In conclusion, from what I have read, that QAnon and BLM and Anitifa were all in the capitol and they are all the same……something that I would wipe of the bottom of my boots every time I walk through a corral.
I didn’t know what QAnon was until reading this. I had heard it mentioned in news articles and such as a conspiracy theory but had never looked into it. I don’t know anyone who goes for this stuff.
“According to political science professor Joe Uscinski, who studies conspiracy theories, “The beliefs themselves are almost an incitement to violence. I mean, there isn’t anything worse you can say about your political competitors than that they are satanic sex traffickers who molest and eat children.“
This just sounds like an excuse for limiting speech. I don’t see what QAnon is doing as all that different from the left calling everyone on the right racists. It’s all just trying to paint your opposition as evil, so you won’t have to make any logical arguments.
I never got into the Q thing. When it first popped up, I would see a post here and there, but it was so cryptic and tic toc ish, things that never seemed to come true, that I never bothered even going to the site. And I still have never been to the site. Is there even an actual site? I don’t know, BUT…just this past weekend I found a link to something that was posted along with comments about another Q post.
This has me completely mind blown. This is where I am totally in my own little oblivious bubble about just how deep this stuff goes. Its about spies infiltrating forums and the different kinds of tactics used to actually gaslight people. And man, it gets right down into the roots of the weeds. It got me thinking that it probably goes deeper than just chat rooms. I’m sure this happens in real life too, especially at the government level. At their little cocktail parties, their little committee meetings, wherever they gather. I’m sure it spreads right to state and local levels too. Also makes me think about people on main street.
And it pisses me off so bad. THIS is what most of our problem is. Nobody can be truthful about anything. And that’s not right. I had to take a few breaks wile reading it, just to let my mind relax a little. Never did get thru the whole darn thing because it got me so mad. I saved it because I still do want to read it all, very closely, just to be a little more heads up about what we are really up against.
https://cryptome.org/2012/07/gent-forum-spies.htm
Skip the first few lines of BS to get to the actual meat of it. (woops, preposition ending like the Colonel…tough.) Disclaimer: I’m sorta scared to post the link, you know, spies and shit..if someone thinks it should come down, go for it..
Been seeing lots of comments on this video, most of them saying this is all staged. Especially the fake southern accent guy who got shot in the face, with no evidence of blood .spewing anywhere.
I saw a comment over the weekend that Buffalo Man had his illegal entry charges dropped because he was invited in. How many more fall into this category? I still hear that dead count is 5 but the last one was a suicide so how does that fit the narrative. Also the officer appears to have died of natural causes although this may have been brought on by chemical exposure. The other 3 were natural causes. Have not heard if all these were inside the Capitol or if some were in the large crowd outside. Medical problems always pop up in these large crowds and are to be expected. People are out there walking long distances in cold weather for hours.
My money says that, if anyone starts serious shit, they’re going to find out what happens when you play revolutionary and lose.
I’m sure there will be non-lethal options, but they’re going to have an abundance of “serious consequences” type options, too.
They’re not going to mess around after the failed coup attempt. I’m absolutely certain that Biden has given instructions to avoid a bloodbath on inauguration day if at all possible, but that “if at all possible” is not “possible,” the alternative isn’t “let them sack the capitol,” but rather, “fuck around and find out.”
If a mob of Trump loyalists attempts to breach the swearing-in ceremony, they’re going to be Swiss Cheese before they get anywhere close to Biden.
Wow, Mathius….I am really surprised at your attitude….(1). Believing that it is a failed coup attempt and (2) the use of the term Trump loyalists…..so adopting that attitude then why aren’t Antigua and BLM Democrat and Biden loyalists…….
Just because most of the crowd and even many within the actual riot themselves were not attempting to overthrow the government, that doesn’t change that some were. For example, again, zip tie handcuffs guys.. there were there do DO something. They brought those zip cuffs for a REASON.
As for Antigua, I have no idea what they’ve done.. it’s a very nice island.
We’ll see how BLM acts under Biden, but for the moment, do anything similar to this. I know you are of the “a riot is a riot” mindset, but I view looting of a k-mart to be very different than trying to undermine democracy by force in order to install your preferred candate.
From Reuters, “No ‘direct evidence’ of plot to kidnap or kill lawmakers in U.S. Capitol attack: Justice Department official”:
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – A U.S. Justice Department official on Friday said there is currently no direct evidence of efforts to capture or assassinate lawmakers in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
“We don’t have any direct evidence of kill capture teams,” said Michael Sherwin, the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, in a press conference with reporters.
Gman, quit playing into they hype….there are NOT going to be 25k NG there…no where close. I have seen the list. I think that the public understands the scare tactics and the hype that the media and FBI are throwing out there…….when nothing happens, then you will hear the mantra…we were prepared so nothing did happen…..live with the bullshit spewing out and get over it. Prepare for 2 years down the road. Trump is out….he will not be back 4 years from now. But this crap being spewed out by the media Ned the FBI is crapola……full stop.
Watch the fireworks a month from now down here….no one will cross the Texas border…they will go to Arizona or California. Watch the Dems get their panties in a wad….it will be fun.
I’m not buying into anything. I think the whole thing is for show, nothing more. Even Mathius’s coup where they were fighting out front and letting them in the door around back was a crock. Mathius has sure fell head over heals for the BS, but me, not at all!
Why didn’t they just run Harris for the top spot? They rigged it to win anyway. Uncle Joe is just gonna Uncle Joe. He’s not making it the whole four years. So why not just run Harris?
Because, no matter how great a female candidate may be…I don’t think she wins for awhile. Get joe in…knock him off, or impeach him because of Hunter….voila. The glass ceiling is broken.
henceforth and forever more, AOC will be referred to as “Hot Lips”.
Oh, man… I had such a crush on Hot Lips… that you see that as ridicule and not a compliment says something highly questionable about your taste in women.
There was not a damned thing wrong with her voice (when Hawkeye and BJ/MacIntyre weren’t driving her up the wall). And, frankly, her frustration was entirely warranted considering how much bullshit they were allowed to get away with in what she felt should be a far more by-the-book unit.
Frankly, I blame the colonel.. no, the other colonel.. he should have reigned them in more or found a way to keep their chaos from infecting the whole camp on a weekly basis.
You’d shrill, too, if some nut case was constantly wreaking havoc (and sexually harassing your subordinates) with impunity while you try to keep order and run an efficient hospital unit under incredibly stressful conditions that, somehow, lasted more than twice as long as the war itself.
WASHINGTON, D.C.—President-elect Joe Biden will be inaugurated this week, and due to his incredible popularity with the American people, he will be inaugurated in a top-secret location behind a massive 12-foot wall guarded by 30,000 soldiers.
“The reason President-elect Biden has to do this is that he’s just so incredibly popular,” said Don Lemon on CNN. “He has so many rabid fans that they might try to rush the stage as they’re overcome with enthusiasm and love for Biden who is by far the most beloved candidate who has ever run for President.”
In addition to the 12-foot electric fence topped with razor wire and the 30,000 heavily armed soldiers who have been vetted as Democrats, there will be flying drones programmed to target MAGA hats, a platoon of ninjas, and a moat filled with crocodiles dug all the way around the Capitol Building and White House.
Biden will then be escorted to a secret underground bunker patrolled by attack choppers where he will give the oath of office in a dark concrete room with all the recording equipment turned off.
“This is a slight break in tradition but it’s necessary because Biden is just so incredibly popular and loved by the people,” said Nancy Pelosi.
Sources say that Biden will be brought to an undisclosed location after the inauguration to live out his remaining days peacefully until Kamala Harris’s inauguration next week.
U.S.—Democrat-run states are now calling on the nation to follow the science by doing what Florida did back in May, opening their economies with reasonable precautions and protections for the vulnerable.
The states are all now suggesting we begin reopening and that our economies cannot stay closed forever. They are calling this process “following the science,” though apparently they mean “follow what Republican states like Texas, Florida, and South Dakota did months ago.”
“We must follow the science by doing what Republican states did eight months ago,” said Governor Cuomo. “Now that Biden will be our president, it is time for the pandemic to end.”
D.C. Mayor Bowser agreed, saying, “The SCIENCE says we must reopen. We cannot kill every small business and restaurant in the city. Think about how a tanking economy would hurt President Biden.”
She also said, “We must catch that rascally plumber Mario!”
Governor Newsom isn’t quite on board yet, saying he will wait to follow the science and reopen until Kamala Harris is president.
I thought a coup was when a faction within the government or military attempts to unseat the current leader, not when a group of unarmed protesters breaks into the Capitol and takes selfies. Calling it a coup just seems silly and gives the whole thing way too much credit.
Stop using so much logic. Everyone knows that when the Capital police handed out some flex cuffs and said “go get your picture taken” that it was more than a selfie.
And now, we have the military being asked what party they supported…of course, no one is saying anything but the word is…if you do not say, you are considered an insurrectionist. Isn’t this where the brown shirts started….you are either a Nationalist Socialist Party ( a nazi ) or you are a state enemy…
You cannot be asked what persuasion you are but you can be asked if you are a conservative…..they are not asking if you are Republican…but if you are a conservative.
Liberal journalists and social media voices have stepped up their calls to “deprogram,” deplatform or outright threaten right-leaning voices in the aftermath of the deadly Capitol riot earlier this month. The question is how are we going to really almost deprogram these people who have signed up for the cult of Trump,” Couric said. Robinson said last week on MSNBC “there are millions of Americans, almost all White, almost all Republicans, who somehow need to be deprogrammed,” calling them members of a “Trumpist cult.”Forbes published an op-ed last week warning companies against hiring anyone who worked in communications for the Trump White House.Let it be known to the business world: Hire any of Trump’s fellow fabulists above, and Forbes will assume that everything your company or firm talks about is a lie,” Randall Lane wrote. On CNN’s “Reliable Sources” on Sunday, former Facebook chief security officer Alex Stamos called on Big Tech and major carriers like Verizon and AT&T to effectively deplatform right-wing outlets in the name of purging misinformation.Meantime, The Lincoln Project, a super PAC run by anti-Trump Republicans or former Republicans, has also stepped up its aggressive efforts to financially ruin anyone associated with the Trump brand.
This REEKS of Nazi Germany…and should scare the hell out of you.
Rep. Steve Cohen, D-Tenn., ominously suggested Monday that Donald Trump supporters within the National Guard charged with helping protect Joe Biden “might want to do something” to the president-elect.
In an unprecedented show of security force, 25,000 National Guard troops have been deployed to Washington, D.C., to protect Biden’s inauguration this week. The city is on edge after a pro-Trump mob stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, which disrupted the certification of Biden’s Electoral College victory and resulted in several deaths. The FBI is vetting Guard service members charged with protecting the Capitol this week.
Cohen told CNN he had been reminded that former India Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was assassinated by her own bodyguards and said any Trump supporters within National Guard units were suspicious.
================
Un-fucking believable….just ……………..well, hell it dos not even deserve a comment.
My guess is that much of your news will be classified. I’m getting some odd emails today about happenings forthcoming. Likely nothing, but interesting.
For example, 2K NG members being deputized by U.S. Marshals. Prolly for arrest powers, but without a credible threat ??????
National Guard can be deputized at any time by the governor….however, in the case of DC..I do not know that procedure.,,,,BUT, US Marshalls cannot do anything with any military.
In retrospect on 21 January 2017 the first shot in the second Civil War was fired. The immediate demand for the impeachment of President Trump for Russian collusion.
Well damn! Texting with my daughter right now. Covid struck them. Daughter got it last week but never got tested. SIL started feeling bad yesterday, lost taste and smell, got tested today. Grands probably have it too, but none of them is anywhere close to deathbed status. Daughter has been working from home since March. Kids are on split school program/now full time home program for the last several weeks. SIL has been going to work since March, now home on quarantine for 10 days. Daughter has had to nap a couple times, other than that its business as usual.
Wishing them all the best… send our love from the Lunatic Asylum!
Meanwhile, the wife got her first round of vaccine yesterday and in-laws are on deck soonish. I’m at the back of the bus (is that an insensitive thing to say on MLK day?)
Thanks V. I’ve been glaring at my phone, daring it to send a message from them. Just got a pic sent showing the grands at their computers and dad standing watch behind them. Stuffy noses and congestion seems to be the worst of it. At least everyone is vertical. One pic set my mind at ease.
FYI, the Horn man being escorted to the floor of the House is NOT fake. By the way, the Horn man is in jail awaiting extradition from Arizona. While Mr. Sullivan, the leftist “instigator” as Mom would have called him is free on no cash bail. Horn man will be charged with insurrection with a 25 year stretch if convicted.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Monday said he finds it “offensive” that the FBI is vetting National Guard members, including those from his own state, ahead of President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration on Wednesday.
“This is the most offensive thing I’ve ever heard,” Abbott, a Republican, wrote on Twitter. “No one should ever question the loyalty or professionalism of the Texas National Guard.”
“I authorized 1,000 to go to DC,” Abbott wrote. “I’ll never do it again if they are disrespected like this.”
He and other leaders say they haven’t seen evidence of any threats and officials noted that the vetting hadn’t flagged any issues that they were aware of.
Acting Secretary of Defense Chris Miller, in a statement on Monday, said that the Department of Defense has also not received any intelligence indicating a potential insider threat.
——————————–
So, no threats and even the acting Sec of Defense also says no threats from their intelligence network……yet we must have a “show” on the inauguration….unbelievable.
Hi Colonel – comment of your caught my eye….”No one should ever question the loyalty or professionalism of the Texas National Guard”.
Let me say differently – having routine screening and re-screening practices in place is keeping honest people honest. And I know you know that. You have access to cleared information – I don’t know/recall if you’re SCI/poly but suspect if you are – you could share with SUFA that you are not ever one and done with clearance. I’ve hired/led teams for 20 yrs trusted with keys to the kingdom in business – I couldn’t imagine not vetting and routinely re-vetting. Its a basic best practice. Its never about doubting loyalty or professionalism. Abbott is jackass as much as it asinine that we’re here. But we’re here.
Your final statement also puzzles me a little…….SecDef says no active threats (insider). Lets assume that’s true. SecDef (active) would never mislead us. Lets also rewind even a little bit of tape – in the OSINT circles we routinely see the evidence of current/former LE, responder/military advocating/supporting extremism/violence, symbol brandishing, outright violence. They are an inherent threat with periodic active threats that more often than not do not materialize into active threat.
I’m not sure if you’re arguing against any presence versus the size of it? I assume at the border you cease patrols until you have an active threat. I assume also you don’t smash a thumbtack with a sledge hammer.
FWIW….the Biden inauguration should have followed form to all that preceded it…..his rallies, pressers, victory celebrations……small, subdued, cut the fanfare, minimal pomp. That we have 20k+ troops in the capital for this “show” is dumb optic given how all that has happened before it.
That we have 20k+ troops in the capital for this “show” is dumb optic given how all that has happened before it.
I’m inclined to agree that this is theater.
But, well, I don’t know enough to know enough, you know?
That said, there may be something to the fact that having a strong presence might deter those who might have otherwise gotten bright ideas.
What is your view on the events of 1/6? Do you think that a stronger policing presence might have handled the riot / attempted coup a bit more effectively? Do you think a stronger policing presence might have avoided the matter entirely?
Hi Mathius – gonna hit easy button and say yes – the deterrence factor failed. Optimistic “some” measure of investigation will unravel the who and why – but like many I am very skeptical. The mob/insurrectionists/whatever seem to have been equal parts Gravy Seals, experienced rioters and caught-in-the-moment_oh-shitters. Two-thirds of them head back to the warm hotel room and more NewsMax/OANN Big Lie-bullshit-broadcasting with a proper show of force.
Optimistic “some” measure of investigation will unravel the who and why – but like many I am very skeptical
They’ll fry the smaller fish. Q-Shaman and the like are going down hard and for a long, long time. The feds are going to make an example of them.
They might throw one or two members of the Sedition Caucus, in particular Rep. Boebert, under the bus, but I think we all know that the laws don’t really apply to the powerful. I don’t think there will be any serious consequences to anyone higher up unless they find a real smoking gun somewhere (and they might).
I don’t think this goes away until at least a handful of bigger fish are fried. I think the left is unlikely to be satisfied with just prosecuting the peons while letting their enablers and inciters and backer go free.
The mob/insurrectionists/whatever seem to have been equal parts Gravy Seals, experienced rioters and caught-in-the-moment_oh-shitters
Agreed. This has been my position all along.
I think the bigger problem is the handful of serious people. The kinds who planned ahead and packed zip cuffs and had the floor plans and who (allegedly) took tours of the building beforehand. These are the kinds of people who (albeit few in relative number) are the ones to start shit and turn a “mob” into a “riot” and a “riot” into a full-blown “insurrection.” These are the kinds of people who would have, had the opportunity presented themselves, attempted to overthrow the government to install their Dear Leader in a second term or taken Democrats hostage or possibly executed people.
Two-thirds of them head back to the warm hotel room and more NewsMax/OANN Big Lie-bullshit-broadcasting with a proper show of force.
Agreed.
Most people are not revolutionaries and do not want to put their necks on the line if they can help it. They just want to talk a big game from the safety of the internet.
Ya know Matt, in case you missed it DFOJ itself has DEBUNKED ( favorite leftist word I believe) the notion that hostages were to be seized and Pence hanged. Why do YOU continue to spread mis-information.
May have something there. I suggest in the post vetting period, loyal troops with no offensive political ties could be garnered together under a special, distinctive name. Perhaps “Praetorian” guard or even SS. Both have strong historical roots and precedent.
Pueblo Sin Fronteras said at Tuesday’s press conference it will release a petition for the Biden administration. Items on the list include a demand the U.S. border be open to people who are seeking asylum, the elimination of the Remain in Mexico policy, an end to the separation of migrant families, and the “guarantee” of legal representation for asylum seekers.
Texas Governor Gregg Abbott says: If you want to violate the law, go to Arizona or California. You will not cross here. Otherwise, you will be welcome here with proper paperwork.
Since the inception of the Texas Rangers in 1823, the valiant law enforcement agency has adapted with the times, developing a more modern operation. Today its legacy has grown to one of the most effective investigative law enforcement agencies in the world. “Today, the modern Texas Ranger is almost limitless in his capabilities,” said Cawthon. “The availability of resources through the state of Texas and beyond. A Ranger may need a forensics team with sophisticated DNA gathering abilities, a helicopter, an airplane, or a drone. A Ranger may even need a SWAT team. These are things that the Ranger can bring to any investigation throughout Texas.”
“The biggest is human trafficking in smuggling and child trafficking,” said Sweaney. “In the last ten years, because of the severity of it and the amount going on, the amount of money that these smugglers can make not only with drugs but now you know the smuggling of humans and using children and women.”
The Rangers have earned respect on a global scale. They are sought after for their unique crime fight and investigating experience and practices.
“Once you become a Texas Ranger, the training continues,” said Cawthon. “You’re going to be taught criminal investigation. You’re going to be taught crime scene investigation, forensics, hypnosis. You may be taught interview and interrogation techniques. There is just a ton of training available for a Texas Ranger.”The Rangers are the oldest state law enforcement agency in North America. They have been compared to other world-famous law enforcement agencies such as the FBI and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The Texas Rangers are also marking their 200th anniversary in 2023.
Boy…ain’t that the truth….sort of Ironic, tho, the Captain of the real Texas Rangers supposedly sent a letter to the baseball team….win or change your name.
It is an article of faith for many Americans that the Donald Trump years were an aberration and that Joe Biden will usher in something close to normalcy. I’ll take the other side of that bet.
I believe the coming years are going to be at least as tumultuous as the Trump presidency. Although Biden will not directly cause that tumult, his weakness as a leader, of his own party and the nation, will help fuel discord and make it impossible for him to forge anything resembling normalcy.
Most of those who think Biden can wave a magic wand blame Trump alone for the deep polarization gripping America. They’re wrong – Trump was elected precisely because the country already was deeply polarized.
Moreover, while Trump’s personality is highly unorthodox, to say the least, he did not single-handedly set in motion the dangerous levels of strife engulfing our nation. His successful policies on immigration, taxes and the Mideast were fairly conventional by Republican standards.
Instead, the unrest and growing use of violence to achieve political ends are outgrowths of the extreme resistance movement against Trump. He ran as a disrupter, but was a piker compared to those who hated him and were willing to smash every social, political and legal norm to drive him from office.
That resistance was started by Hillary Clinton and holdouts from the 2016 election and spread to Democrats in Congress, especially Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. Their refusal to treat Trump as a legitimate president and worthy of their cooperation marks them as early victims of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
They incited and fanned the flames of the Russia collusion scam and used it, with the help of J. Edgar Comey and other crooked players in the FBI and intelligence agencies, to sabotage the president.
The anything-goes madness made it acceptable in many quarters to declare that the president deserved to be assassinated.
The final industry to put its full force against him, the social-media giants, used their monopolies not just to restrict but ultimately to silence the president of the United States. It’s as if Facebook, Twitter, Google and Apple stamped the word “cancel” on the White House.
The tech blackout, while largely a response to the Capitol invasion, was the capstone of four years in which unwritten codes of conduct were broken and traditions shattered. The players were different, but the central explanation was always the same: Trump is dangerous, this time is different, we have no choice.
Trump certainly made his share of mistakes, especially during the post-election period, but the most provocative thing he did was refuse to surrender. For four years, each time he punched back, the would-be destroyers escalated their attacks, which were amplified by a media chorus. The New York Times, Washington Post, broadcast networks and CNN and MSNBC were on a mission to destroy him.
The claim that Trump’s conduct demanded an extraordinary effort against him is a convenient excuse. The truth is that elite institutions, businesses, unions and others aligned with Democrats made the choice that getting rid of Trump was more important than anything else.
Trump didn’t break those institutions and cause half the country to distrust them. The people running them did that.
There is lots of talk these days about the “big lie,” but perhaps the biggest is that America would return to normal when Trump was out of the way. He will be gone Wednesday at noon, but normalcy is nowhere to be seen.
Look at Washington, turned into a garrison town of fences, barbed wire and armed soldiers patrolling the streets. Is this a normal inauguration?
The visible response to the storming of Congress mirrors the rhetoric coming from Pelosi, who rushed a meaningless impeachment of Trump in just one day.
Before Pelosi, in the entire history of the United States, presidential impeachment was used only twice. She doubled that total in the last 13 months. Trump is her white whale.
If the departure of Trump could cure what ails America, we should be seeing signs of it already. But the victory has only stoked the anger of those who never accepted him as president.
Revenge is in the air, as members of Congress and far-left activists demand that airlines, hotels, publishing houses and other businesses shun Trump supporters. Some firms are complying in a craven bid to curry favor that smacks of banana republics where the vanquished are hounded and punished for daring to dissent.
In a move straight out of George Orwell, Dems and the media have twisted the plain meaning of words. “Violence” is speech when committed by Black Lives Matter, and “speech” is violence when it comes from Trumpers.
Political opposition from Republican members of Congress is deemed “sedition” and 74 million Trump voters are blithely smeared as White supremacists.
Unfortunately, this radical talk is accompanied by equally radical plans. The Dems aim to use the coronavirus and the riot as Trojan horses to expand government power and shrink individual freedoms in a push toward socialism. Election safeguards are being permanently dismantled. To underscore the sweeping nature of what is coming, Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., a member of “The Squad,” tweeted Thursday that “There will be no reset button. No return to normal. The status quo was unjust in the first place.”
=============================
So, Bush used the Patriot Act and the Dems are going to use Covid and the “so called” riot to squash even more personal freedoms. Damn..I am glad that I live in Texas where we do not give a shit what Washington says.
Yes……Trumpism will be difficult to remove. Yes…..a far-left progressive movement waits for the sliver of light to embed itself in that void. Yes…..a status quo led by status relics (McConnell, Graham, Schumer, Pelosi) has the steering wheel – desperate to convince us once more they have answers they’ve had before. More cynicism please.
Don’t worry, Ray.. the old guard has to die off at some point..
No… I suppose you’re right.. I don’t believe this.. you old farts are probably going to hang on forever sponging off the system, demanding socialism for yourselves, and voting to deny it to everyone else.
Did you attend public schools? Drive on public roads? Benefit from Social Security? Use Medicare? Or Medicaid? Or Unemployment Insurance? Or visit a national park? Maybe you’ve seen a police car at some point? Or a fire truck? There are libraries and foster systems and public hospitals. The Post Office exists. We have eminent domain and a progressive income tax system. We have a million different kinds of subsidies, including many that go directly to the people who are the most adamantly anti-socialism. Hell, even on a state by state basis, we pay into the system according to our ability and receive according to ours need – resulting in wealthy (blue) states subsidizing poorer (red) states. Need I go on?
We’re all socialists. It’s only a question of degrees.
I might agree with you if my private investments had not outperformed my Social Security investments at least fivefold. Since at least college ’64-’68 I have felt that while there should probably be some type of minimal income protection for the elderly, taking what they took from me would have been better invested elsewhere.
Now, I understand the WHY, because not everyone had the good fortune to be raised by Nick and Paula Trynosky or in my wife’s case by Joe and Julia O’Donnell who certainly brought home to US the value of a buck. So, from an early age, we were savers. Hell, I had $ 5,000 in the bank when I GRADUATED college! All summer, weekend and afterschool jobs. Throw in school time and I was doing 80 hour weeks!
BUT, we were an aberration in our generation. I had a Sister and my wife has one too. Neither ever met a dollar they couldn’t spend faster than they earned it.
I had a Sister and my wife has one too. Neither ever met a dollar they couldn’t spend faster than they earned it.
I’ve got some of those, too… a whole bunch of ’em get their whole lives paid for by my parents, living in luxury, never working a serious day in their lives… and then they get stimulus checks to boot! One is in 5-digit debt to my parent and still living a carefree jetsetting lifestyle. Well, you know what? Fuck ’em. Bunch of parasites.
I’ve got the savings that I EARNED… and I am beholden to no one (except my wife).
The presidential inauguration is coming up, and we’re here to educate our readers! To help make you a more informed American citizen, we researched and found the 7 most important facts about the presidential inauguration you probably didn’t know.
Inaugurations were invented by slave owners. Bet you didn’t know that, did you? Participation in a presidential inauguration is LITERALLY endorsing slavery. It’s important we remember this as Biden is inaugurated this week. It might as well be a KKK meeting.
The inauguration is basically just a Presidential initiation. Expect a lot of hazing from Trump and Pence, such as stuffing Biden in a locker or making him chug some nasty liquid while they wear hoods and recite the “Presidential Fraternity Chant.”
On the day of the inauguration, Trump has two more chances to overturn the election. The first is if he stands up and yells “I OBJECT!” when Chief Justice Roberts says “speak now, or forever hold your peace.” If Trump fails to do that, he will have to recite the reverse inauguration incantation before Biden can complete the spell, solidifying his rule as President.
To show he is the President for all Americans, Biden will swear in on copies of both The Communist Manifesto and Mein Kampf since those books fully represent the entire ideology of the opposing political views in America.
It’s frowned on to eat a large hoagie while taking the oath of office. Teddy Roosevelt was the last president to do this.
According to trusted sources, it’s totally common for the President to be inaugurated while sitting in a rocking chair, confused about what’s going on, forced to be woken up multiple times, and his speech to be cut short. Don’t worry– this is completely normal!
Biden is known to be the most beloved candidate in American history. Officials are expecting a record crowd of 30,000 fully armed Biden supporters at this year’s event.
That’s all you need to know! Enjoy the festivities!
Your opinion on a 100% purely hypothetical question, sir.
You are tasked with securing a number of VIPs in hostile territory. Amongst your VIPs are one or two who are more very-important than others.
A number of hostiles (of varying levels of competence and hostility and threat-levels – full details undetermined) breach your facility. You the doors and secure the room where your VIPs are located. Your available forces are minimal and insufficient to guarantee the protection of the VIPs – evasion and stalling for reinforcements is your best option.
At this point, one of the less important VIPs publicly broadcasts that you have locked the VIPs in the main room. This message was publicly broadcast without any encryption or security on a channel regularly monitored by the hostiles. It was immediately and readily viewable by the hostiles freely roaming the halls of your facility. This person has just confirmed for the hostiles where the VIPs are located. This information was (probably) known or suspected, but is nonetheless now confirmed.
You make the decision to extract one of the very-VIPs from the main room to relocate to a safer location.
As soon as you remove that V-VIP, the lesser VIPs sends out another message: “The Colonel has removed the V-VIP from the main room.” Though this does not disclose the destination, I’m sure you understand the tactical implications.
You, Mr. The Colonel, tasked with securing your VIPs and V-VIPs and the general facility have to evaluate what to make of this and how to proceed.
Given the above, what is your evaluation of the situation and of the lesser-VIP?
Let us imagine that you are operating in Afghanistan, attempting to provide security for a meeting of (often warring) tribal leaders representing two main factions. They have assembled to nominate a leader for a unified government.
For further color, the Lesser-VIP in question is a known militant member of the same faction as the hostiles. Additionally, in the absence of a significant disruption, this faction is expected to lose power and control of the country to their much-hated rivals.
I suggest everybody re-read the Declaration of Independence especially what “old George” did to cause the chaos. I was struck the other day when the troop strength reached 25,000. Occupy Boston, occupy DC, not a hell of a lot of difference. .
So yesterday we saw that the Horn man on the floor of the House was real, no violence, an armed escort no less yet surprisingly on MSM, bupkis! A good video is worth repeating!
If we’re talking about the same video, I saw this too.
I also would like to note that, even though he was in the midst of committing sedition, the Lt. Colonel took pains to try to be respectful to the office of the Vice President and to the chamber itself. Something like “please do not sit there, that chair does not belong to us, it belongs to the Vice President.” And he also made a point of trying to keep people respectful and polite toward the officer who was asking them to leave “he’s trying to do his duty.”
I mean, he shouldn’t have been there in the first place, but he handled the situation well and helped prevent it from escalating. So, you know, credit where it’s due.
Then again, he still brought zip-cuffs while storming the capitol… so, you know, he’s probably going spend the next decade-plus in jail.
Viking guy just seemed nuts. And, by the way, having a prayer in “invoking Jesus’ name” at the dais is just freaking me out.
Then again, he still brought zip-cuffs while storming the capitol… so, you know, he’s probably going spend the next decade-plus in jail. If you are going to give him some credit, then give him the same in that he just might be telling the truth…he said he did not bring them but picked them up off the floor. Still….he had them. But, if he was trying to de-escalate the situation in one instance, perhaps pickling them up kept them out of the hands of another?
That both are pieces of shit doing maximally “lawful but awful” things unless or until I am shown otherwise?
But, if he was trying to de-escalate the situation in one instance, perhaps pickling them up kept them out of the hands of another?
It’s a bit of a stretch… but this video does revise down my view of him.. I will reserve judgement on whether he deserves to spend the next decade in prison until I know more.. but I retain my position that he probably will spend the next decade in prison nonetheless.
WASHINGTON, D.C.—President Trump is taking heavy criticism for loudly denouncing the incoming Biden administration and not just spying on them as other presidents have done in the past. The nation is demanding that Trump remain “presidential” by appearing to say nice things about the incoming president and secretly try to undermine his next four years in office.
“Trump is being really unpresidential in the way he handled this transition of power. He should have just spied on the incoming administration like a normal president,” said one CNN commentator. “This is just a blatant attack on our norms. When Obama left office, he called for peace and unity in public and did his dirty work in secret. That’s the way we like our politicians here in this country: publicly honorable, secretly conniving. It’s just a really bad look for Trump to actually say what he’s thinking, and we don’t stand for that in Washington.”
This isn’t the first time Trump has come under fire for not being presidential, as he also didn’t start any new wars or drone strike enough American citizens to really fill the big shoes of the men who came before him.
For Ray…….Good morning, my friend. I will try to answer your questions to the best of my ability, remembering that I am an old fart.
Hi Colonel – comment of your caught my eye….”No one should ever question the loyalty or professionalism of the Texas National Guard”. This is what Gov Abbott said, and I agree with him on the following basis. The Texas National Guard has a continuing vetting process that occurs. EER’s (Enlisted Evaluation Reports) and OER’s (Officer Evaluation Reports) are constantly scrutinized as you cannot get promoted without favorable ratings. In these evaluations, the guard recognizes the fact that 95% of these troops are citizen soldiers…meaning they hold full time jobs outside the Guard. If they are on any social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc) their accounts are routinely monitored for postings. If you are for or against any public figure publicly, you will be counseled not to take sides publicly nor do you reveal your political nor religious affiliation. It is often said, that it is harder to get into the Texas National Guard than the regular military because of the vetting system. The vetting system even goes back to high school and juvenile records are not kept secret from scrutiny. You will get one warning and only one….otherwise you are dismissed from the guard for failing to follow lawful orders under the UCMJ. AND, most likely, with a general or dishonorable discharge which will stay with you for life. For three years, I sat on the vetting council for incoming junior officers or officer candidates. Even being a member of Common cause or Amnesty International will deny your application.
Correct
Its never about doubting loyalty or professionalism. This statement was issued by a Tennessee democratic Senator, who also said that any Trump supported should be excluded from any security detail. He doubted the professionalism and the loyalty.
Abbott is jackass as much as it asinine that we’re here. But we’re here.
Your final statement also puzzles me a little…….SecDef says no active threats (insider). Lets assume that’s true. The article that you read was copied verbatim. I did not say this
SecDef (active) would never mislead us. I wish I could believe that. I am very skeptical on appointed positions now days. No matter whom is in charge.
Yes, I agree that this happens. What is the actual point you are trying to make here.
I’m not sure if you’re arguing against any presence versus the size of it? Absence any credible threat, I will argue against the presence of any military unit being used a security on a Federal Level. But, this is why they are using Guard troops because they can avoid Posse Commitus because the Guard troops are volunteers. In Texas, for instance, Abbott authorized the use of 1,000 troops…..not ordered but authorized and the instructions to the units are that they must be volunteer. I was vehemently against it but I am just a mere Colonel under contract with the Guard. I will say this, that the Governor did hear and understand my objection ( I am high enough and my opinion is actually valued ) but his response was that with some of the Covid problems, there are some troops that could use the money. Please understand, that the Federal government is not paying any of these guard troops. All National Guard troops are paid by the state. This also avoids the look of Posse commitus. But my official position is that I am against any use of troops without a National Emergency being declared.
I assume at the border you cease patrols until you have an active threat. I assume also you don’t smash a thumbtack with a sledge hammer. You would be wrong here. We patrol the border on a routine basis and we have 7,000 troops assigned to this. This is no secret. We have armored units, drones, aircraft, and gunboats on the river. The old Vietnam style gunboats. Our patrols are centered on gun running and human trafficking. If we find the drugs, of course, we stop them. All guard units have arrest and detainment powers and we carry live ammunition and we return fire greater than we receive it. It has had a positive effect by diverting most of the crossings to Arizona and California. Since 93% of the border is private land, we have empowered and supplied the ranchers with what they need and it supplements greatly to the presence of troops. A great workable solution….and it works. We do not SMASH the thumbtack with a hammer but we do use the hammer to tap the thumbtack and then smash it when necessary. Our border violence his reduced to almost nothing.
Yes, but I fear that it is something much larger…it is a message to all….think like we do or this is the future.
Hope I have answered your questions…..now, on to Mathius’ almost impossible hypothetical question.
I remind the non-military types out there that the military obeys the orders of the Commander in Chief when lawful but owes its allegiance to the Constitution of the United States first and foremost.
The current debates, ranging from Pelosi asking the Pentagon to intervene in the removal of POTUS to possible skullduggery within the National Guard brings into VERY CLEAR FOCUS why the founders distrusted a standing Army.
You are tasked with securing a number of VIPs in hostile territory. Amongst your VIPs are one or two who are more very-important than others. Understood
A number of hostiles (of varying levels of competence and hostility and threat-levels – full details undetermined) breach your facility. I will play along. This would not have happened under my watch, but shall assume that it did.
You the doors and secure the room where your VIPs are located. Your available forces are minimal and insufficient to guarantee the protection of the VIPs – evasion and stalling for reinforcements is your best option. ok, this would not happen but I am still playing along here…..so, the inference is that I have NO choice but to stall. (Reminds me of Vietnam..always outnumbered.)
Whoooeee….very interesting, but I could see this happening.
You make the decision to extract one of the very-VIPs from the main room to relocate to a safer location. Ok…got it
As soon as you remove that V-VIP, the lesser VIPs sends out another message: “The Colonel has removed the V-VIP from the main room.” Though this does not disclose the destination, I’m sure you understand the tactical implications. ok. Got it
You, Mr. The Colonel, tasked with securing your VIPs and V-VIPs and the general facility have to evaluate what to make of this and how to proceed. This is what we call mission essential
Given the above, what is your evaluation of the situation and of the lesser-VIP? ok, so mission essential. (1) Isolate the security leak. (2) VVIP (not expendable) more essential than VIP (expendable). (3) Because the location was “confirmed” you move the location or you move only the asset you deem essential. (4) If area cannot be secured at all, you move the asset to the most secure area without disclosing it to the rest. (We do not call them people, they are called assets. No personalized feelings here). (5) Find your best defensible location while awaiting reinforcement. (6) protect VVIP at all costs…lesser assets are expendable including general facility.
I would view this as no different than a hilltop or a road crossing or bridge. It is what is mission essential.
Tactical assessment seems on point (as expected) and I agree that you would never have allowed yourself into this situation in the first place. THAT SAID…
If we might drill down a bit..
What is your assessment of this Lesser-VIP who is leaking openly broadcasting information disadvantageous to your mission? Do you think this an “accidental slip up” by a moron or a deliberate leak by a hostile agent? Does it make a difference to you?
You say you could see this happening… Aside from the fact that you would surely have destroyed the asset’s comms device after the first message (or used it to broadcast disinformation), what do you make of this asset in general? Do you deem it hostile? Has it become an enemy combattant due to the risk posed to your other (and higher priority) assets? Do you bind and gag it and shove it in a broom closet? Do you summarily execute it on the spot? It is only one of ~500 such assets (and one of the least important) and is putting the rest at risk. Even if you destroy the comm device, that does not mean it will not betray you in another manner at the first opportunity. You do not have the spare manpower to assign a babysitter. Reinforcements are still TBD.
You are the commander on the ground and there are no instructions available from higher-ups at this time. What is going through the mind of The Colonel?
Assuming you make it out of this alive, what will you say about this asset in your official (and unofficial) report?
Interesting questions,,,,Why am I looking over my shoulder? Why do I feel like that I am giving away a game plan for future reference? Or could it be testing the waters to see if I can become an asset,,,,,,hmmmm.
What is your assessment of this Lesser-VIP who is leaking openly broadcasting information disadvantageous to your mission? One assumption here, if this asset that leaked the info, and I would consider it a leak, had a great reputation and I knew he just screwed up…nothing. Accidents and slip ups DO happen…. if I did not know this individual or he was new to the staff or just assigned, he would be isolated.
Do you think this an “accidental slip up” by a moron or a deliberate leak by a hostile agent? Does it make a difference to you? It would make a difference, absolutely. You can read tell tale signs of a honest leak or a perp. If it were on purpose and there was no doubt about , he would be “detained” rather abruptly and securely.
You say you could see this happening… Aside from the fact that you would surely have destroyed the asset’s comms device after the first message (or used it to broadcast disinformation), what do you make of this asset in general? for want of a better word….spy
Do you deem it hostile? Without a doubt
Has it become an enemy combattant due to the risk posed to your other (and higher priority) assets? Yes
Do you bind and gag it and shove it in a broom closet? In none war times…yes. In war time, no….get rid of the asset as if it were a roach.
Do you summarily execute it on the spot? If I knew I was about to be over run or lose the asset, yes, it is eliminated. If the asset could be detained, then it could become our asset or water boarded for information.
It is only one of ~500 such assets (and one of the least important) and is putting the rest at risk. Even if you destroy the comm device, that does not mean it will not betray you in another manner at the first opportunity. You must assume betrayal. this is why you isolate it from everything.
You do not have the spare manpower to assign a babysitter. Reinforcements are still TBD. Herein lies the tough part and tough decisions. I will answer this in this manner….In war, if I had captured a soldier and I was in imminent danger of being over run or captured myself…eliminate them on the spot. If I knew that there were no reinforcements on the spot or within a reasonable time, eliminate them on the spot. In combat, you did not capture the enemy if you could not feed them or guard them. You did not allow surrender. So, the asset becomes expendable.
You are the commander on the ground and there are no instructions available from higher-ups at this time. What is going through the mind of The Colonel? BEEN THERE…..this is where the shit hits the proverbial fan and it makes for decisions that you have to live with forever. I would immediately eliminate the asset if there was no other way out…even if unarmed and even if wounded.
Assuming you make it out of this alive, what will you say about this asset in your official (and unofficial) report? The truth. There is no unofficial report. Always the truth even up to the point of summary execution. You set the rules above when you said “I was the Commander on the ground with no higher up authority.”….that is tantamount to…it is your call. This is what leadership is about. Many times a commander 50 miles away from the fracas will say…it is your call because he is not there to see …..so, in a command structure, we know that we will have to make the call 90 percent of the time. My first responsibility is to the mission and my second responsibility will be to my personnel.
Allow me another analogy, sir…….as a civilian pilot and when in the air. the PIC (Pilot in Command) has final say so even if the air traffic control says not to do it. The controller IS NOT in the cockpit. He is not flying the plane. I have the same rights and responsibility as the commercial pilot carrying 300 persons. We have final say…full stop. It works the same on the ground when it becomes “my call.”
I honestly and sincerely appreciate your views as this is a perspective I do not have (and hope never to have).
That said………..
Why am I looking over my shoulder?
Maybe because of something like this..?
Rep Lauren Boebert, a QAnon supporting new congresswoman (R-CO), posted the above tweets during the riot / insurrection at the capitol. As I’m sure you know, she is well aligned with the more radical side of the pro-Trump faction.
As described in the above scenario, there was a breach in the facility by forces of various levels of hostility and competence, the defensive force was inadequate to the job of stopping them, at 2:13 Congress goes into recess and lockdown in the main chamber with the doors barred, at 2:16 Rep Boebert tweets out this fact, [time unknown] Pelosi was removed [to a more secure location], at 2:17 Rep Boebert tweeted out this fact as well.
Disclaimer:Now, having dug into the timeline a bit more than I previously had, I suppose I should flag that 2:16 and 2:17 while technically two messages may easily be construed as a single message in two parts. It, therefore, seems unreasonable to me to construe this as a repeated offense rather than a single office. Both "leaks" occurred as described and contained the sensitive information I described, but it would be inaccurate to consider it a single event.
Rep Boebert (falsely) claims that her tweets came afterward, but the timeline clearly shows that they came within minutes of the events in question. She further asserts (correctly) that she did not disclose secure locations, but I think we both would consider her statements critical security leaks despite this. It may or may not be pertinent that she tweeted out “today is 1776” that morning or that there are photos of her with individuals who later participated in the breach.
Given what you have said, and given what happened here with Rep Boebert, what are your thoughts?
Clarifying my typos… I would consider the two tweets “one event” or “one leak.” Though there were two tweets, coming back-to-back as did makes them a single contiguous action in my opinion. I do not know how (if at all) this will impact your opinion of these events. Feel free to factor it in as you would in Afghanistan.
But in doing so, you know that I do not measure things the same way….if you remove her, you have to remove all the false flag tweets and messages on Russia Collusion from the house Democratic side. I view the Russia issue a coup attempt…you view the Capitol even as an insurrection attempt……place dose not matter…the bottom line matters….whether a soft coup or a hard line insurrection, in the world of the Colonel…they carry the same weight.
Being shot in the head with .22 caliber is the same as being shot in the head with a .44 Magnum……the end result is the same.
Remove her… ok… the fact that she’s a Q-nut is a good reason enough.. but I’m looking specifically at her actions on the 6th.
Do you consider her actions (A) criminal or (B) morally outrageous?
Do her actions that day merit removal and/or criminal charges?
She’s one of the ones I expect to be fed into the political woodchipper before this is all over. A sacrifice to appease the masses and shield those who are actually in power.
Just thinking about what you’ve said here… I don’t want to put words in your mouth.. but thinking it over and reading and re-reading…
If you were the on-the-ground commander of the capitol police force within the capitol during these events… severity, competence, and extent of the threat presently unknown… after you’d herded everyone into the main chambers.. after you’d extricated Pelosi to a more secure location.. after Boebert fires off her tweets from which you characterized her as “without a doubt” hostile… without the manpower to take and hold her as an asset.. and without the surety of timely reinforcements……. “I would immediately eliminate the asset if there was no other way out…even if unarmed and even if wounded”…
……… are you saying you’d have summarily executed a seated member of congress in order to achieve your mission of securing the rest of congress?
are you saying you’d have summarily executed a seated member of congress in order to achieve your mission of securing the rest of congress? No sir, you used the term buildings and facility…I even asked you if this was inauguration related and you said no. So, I assumed an on ground commander other than the Capitol….and you used VIP and VVIP…..you did not use names. Now you have moved the goal posts are asking me to re-kick.
So, we are now talking about the actual instance at hand…..given your scenario, I would have removed Boebert from the chambers and locked the door. She would not be protected nor would she have been part of any future protections and movements. Then, let the Senate deal with her later on if she survived being in general population. If there is a rotten apple on the tree, remove the apple and build a fence around the tree. Throw the rotten apple outside the fence and do not cut down the tree.
Also, before you ask…..no matter my support of Trump, if I were in charge that day, I would have protected Pelosi and the other scum to the best of my ability and would have thrown the Senator from the Chamber.
So, we are now talking about the actual instance at hand…..given your scenario, I would have removed Boebert from the chambers and locked the door. She would not be protected nor would she have been part of any future protections and movements.
So… more or less equivalent to my “gag her and shove her in a broom closet” suggestion?
Also, before you ask…..no matter my support of Trump, if I were in charge that day, I would have protected Pelosi and the other scum to the best of my ability and would have thrown the Senator from the Chamber.
Of this, I have absolutely no doubt.
But if you saw fit to gag Pelosi.. you know.. for “security reasons”.. I’m sure no one here would fault you.
Here’s the REAL reason for all the NG in DC. There is NO threat, credible or not. It has been locked down because if it weren’t, the public could see how few people showed up. 80 million votes my ass. He will have more of an audience with the NG with this shitshow they are putting on because they know they couldn’t get 10K to show up, unless they paid them.
It has been locked down because if it weren’t, the public could see how few people showed up.
That’s nonsense.
There’s a pandemic going on. Of course, there aren’t going to be massive wall-to-wall crowds from the team which believes the pandemic is a real thing.
Biden’s crowd will be the smallest (by far) in modern history. Everyone knows this, and no one expects otherwise.
Even if there were no pandemic, it would still be far smaller than Trump’s and far, far smaller than Obama’s because nobody outside of his immediate family is actually “enthusiastic” about a President Biden.
That said, I have no idea what the Red Team’s obsession is with dick-measuring over things like this. No one would give a shit that Obama had a bigger inauguration than Trump if Trump hadn’t started day one of his Presidency gaslighting the American public with demonstrably false self-aggrandizing bullshit. Of COURSE he had a smaller crowd… he’s a white Republican vs the first black Democrat in an overwhelmingly liberal city made up of something like 50% black people. If the inauguration were held in East Texas, Trump would have trounced Obama. These kinds of metrics mean absolutely nothing, so why do you people obsess over them?
It has been locked down because if it weren’t, the public could see how few people showed up.
The reason it’s locked down is 97.5% show of force and political point-scoring along the lines of “those damned Red Hats are so violent and criminal that they made us do this!” And just posturing of the typical variety.
And 2.5% deterrence in case anyone does get a bright idea.
80 million votes my ass.
Eighty-one, actually.
That’s just over 7mm more than Trump, for those keeping score.
For anyone to accuse anyone of sedition and/or insurrection over the Jan 5th event is absolutely ABSURD. Without weapons what could they possibly expect to accomplish?
To take the words of the Congresswoman from Colorado as anything other than a call to action NOT ARMS is also absurd. Fire her AFTER you fire all the congresspersons, Mayors and Governors who advocated for violent “peaceful” protest last summer.
A proper analogy would be some dumb European soccer game. .01% goes there prepared for trouble should the “Manchester Guardians” lose and they rile up .04% more. End result 5,10,15 or 20 DEAD.
This is a report from our local “News” source on an event to celebrate MLK Day in lower Manhattan last night. You must READ it, then keep in mind that NYC has the most progressive Mayor in its history, this occurred in lower Manhattan by City Hall, and the NYC Police Force is almost exactly 50% minority. Such “slanted” reporting is the norm on everything these days. My High School School Newspaper faculty adviser would have fired us on the spot for an atrocity like this.
The “oath” taken by servicemembers 1884 to 1959. It applied to all officers, NCO’s and Enlisted members.
“I, A.B., do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.”
The “new” oath for enlisted personnel. Note the difference.
“I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.”
Eisenhower warns us of the Military Industrial Complex then allows THAT change. I guess he was golfing or napping.
If the best thing that can be said about an action is “well your side does it, too,” then that’s a sure admission that it’s wrong and you’re just excusing it as though two wrongs did, in fact, make a right. Which they don’t.
Trump’s pardon are sure to cause more Liberal angst. The names do not matter, even an empty list would not matter, Liberals have been crying for 4 plus years, and will probably cry going forward about something Trump. TDS will live on, you Mathius, have it. There is no vaccine. It will continue into the future and when the new political party is announced, the Left will shit in their panties.
As far as who got pardoned, lucky them, I hope they make good in the future.
Sir Mathius……first, on pardons…..I do not like them from any POTUS. I have no reference to the types of pardons nor do I care. I did not care about the Obama pardons either nor the ones before him. All Presidential pardons are the same….nonsense.
Second, you are in trouble……you are not going to get rid of me very quickly. I just returned from my full physical….All numbers are in the green, CT scan normal, I even had a brain, MRI all normal except for the shrapnel I still carry around, mental fitness is normal, I still speak in coherent sentences and I do not drag my knuckles……I am not suicidal and I do not suffer from either Trump derangement nor Biden/Harris derangement. There was a little blip in there when I mentioned your name but then the blip went away when I mention about the Dread Pirate….so I guess they cancelled each other out.
Of interesting note, however……the doctor asked me if I wanted a flu shot…I answered no, I never take flu shots and never had the flu. The doctor asked me if I wanted a Covid series and I said no. The doctor asked me if I wanted the Shingles Shot..i said yes. Then I asked the doctor if he had taken the flu or the Covid…he laughed and said no and that he is not going to take any of them. He went on to say, I am not an epidemiologist but I am a pretty damned good doctor and I do not, yet, trust the serums. Then he went on to say, those that tell you that this same Covid series will also attack and help with any of the new strains…do not know what they are talking about. The new strains are NEW….not yet tested.
He did not pardon Assange which is too bad. He did not pardon himself or his family which will disappoint the media since they now have nothing to cry about. He could have pardoned Joe Biden and Hunter Biden which would have done two things, thrown a guilt cloud over the Biden corruption while freeing the new president to come into office unfettered by the kind of investigations that plagued Trump. I do not see any evidence that he sold pardons like Bill Clinton did. He did not pardon boat loads of criminals like Obama did just to stick it to the Justice department. All in all, quite normal and acceptable but I am sure the MSM will make something of it.
You know… I was 17 when Clinton left office, so I admit to not being that politically aware at the time. (though I did attend the 2000 Democratic Convention in LA)
So, honestly, I wasn’t paying much attention to Clinton’s pardons. What proof was there that he sold pardons? I’ve seen allegations that Trump was selling them, but the evidence has been so flimsy and hearsay that I haven’t bothered to credit it.
I STILL do NOT know why I have to do your homework for you. Chicago Trib, you can check the other pardons yourself as well as the “selling” of the privilege to sleep in the Lincoln Bedroom and the final disgrace, the stealing of the White House China.
Whenever dealing with the Clintons, remember the old adage, “You can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear”. NB:, Hillary is back to accusing Trump of colluding with Putin to stage the Jan. 6 riot! Guess the document dump on the Russia hoax must worry her about her legacy.
Yeah. What G and T-Ray said. I have a huge sore spot about Kwame Freakin Kilpatrick. That SOB better stay in Texas with his family and not step foot back on the streets of Detroit.
I do just wonder… of all the people in the world you can pardon.. why do you pardon a politician convicted of corruption?
Of everyone who needs to have the book thrown at them be bludgeoned by the book, corrupt politicians need it the absolute most. How is it – and this isn’t a Trump specific question – but how is it that a corrupt ex-mayor finds himself on the shortlist for a pardon by a President over, say, any number of the millions of people who are more deserving of clemency?
There have to be a million people serving decades-long sentences for nonviolent crimes or for smoking pot in places where it is now legal. Or, hell, just sweep the list for the entire backlog of the Innocence Project. Just give them a call, have them fax over their client list, and stamp the whole thing. Done.
I mean, PRESIDENT Mathius would sooner pardon Joe Exotic than a politician convicted of corruption.
Frankly, corruption by a politician should be a capital offense (ehh.. let’s say life sentence w/o parole). There should be no mercy – NONE – for these people. And I do not give two shits white side of the political aisle they’re on.
I’ll ship it off to the gulag just as soon as I can get a replacement.
what do you mean WHITE side?
Frankly, corruption by a politician should be a capital offense (ehh.. let’s say life sentence w/o parole). There should be no mercy – NONE – for these people. And I do not give two shits whiteWHICH side of the political aisle they’re on.
There is no way I can follow DC politics with these kind of clowns in charge. I honestly just don’t care. Someone please let me know if I need to get in a bunker.
THAT is one thing that people need to keep firing at congress. They live in their own bubble, clueless to the beat of main street. They have no connection to the people. Its sad.
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Authorities in D.C. have erected a large 12-foot fence around the Capitol, which will be guarded by thousands of soldiers. A study has found that the majority of Americans support making the wall around the Capitol permanent to keep the politicians corralled in there.
In spite of the precautions, many Americans are worried that still may not be enough to keep the politicians confined safely inside or prevent them from interfering in everyone’s lives.
“I would feel much better knowing that all the politicians are safely locked away in the Capitol building where they can’t bother anyone,” said local citizen Bart McNally, “but is the fence really enough? Sure, it may be hard to climb over it, but what’s gonna stop one of them from slithering underneath it like a little lizard?”
Many citizens across the country are proposing greater safety measures to ensure none of the slimy swamp creatures are able to escape. Suggestions include drone patrols, electrified razor wire, and 50-foot solid concrete walls with giant steel doors that lock from the outside.
“We can’t be too careful,” said McNally. “If even one of them manages to escape, the destruction could be catastrophic”
WASHINGTON, D.C.—In a moving display of support for incoming president Joe Biden, eleven flags were planted in the National Mall to represent the average number of supporters he was able to round up for a rally during his campaign.
The spectacle made a powerful statement to the nation, showing everybody just how amazingly popular and beloved our new president is.
“This is about how many people would be here if D.C. weren’t locked down,” said an inaugural team member as he solemnly planted a flag into the grass along the National Mall. “Look at this beautiful display of support for the most popular president in history! Truly a beloved president and spectacular leader.”
The flags were appropriately socially distanced and roughly looked like bored rally attendees watching Biden ramble incoherently. Many witnesses say the flags actually looked a little more lively than a Biden crowd, since they at least could flutter in the breeze and weren’t able to fall asleep.
At publishing time, seven of the flags had been stolen and three others had been knocked over.
The hidden magic secret is when you lower taxes and kickstart the economy to the point where muy mucho money rolls in, SAVE IT. Three times now, Kennedy, Reagan and Trump we had teh opportunity to lower debt and just blew it. R’s and D’s.
Not even talking about that. Am talking about the amount of new tax revenue which pour in. Besides I believe that your comment indicates that you think people bury their money in teh backyard instead of spending it.
This past year, with the panicdemic, plus stimulus payments we had quite a “surplus:” Did not make me rich but I spent every penny on home improvements and new furniture. American made I might add. Besides the government money we added teh five or so thousand dollars we would have spent on the cancelled cruises.
The stats say that Kennedy, Reagan and Trump, the tax money rolled in.
Following rules set by Democrats, after Joe Biden’s inauguration, conservatives have immediately begun holding him responsible for every future COVID death in America.
“Biden said during his campaign that Trump was responsible for every American who died from coronavirus,” tweeted Ryan Saavedra. “Biden will be held to the same standard.”
And darkness fell upon the land, with huge clouds that raced across the sky
The world was cloaked in a blackness so deep that the people could not see
Fear was strong enough to smell
Watching their neighbours, they backed away and hid in case they gave a part of them that could make them die
Fear that became as dangerous as the blackness that held them all in awe
Warmongers and harbingers of doom flew to the fore
Spouting out lies and words of admonition, none of them informed all taking their places on the stage, creating a web of lies and laughing behind their backs
And the people would now starve or so they thought and it made them angry and they fought
Each other mindlessly for food
Although there was no famine or drought and although their actions were foolish and they knew
They lost their senses and could not stop themselves
And the war raged on
But some of these people caught hold of the tail of Hope, seeing a light in the far distance and clung on for dear life
Though water rose to drown them they raised up and up towards the sun with hands that held each other and held on tight
Reason came like a shining beacon and they sang out and called to each other to make others hear
And finally, as they continued towards the shining sliver of safety, they raised their voices to cry
We will win this battle, we are strong and brave and wise, and not foolhardy any more
“a very large number of violent Trump supporters forced their way into the Capitol intent on an insurrection. That conclusion assumes an awful lot of facts not in evidence”
But, but but….. it was coup attempt, just look at cuff man or buffalo head! We would never assume facts not in evidence here at SUFA.
Sorry this goes with the previous post. Also only 3 people inside the Capitol died in the incursion, Ms. Babbitt, the officer and one lady that got trampled. The fourth was a heart attack and the last a suicide on a later date.
Listened to some of Joe Biden’s speech on the radio. So eloquent. I am so ecstatic we now have such a brilliant and articulate man in the POTUS chair. Such big words and lofty phrases, …………………. all mashed together in a meaningless gushing of sugary goo.
SUBSTANCE?
My sides hurt from ROTFLMAO all after noon.
Rumor has it that Joe Biden bent over to pick up a pen and broke the necks on half the press corp.
John Brennan: Biden intel community “are moving in laser-like fashion to try to uncover as much as they can about” the pro-Trump “insurgency” that harbors “religious extremists, authoritarians, fascists, bigots, racists, nativists, even libertarians”
Say it ain’t so………… my GOD………….NOT THE LIBERTARIANS. We are doomed for certain.
Will the armed protests happen?
No, they never were going to happen but the FBI needed something to regain some of their popularity ….it is not working.

It does not…
This is just the next step in the narrative that Conservatives are violent and dangerous. This is looking like an agenda, which will likely end up with the Left screaming for gun control after some event down the road. What might that event be? Political assassination? School shooting? We will see.
To Sir Mathius…….
That about sums it up.
Thanks for saving me from wasting time on this Q Anon BS.
Let’s start a rumor that Q is Russian disinformation meant to confuse and rile up the left.
It probably is Russian disinformation meant to rile up whoever it can rile up and make us all hate each other.
Ok, everybody on board for this one, I just gotta have some opinions. Going to disappear soon.
It seems there is something very wrong going on in DC.
As Leroy Jethro Gibbs might say, “Ya think?”. Pass THAT video on to everyone you know! Guy just got his get out of jail free card.
Been seeing lots of comments on this video, most of them saying this is all staged. Especially the fake southern accent guy who got shot in the face, with no evidence of blood .spewing anywhere.
Well. if that is staged then who is to say EVERYTHING has not been staged? As President Defect Biden might say, “C’Mon man”.
Then again with facial recognition software, we should be able to dismiss it pretty quickly, right? Especially the Capitol cop.
Also noticed FB has NOT flagged it fake .
Goes along with the link I posted above.
It sure is difficult for me to keep quiet because I still get to see the classified reports. Biting tongue off…
Ohman!!!! That really sucks. 🙂 🙂
Yes or no…I’m I going to like the ending?
grrr….AM I
Really Anita…..you have to try harder than that.
Drat. That’s as deep as my mind gets on these things. I’d be a total failure in DC. But I’m a damn loyal friend.
I’ll bet that the NG in DC will not have live ammo on the 20th.
I’ll take that action.
Of course, it was a failed coup attempt.
At least we all agree there was a coup. Stolen election was a coup just as much as thugs touring the capitol.
Don’t you know all those documents you see are just deep state propaganda that they want you to see? You can’t trust any of it.
We all know the truth of who was behind the capitol insurrection.
The only reason to doubt it is because it was so ineffectual… so, perhaps… there is different culprit.
Your dog now hates you!!!!!!
How the hell did that dread pirate canine get 193 views?
Ok, I got one for yas…
Why didn’t they just run Harris for the top spot? They rigged it to win anyway. Uncle Joe is just gonna Uncle Joe. He’s not making it the whole four years. So why not just run Harris?
Because, no matter how great a female candidate may be…I don’t think she wins for awhile. Get joe in…knock him off, or impeach him because of Hunter….voila. The glass ceiling is broken.
Maybe they didn’t want to have to rig the primary too?
https://www.baynews9.com/fl/tampa/ap-top-news/2021/01/15/extremists-exploit-a-loophole-in-social-moderation-podcasts
So comes the end of podcasts down the road.
They really won’t be happy until they can put people in concentration camps for having “wrong” ideas.
They still won’t be happy. I can’t wait til they start eating each other alive. Can’t blame us, or Trump, or anyone. The have the whole shebang.
I have a slim hope that they start eating each other immediately. Th first “caravan” ought to be interesting.
By the way, from this day forward, using “ridicule” as the left has taught me, henceforth and forever more, AOC will be referred to as “Hot Lips”.
henceforth and forever more, AOC will be referred to as “Hot Lips”.
Oh, man… I had such a crush on Hot Lips… that you see that as ridicule and not a compliment says something highly questionable about your taste in women.
I hated her voice. Ear piercing.
In looking at recent photos, AOC has toned down the red lipstick, unfortunately, but believe me there is no “dig” on Maj. Houlihan.
Wait a second.. that was the wrong image…
The next President:
I thought a coup was when a faction within the government or military attempts to unseat the current leader, not when a group of unarmed protesters breaks into the Capitol and takes selfies. Calling it a coup just seems silly and gives the whole thing way too much credit.
Jennie, you must read in between the lines….there was no coup but you have to say there was…look at the distraction that it is creating.
Someone tell me the difference……
It should not be asked, even in the military. Hmm, do we need a real coup to show them what a real one looks like?
You cannot be asked what persuasion you are but you can be asked if you are a conservative…..they are not asking if you are Republican…but if you are a conservative.
Hell, I’m a conservative.
… on certain topics.
Where is this happening, and who is doing the asking? Everyone in the military? Not that it’s appropriate in any circumstance, just curious.
================
Un-fucking believable….just ……………..well, hell it dos not even deserve a comment.
Like anyone would want to take out Joe, then they’d just get Kamala.
The entire purpose of nominating the President Defect was to get Cameeelyah!
Just this minute received my orders concerning the border……..grab the popcorn, folks.
I did not know you wore glasses……
Take a company of raptors with you. Don’t let them in. Wear a red hat, and MAGA ON!
😆
My guess is that much of your news will be classified. I’m getting some odd emails today about happenings forthcoming. Likely nothing, but interesting.
For example, 2K NG members being deputized by U.S. Marshals. Prolly for arrest powers, but without a credible threat ??????
National Guard can be deputized at any time by the governor….however, in the case of DC..I do not know that procedure.,,,,BUT, US Marshalls cannot do anything with any military.
I thought Marshalls were part of the court system not general law enforcement.
Thanks. I’m over all of it. If I get it, I get it.
Well Damn, is right. Praying for a quick recovery and then immunity.
Thanks V. I’ve been glaring at my phone, daring it to send a message from them. Just got a pic sent showing the grands at their computers and dad standing watch behind them. Stuffy noses and congestion seems to be the worst of it. At least everyone is vertical. One pic set my mind at ease.
Hey! Northville, Mi. Very close to me. High rent district. Back to Jaffy’s problems…
I see the First Lady dropped a departing message today. Gave me the sadz 😦
Yes, this is the person that conceded the 2016 election and acknowledges Trump is the legitimate president for a couple more days.

Thank you Tucker Carlson, from one of my not favorite people. Governor Huey Long.
Press question: “Do you think we will ever have Fascism in America?”
Answer: Said the Kingfish: “Sure, only we’ll call it anti-Fascism.”
The most guilty are the most paranoid.
FWIW….the Biden inauguration should have followed form to all that preceded it…..his rallies, pressers, victory celebrations……small, subdued, cut the fanfare, minimal pomp. That we have 20k+ troops in the capital for this “show” is dumb optic given how all that has happened before it.
Hey Ray!

NewsMax/OANN Big Lie-bullshit-
I don’t watch either of them, but how about backing that up with some facts.

ME: Mom, you know who the Texas Rangers are?
Mom: A bad baseball team!
Boy…ain’t that the truth….sort of Ironic, tho, the Captain of the real Texas Rangers supposedly sent a letter to the baseball team….win or change your name.
Very interesting article from CNN of all places.
=============================
Yes…..a far-left progressive movement waits for the sliver of light to embed itself in that void.
Don’t worry, Ray.. the old guard has to die off at some point..
Once the Boomers are gone and Gen-X and the Millenials hop in the drivers’ seat, this country is going to take a HARD left turn.
(here’s hoping, anyway)
You will eventually regret that.
Perhaps.
Perhaps we will go forward into a glorious future of a Worker’s Paradise?
We shall see, comrade.
Sir Mathius,,,,,,,,,,why are you trying to yank the chains…..(here’s hoping, anyway) you do not believe this anymore than I do.
you do not believe this anymore than I do.
Mathius said:
No… I suppose you’re right.. I don’t believe this.. you old farts are probably going to hang on forever sponging off the system, demanding socialism for yourselves, and voting to deny it to everyone else.
You lefties are so funny. You feel so virtuous when you proclaim yourselves socialists while enjoying all of the luxury that capitalism has provided.
The left is just more honest about this.
I have almost this exact verbatim conversation with my kids.
Mr. The Colonel,
Your opinion on a 100% purely hypothetical question, sir.
Wow……talk about hypothetical….I would suggest you are a remnant of the 60’s………HOWEVER, let me digest what you wrote and I will respond…
***Do I get my hypothetical raptors?
Hypothetical raptors can be part of your hypothetical reinforcements.
I await your analysis with bated breath.
One more question, your situation is not an inauguration, correct?
No.
This is, of course, purely hypothetical.
My two cents. Based on the people you are dealing with and their past track record, act accordingly.
See below
C’mon man, Mathius never jumps to conclusions. Just look at his stand on Hunter and Hillary. We must have proof beyond a reasonable doubt.
Just look at his stand on Hunter and Hillary.
I do not know why…..but I do not think so. I have no reason to base my hunch on except…ominous voices in the night.
Remember on Day ONE when I said: “I wonder what he was saying to the other guy he was looking at”?
Even without words, his face and body told me he was admonishing that other fella. Now we know he was.
Yes, but I fear that it is something much larger…it is a message to all….think like we do or this is the future.
Hope I have answered your questions…..now, on to Mathius’ almost impossible hypothetical question.
Regarding the issue of handcuffs, hostage taking and hanging VP Pence. Certainly cannot accuse CNN of being Brietbart, The Blaze or even Fox.
https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/15/politics/capitol-capture-assassinate-elected-officials/index.html?fbclid=IwAR30pVhdA69cRUqsHXScRKBH7Ov60EMTRGaLZSrwqJSwg-iWLwz5CVjvD9k
I remind the non-military types out there that the military obeys the orders of the Commander in Chief when lawful but owes its allegiance to the Constitution of the United States first and foremost.
The current debates, ranging from Pelosi asking the Pentagon to intervene in the removal of POTUS to possible skullduggery within the National Guard brings into VERY CLEAR FOCUS why the founders distrusted a standing Army.
but owes its allegiance to the Constitution of the United States first and foremost. Correct
Add this to “horn Man” Gonna be pretty hard charging “insurrection” even trespass when you link these all together.
Sir Mathius……………..this was fun.
Appreciate the overview.
Tactical assessment seems on point (as expected) and I agree that you would never have allowed yourself into this situation in the first place. THAT SAID…
If we might drill down a bit..
What is your assessment of this Lesser-VIP who is
leakingopenly broadcasting information disadvantageous to your mission? Do you think this an “accidental slip up” by a moron or a deliberate leak by a hostile agent? Does it make a difference to you?You say you could see this happening… Aside from the fact that you would surely have destroyed the asset’s comms device after the first message (or used it to broadcast disinformation), what do you make of this asset in general?
Thank you for your frank assessment.
Disclaimer:
Now, having dug into the timeline a bit more than I previously had, I suppose I should flag that 2:16 and 2:17 while technically two messages may easily be construed as a single message in two parts.
You answered the question…….”Rep Lauren Boebert, a QAnon supporting new congresswoman (R-CO)”
nuff said…….remove her.
If she goes so should Schiff and Swalwell.
Morally outrageous……removal….no criminal charge.
I honestly and sincerely appreciate your views as this is a perspective I do not have (and hope never to have)
Thank you for the kind words, sir, and thank you for knowing that I would be honest and truthful.
Colonel,
Just thinking about what you’ve said here… I don’t want to put words in your mouth.. but thinking it over and reading and re-reading…
Now you have moved the goal posts are asking me to re-kick.
Moi?
I even asked you if this was inauguration related
Did you ask that? I can’t recall.
Anyway, this was about counting the votes, not the inauguration.. <a href="https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/facebook/000/909/991/48c.jpg"so technically, I would be correct.
Looks like my keyboard sabatoged that link… trying again…
Anyway, this was about counting the votes, not the inauguration.. so technically, I would be correct.
If the inauguration were held in East Texas, Trump would have trounced Obama.
Central and West Texas….yes…..east Texas is Dallas/Houston…..not trounced…..beat up but not trounced.
Can’t wait to see how this is played out in the press……Texas guard pulled back home.
WOW….Nancy Pelosi just on tv announcing new “loyalty” oaths to be taken……
If to the Constitution, probably ok.. just theater.
Otherwise, it will just reinforce my opinion of her.
yeah…I do not know the particulars
Guess?
I fully expect you to sign. A personal oath to the Leader is required.
My High School School Newspaper faculty adviser would have fired us on the spot for an atrocity like this.
https://patch.com/new-york/washington-heights-inwood/s/he0ya/nypd-violently-clashes-with-mlk-march-29-arrested-reports?utm_source=alert-breakingnews&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=alert
Ya see, it NEVER will end. All misdirection all the time.

The “insurrectionists” in D.C. should be hanged……………. for failing to carry out their mission.
So you swear to support and defend a DOCUMENT, the meaning of which is determined by those set on changing its meaning.
HOW exactly to you defend the Constitution when in fact any action against those who wish to undermine it is ILLEGAL and UNCONSITUTIONAL?
Notice how the game is rigged? Some folks just figured that out long ago and devised ways to make it work to their advantage.
Anyone have any thoughts on the pardons?
Looks like any other Presidents list.
What I always love about these “no YOU” kinds of arguments is that it’s a tacit admission of wrongdoing.
If the best thing that can be said about an action is “well your side does it, too,” then that’s a sure admission that it’s wrong and you’re just excusing it as though two wrongs did, in fact, make a right. Which they don’t.
So.
Shall we try this again?
Does anyone have any thoughts on the pardons?
Sorry, let me rephrase:
6 riot! Guess the document dump on the Russia hoax must worry her about her legacy.
https://www.chicagotribune.com/sns-clinton-pardons-analysis-story.html
I STILL do NOT know why I have to do your homework for you.
Because I’m a lazy piece of shit.
Should NEVER admit this, at least until after you are retired!
I make up for it by being staggeringly efficient. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have time to play with you people.
Almost certainly apocrophal quote here…
Of everyone who needs to
have the book thrown at thembe bludgeoned by the book, corrupt politicians need it the absolute most.
I tend to agree on the corrupt politicians stuff.
It really doesn’t make any sense. Especially after the corrupt election machine in Detroit gave him the shiv.
And I do not give two shits white side of the political aisle they’re on.
Uh oh, this statemen t appears racist……what do you mean WHITE side?
My keyboard has betrayed me, yet again.
I’ll ship it off to the gulag just as soon as I can get a replacement.
what do you mean WHITE side?
Frankly, corruption by a politician should be a capital offense (ehh.. let’s say life sentence w/o parole). There should be no mercy – NONE – for these people. And I do not give two shits

Thanks Joe, He was a clusterf#@k for PA.
There is no way I can follow DC politics with these kind of clowns in charge. I honestly just don’t care. Someone please let me know if I need to get in a bunker.
You should know that the Coronavirus has a higher favorability rating than Congress. 😀

Ummmm…..would someone please take me out of purgatory…..Mathius, your answer is floating around somewhere.
Ok, I feel better already.
🙂
Hey, hey guys… I’m starting to wonder when Mexico is going to pay for that wall…
If I tried anything in this book, I’d be lucky if I only lost a limb.
One can only wish.
For the life of me, I’ve never understood that kind of thinking.
Why would anyone want a wife who is so subservient? Is this some kind of Boomer mindset that women should be glorified servants who also make babies?
Blech.
A short video from the riot worth watching..
Just following orders.
Whose orders?
Oooh… is this another “stand down order” scenario? Benghazi 2.0?
Pelosi’s orders for the House SAA and McConnel for the Senate SAA. They were warned and did nothing.
The hidden magic secret is when you lower taxes and kickstart the economy to the point where muy mucho money rolls in, SAVE IT. Three times now, Kennedy, Reagan and Trump we had teh opportunity to lower debt and just blew it. R’s and D’s.
Lowering taxes doesn’t “kickstart the economy.” Lowering taxes makes rich people richer and pads corporate profits.
Trickle Down is a fantasy.
It does not work. It has never worked. It will never work.
Neither does raising taxes…you will not get to the rich, either. Everyone will go offshore.
IT HAS ALWAYS WORKED BECAUSE IT CANNOT WORK ANY OTHER WAY.
“Say’s Law” el Stupido.
Apropos the day.
Congresswoman Sedition (R-CO) is apparently planning on filing articles of impeachment on already.
Reminds me of 2017.
We will win this battle, we are strong and brave and wise, and not foolhardy any more
It will pass

“a very large number of violent Trump supporters forced their way into the Capitol intent on an insurrection. That conclusion assumes an awful lot of facts not in evidence”
But, but but….. it was coup attempt, just look at cuff man or buffalo head! We would never assume facts not in evidence here at SUFA.
Sorry this goes with the previous post. Also only 3 people inside the Capitol died in the incursion, Ms. Babbitt, the officer and one lady that got trampled. The fourth was a heart attack and the last a suicide on a later date.
IT HAS ALWAYS WORKED BECAUSE IT CANNOT WORK ANY OTHER WAY.
“Say’s Law” el Stupido.
