  9. Dale A Albrecht says:

I thought based on the Colonels post the other day, TX put 6500 troops on the border replacing the vacationing US Border Patrol.

I just read that Abbott is refusing to activate the national guard. I find that beyond believable

    • Well, sir, it is a matter of semantics. The Texas National Guard is patrolling and monitoring the border. We even have arrest and detainment powers. Abbott has declared a State emergency and State funds are re-directed to the Texas National guard. The term “Activate” is only used in a National emergency. So, in retrospect, the National Guard is not activated.

I have referred to the Texas National Guard and the Texas State Guard. Two distinct different organizations. Here is the mission of the Texas State Guard:

The Texas State Guard, along with the Texas Army National Guard and Texas Air National Guard, is one of the three military branches comprising the Texas Military Department. The Texas State Guard provides Texas with support in-state missions, from emergency and disaster response to border security and community service. No matter the need, the Texas State Guard stands ready to serve–they are “Texans Serving Texas.”

The mission of the Texas State Guard (TXSG) is to provide mission-ready military forces to assist state and local authorities in times of state emergencies; to conduct homeland security and community service activities under the umbrella of Defense Support to Civil Authorities, and to augment the Texas Army National Guard and Texas Air National Guard as required.

From the volunteer units who fought for Texas Independence to the Travis Guards who provided home protection for citizens in the newly formed Texas Republic, to our current organization supporting state and local authorities, the Texas State Guard has a long and proud history of serving the citizens of Texas and remain Equal to the Task.

Headquartered at Camp Mabry in Austin, Texas, the TXSG functions as an organized state militia under the authority of Title 32 of the U.S. Code and Chapter 437 of the Texas Government Code.

Now, the Texas National Guard can be “activated” by the US Department of Defense in the case of National emergency. However, the National Guard derives its funding from the Department of Defense. To avoid conflicts of interest, the governor can send National Guard troops to the border for routine training missions. (Which he has)…the Texas State Guard is not under the Department of Defense and is funded solely by the Texas General Fund and budgeted accordingly. The Texas State Guard is 5,000 volunteers that work in conjunction with the National Guard. They have the same equipment and train in the same areas and expertise. To avoid the problem with the PCA (The Posse Comitatus Act is a United States federal law (18 U.S.C. § 1385, original at 20 Stat. 152) signed on , by President Rutherford B. Hayes which limits the powers of the federal government in the use of federal military personnel to enforce domestic policies within the United States.), the Texas STATE Guard has the arrest and detainment powers. They patrol right along with the NATIONAL Guard but relieve the National Guard for those purposes.

We, Texas, currently have 4,132 NATIONAL Guard on the border…supplemented by 4, 550 State Guard…..8600 all told.

Pretty ingenious strategy. if you ask me.

The FBI’ sticky fingers were all over this.

  17. Just A Citizen says:

The story is out there but still no mention among the MSM. Namely, the Colonels new 14,000 plus visitors from Haiti have been hold up in Mexico for weeks. MEXICO turned them on the US as retribution against Biden.

Of course since they have been in Mexico they no longer qualify as “refugees” in the US. So the Dem messaging can just suck eggs as far as I am concerned.

    • Well, it is a good thing that your daughter and I had dinner because things are getting dicey here…..Most of the Haitians were actually in Brazil and a couple of other countries….they stormed the border when Biden actually offered an indirect invitation. Since most of them have been in Central and South America for several years, they are not considered refugees by either the US or Mexico. mexico has started deportation as well.

Now,, not mention on the news, we are actually watching and counting who is being taken to San Antonio by bus. Each bus is shadowed by Guard and Department of Public Safety units to ensure that they are not let off in other cities. The destination of the flights are not all directed to Haiti…some are directed to other US cities….and they are not family units being flown out….

Our government is up to something sinister….

      • Dale A Albrecht says:

More and more countries are pushing back. They’re watching the huge increases of cases in countries that are considered fully vaccinated. They’re seeing this will be never ending. They’re seeing countries going into full dictatorial and police State mode. Plus they are not liking the contracts they’re being forced to sign absolving the pharmacuetical companies of any and liability.

  19. Dale A Albrecht says:

It appears that the government is only returning approximately 1/2 of the Haitians to Haiti. The rest are getting residency papers a d flown to parts unknown in the US

    • Actually Dale, we are monitoring every single on and the ration is 90 percent going into the US. Mostly to New blue cities like New York, Pittsburgh, Chicago…….only the “got away’s” are being caught in Texas and deported to Mexico. Despite what you are hearing and reading, Abbott IS arresting and detaining under State trespassing Laws. All of these Haitians you see on the TV are under the International Bridge in the 1 kilometer zone where we cannot enforce……what the tv is also not showing (at your request) is the security zone we have set up in just outside the 1 kilometer zone and we use a SHIT TON of horses……

We know how to crowd control. Now, one thing not also mentioned……we monitor every stop the bused make and we monitor every single flight plan of both military and commercial flights. The reason the Haitians are not being dropped off in Texas is because we arrest them on the spot and the Biden Administration does not want that on national TV…it proves their LIE.

      • S Kent Troy says:

Quick question I have already listed above. If Abbott calls out the NATIONAL Guard, can Biden Federalize them to take them away from him?

      • 1) Kamala would like a word with you and your horses

        2) First thing I thought of when I saw the cop/horse/Haitian photo was Good Job Colonel!!

  20. Just A Citizen says:

The violation of their Constitutional rights is appalling. What is being admitted here is that people were arrested on charge A and now want time to look at videos and collect as much information as possible to find another charge B, C or D that will win their case.

There should no longer be any question as to just how vindictive our Federal Govt. can be.

    • Dale A Albrecht says:

This is exactly what they did with Padilla after 9/11. 3 years before any official charges were made and not one was what he was arrested and held on. Only after all the Patriot act stuff come online did they officially indict him. They held him in one place for years which in a way was unconstitutional. As the case was working it’s way up to the Supreme court the government moved him to a military prison. The court then ruled basically the three years prior didnt exist and was moot. The case goes on. He convicted on that he maybe at some time he might actual do something and is serving 20 years in a super max prison.

  21. Just A Citizen says:

So is Schmidt’s claims about “politics” accurate? Interesting that his writings are during a period when “politics” was defined more as the process by which people come to decision and action, in the context of governing. 25. Just A Citizen says:

For those that believe Trump should run again, are you ready for this to continue on and on and on and on? Because this is not going to stop and the cries will only get louder.

CNN along with their other media friends are deliberately trying to end Trump’s second run and alienate the population into groups who hate each other. Note in this story how the “memo” which put forth the legal argument of how Pence could vote no is being portrayed as a “deliberate attempt” to overturn the election. As if the idea of Pence voting no is somehow divorced from all the evidence of manipulation that was never allowed to be addressed.

Oh and the use of “coup”. You know, that action to overthrow an existing Govt. As in the Trump govt which was still in place until Biden was sworn in. Certification of the Electoral College does not change the govt.

    https://www.cnn.com/2021/09/22/politics/donald-trump-new-revelations/index.html

I understand your point. I really do. BUT, I look at what he actually accomplished and what needs to be done and I don’t see him as the right person. What I want to see is someone not quite as toxic but who picks up on many of his priorities. This would vindicate him to some extent and make it all about We the People instead of Mr. Trump.

It would also be a slap in the face to the media and other operatives.

And of course, the problems are much bigger than just Mr. Trump. The R party really needs to bet its act together. Stand for something and then pursue it without hesitation.

    • S Kent Troy says:

Trump’s greatest success if you will was in bringing forth the NEXT 40 years literally overnight. What you have now is what you would have had incrementally. One would only hope (and pray) that the majority now “get it”.

If they do not get it, they do not deserve this country nor rights, nor freedom, nor prosperity. They deserve exactly what they will get, the four horsemen of the apocalypse.

      • Just A Citizen says:

        SK

I actually agree with you on his real accomplishment. He did not tear open a wound, he ripped off the scab that was hiding the infection. By simply existing as himself he sent the whole Politically Elite class into a major hissy fit. They have exposed themselves. As has the left, who thought they could use TDS to push thru their agenda.

The unfortunate thing about the majority getting the govt. they deserve is that it can literally kill the rest of us.

      • SKT, I too have hoped that many on the left would see the disaster they are supporting. It did not work with Mathius, unfortunately. It certainly was not apparent in the CA recall election. Maybe after three more years of this administration, the rot will be come apparent.

        • S Kent Troy says:

Did some math the other night. If the border just continues doing what it is doing, no increase beyond the 230,000 per month (hah!), then by the end of the Biteme administration we will have imported the equivalent of the entire population of New York City, some 9.5 million people.

Since they will all be living in culverts and refrigerator boxes, get ready for an emergency decree from the Presidential Palace forcing you folks with a extra bedroom or two to take them in.

Discussing the brain dead with my neighbor, also ex NYC he remarked that his older relatives, all Irish Democrats, are just fine with Christian Charity. I remarked to him, that if they want to know what their suburban hospitals will look like in a few years, they should visit Harlem Hospital on a Saturday evening. Not pretty, been there.

          • Agree with your numbers, if allowed to continue, the results will be devastating. I know Tucker has been pushing Abbot to seal the border. If he did it would create a Constitutional crisis. I can imagine troops being sent there to arrest Abbot and our friend the Col. But it is not just TX, NM, AZ and CA would also need to react. Fat chance with CA. But maybe that is the trigger we need to bring things to a head.

          • I’m wondering what the end goal is. They can’t vote and I don’t see that changing. However, Gov’t cookies being threatened could cause major civil unrest.

            • They think long term. First will be getting amnesty for DACA and those here for years. Then they will work on the rest. That is why the next two elections are critical. After that, the republic is lost.

            • S Kent Troy says:

Why do you and about 200,000,000 others insist they can’t vote? Who is going to stop them? You gonna go to the polls and perform citizens arrest?

Last month the High Court ruled that “remain in Mexico” is still valid. See anyone remaining there? See any effort to return them?

We are living in a land where there are no laws except what the Oligarchy says.. We are living in a land where there is no longer a Constitution where the Legislative branch has basically given up legislating and the Judicial Branch is gelded.

That old Joe Stalin quote constantly comes to mind, “How many divisions does the Pope have? Particularly relevant in an age when the Chief of the JCS reminds us, WHO HAS THE GUNS!

    • If Trump were the nominee, I would vote for him but I hope he does not run. First he is too old; second he brings too much baggage the distracts from the message and what needs to be done. We need someone who has the conservative ideology he pushed with the same fitting spirit w/o the constant self promotion. De Santis looks like the best choice to me at this time. The media and the Ds will roast anyone we put up. That will not stop. But Trump would give them too much fodder plus there are too many suffering from DTS.

We do need to overhaul the party. The Rinos must go if true progress is to be made. We have many huge problems that have been kicked down the road. Most of these problems can be solved if the president and his party has the will to solve them. Once solve, they will no longer be talking points but there will always be new problems to create issues. If I were the Rs I would usurp the term “progressive” and label the Ds regressive. Their solutions have not worked but their only answer is to double down.

    • As I see it, change Trump to any other name and the same stuff will continue. Although watching the Left melt down over Trump is entertaining and worth another 4 years.

    • For the record, I think Pence did the right thing. He had no authority to change anything. He could have voiced his opinion but that is it. I would have to ask about the memos being discussed, is this just war gaming or were their concrete actions taken. War gaming an scenario is not a coup. My ire is reserved for the state legislatures who did not act to enforce their authority over election procedures. I also am disgusted with R members of Congress who did not support an investigation.

    • My brother has always claimed the Medicare and Medicaid drive healthcare prices. They set the floor.

      • S Kent Troy says:

Federal Medicare and Medicaid have caused the astronomical rise in medical costs. Student loan guarantees have driven education through the roof and a variety of Federal Housing programs and loans have put homeownership at impossible costs.

I’ve always referred to these three as the tripod of inflation. Thanks, LBJ!

  26. Just A Citizen says:

I went data diving after reading an article about the Washington Governor criticizing Idaho because we are filling his hospitals. Regardless of whether that is true or not let me remind that pencil neck donkey that it was Washington State people who spread the damn thing to North Idaho. And those same people overran our parks, stores, restaurants and rivers/campgrounds when he shut down his state. So he can piss up a rope for all I care. I hope the Idaho State Patrol starts double checking all Freight moving from or to Washington State. Maybe we should set up Check Stations and start turning back his citizens trying to escape.

Anyway, as for the over load of hospitals I found this graph very enlightening. We have fewer ICU beds filled with Covid patients today than in January. But the screaming about impacts is far louder now. Why? Because they want to use it to guilt trip everyone into getting the shots.

    https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/data/hospitalization-7-day-trend

Now one of my biggest gripes in all this howling by the hospitals, etc is all the money that was handed out under “emergency” response to increase capacity while we all got locked up to “flatten the curve”, so said respond could take affect.

  27. Dale A Albrecht says:

    https://thepostmillennial.com/top-democrat-blames-labor-shortage-on-trump?utm_campaign=64474

So stemming the flow of illegals back during Trumps admin is causing todays labor shortage. These politicians need to have monthly drug tests. How about the people who were working a job before 2020 wont come back. Or people quitting or being fired because they refuse to take the jab.

This is self inflicted. I guess lawlessness is the name of the game today.

  28. S Kent Troy says:

There is a lot of talk about Governor Abbott calling out the Texas National Guard to patrol the border and turn back illegals.

I am not 100% sure this would work. Thinking back to Civil Rights days in the 1950’s and 1960’s various governors called out their Guard units to prevent integration. Eisenhower, Kennedy and perhaps Johnson then Federalized the Guard and took them away from the Governors.

    Comments are welcome.

    • Dale A Albrecht says:

Different scenario. The governors were using their guards to resist and violate Federal integration laws. This is the opposite. The federal government is violating it’s own laws and the States should have the right to defend itself against lawlessness.

I guess Schumer is telling companies and businesses you will not be prosecuted for hiring illegals

    • As the Col. has pointed out, TX also has the State Guard which could not be federalized. Ultimately it comes down to an individual choice as to which side one wants to align with. It got bloody the last time.

    • Just A Citizen says:

The TEXAS GAURD is NOT the National Guard. Nobody can federalize the Texas Guard.

The same cannot be said for other States. Idaho has some of its National Guard units in Texas helping out. Biden could move to federalize them and force them somewhere else.

But remember, the Governors have to agree to the action, in theory. Think back to when Dem Governors refused to sign onto Mr. Trump’s deployment of the Guard Units to the border.

    • S Kent Troy says:

Yes, the Texas STATE Guard is beholding to Texas only. I was in the NY Guard many years back myself, also not federal.

Regarding the “legality” issue, the White House can argue that it has the only authority over the national border, then call up the Guard. So, while I agree with Dale on the feds not doing their job, there is nothing to prevent Biden from saying “Yes we are, we have it under control, Texas is acting illegally.” Then the whole thing winds up in the courts. Biden has NO problem with outright lies. The media has no problem with either believing him or covering the lies for the brighter stars of the evening news.

The crisis comes when the Feds order the National Guard to take on and disperse the State Guard. National Guard commanders could be relieved immediately by regular Army commanders. I remember that tidbit from studying the “call ups” in World War II when all but one National Guard division commander was relieved on activation.

  29. S Kent Troy says:
  30. In some of my blogging on the local newspaper site, I am going to try to usurp the term “progressive”. We want to improve things which means actually solving problems. The current debate I am having is about voter ID. So I have framed it that if we want to progress towards more secure elections, than ID laws are one of the easiest and cheapest solutions. If along the way mistakes are made, i.e., certain specific groups are accidental disenfranchised, we should actively work with them to fix the issue. It was pointed out that in Wisc. some college students could not use their college IDs to vote in 2016 because they did not have an address on them. My initial response was that colleges only recognize domicile address as true addresses hence these voters should be voting in their home districts not in the college town where they are only temporary residents. Another poster came to my rescue and pointed out that Gov. Walker had indeed created a temporary exemption for the college IDs.

In any case, I think I will start labeling the left as regressive and using progressive as a term for people who actually want to solve problems.

    • Just A Citizen says:

They are not only REGRESSIVE in their ideas but they are the ones trying to “conserve” the status quo. They are the modern “conservatives”, if we stuck to true definitions.

    • Dale A Albrecht says:

Just like in Burlington VT years ago. For some reason they started allowing university students, registered as “Out of State” to vote. Insuring Bernie Sanders 1st win in the political arena and forever changed the face of Vermont.

What I feel is strange is that while Bernie and others rail for diversity. A Vermont ranks either 2nd or 3rd as the least diverse States in the nation. It’s the other States who are racist.

      • S Kent Troy says:

That was a Federal Court decision allowing the little ones to declare their “home of record” to be the university. I always wondered if anyone ever checked to see if they voted at Mom and Dad’s too? But ….. that’s one of those “uncomfortable” questions regarding the voting fraud that DOESNOTEXIST!

  32. Just A Citizen says:

Well here is an absolute garbage story.

    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/covid-variants-more-airborne-more-contagious/

Note: I saw the storyline yesterday about Covid now being more deadly than the Spanish Flu. Pure crap, sorry for my grumpy mood this morning but it is what it is. They used total numbers killed today vs. in 1917 to make that claim. Obviously if you applied the 1917 “RATE” of death you would have far more dead today that we actually have.

Now for the claim of the story. The story itself simply shows that the new variants produce more virus in the exhaled air. That is NOT evidence of it becoming “more airborne”. That is simply a reflection of viral load.

One question I have had about masks and never saw any answers. What happens to a sick person who wears a mask? That is are they not re-infecting themselves, thus increasing viral load and thus increasing chances of severe illness?

    • Dale A Albrecht says:

I was just writing about that on my FB page. 1.8 billion people in 1918. 17.4 million deaths from the Spanish Flu in 18 months. Plus WWI just ended where 20 million were killed, both military and civilian

Today there are 7.67 billion inhabitants on earth and covid in gross #’s has caused 4.6 million deaths over 18 months.

So we have 4.26X more in population and 3.78X less deaths than with the Spanish flu that’s in just raw #’s. Covid is nothing by comparison

Yet the hype by politicians, media and the alphabet soup medical experts say covid is the deadliest pandemic ever in the history of mankind.

      • Compared to the black Plague in the 1300’s, this virus is a piker. 30% to 50% of Europeans died as did a large number of Chinese. Now i ask if the CDC was not prepared for this exaggerated flu, what would they do with a real pandemic?

        • Dale A Albrecht says:

They can only estimate the global deaths from that 4 year epidemic of the plague in the later part of the middle ages. “Experts ” estimate 40%.though even today the bubonic plague still has a mortality rate of 1-15 percent if treated in time. 50% mortality if NOT.
A variant called Septicemic plague mortality of 40% if treated. 100% if untreated.

Now just for Smallpox. Since 1900 300 million died worldwide. Though allegedly eradicated it is making a resurgence. The mortality rate is 30%
Whole armies had been literally wiped out. For one the American revolutionary army that attacked Canada.

Though according to WHO smallpox was officially eradicated in 1980 with no known NATURAL cases of the disease reported.. however “Experts” say we should be prepared for a resurgence of the disease with “Global Wsrming” and the frozen tundra thaws.

    • Utter rubbish. More people will be scared to death than die of unfrozen tundra small pox. Small pox has no animal hosts which is why it was eradicated. The biggest small pox threat is the retains kept in bio-weapons labs.

      • Dale A Albrecht says:

Of course it is. I’m just relaying a message from researcher’s that are being paid to keep us perpetually afraid

    • I might also point out that parts of the tundra periodically thaw due to natural changes in the weather. I have not heard of any resulting cases.

      • Dale A Albrecht says:

In the WHO comment on eradicating of smallpox was since 1980 there have been no NATURAL cases of Smallpox. That ties with your comment about bio weapons labs namely sites like Ft Dettrick

      • S Kent Troy says:

I want to say that about 20 years back they were searching the tundra for uncorrupted 1918 flu germs.

  38. https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid19/excess_deaths.htm

Interesting graphs of mortality rate by country and state.

    • Dale A Albrecht says:

The charts that were daily updated globally always had the US head and shoulders worst. Then smaller countries etc implying SEE how bad we are. But they were comparing 330 million against 65 million. If you took 5 countries of the EU where their population equaled 330 million they had a much worse mortality rate.

I’m not arguing the overall padded numbers. But I can take our local city #’s roll to county then to State then to the US. The numbers match. Some countries seem abnormally low. Like China. They had the initial spike then zero.

Look in the parking lots and surrounding west Texas areas of Friday night blue chip football…..you will find almost as many horses as cars.

          • I haven’t seen anything that makes me think the vaccines are dangerous, certainly not more dangerous than getting the virus, but they don’t seem to be as good at preventing the virus as was hoped ( or advertised). The numbers seem to indicate that it helps prevent hospitalizations and deaths, but it’s not a sure deal there either. I would personally still recommend it to people, but their mandates are b.s. since you can still get it and pass it to others when vaccinated. I’ve known several vaccinated people who got it anyway. I had the Pfizer vaccine, but I doubt I’ll go in for the booster.

They will make up stuff, if they can’t find anything.

  50. Just A Citizen says:

Exactly what kind of hubris does it require to claim a 3.5 Trillion dollar expenditure will cost us “nothing”?????

I will tell you. That comes from those who think of themselves as a King or Ruler of the low life populace. Only then would you find people saying expenses cost nothing and that tax cuts are actual costs. They view the world thru their eyes and ego, nay that would be arrogance, as the Elite Ruling Class. Only the King could tax his subjects and spend the money and claim it cost the KING NOTHING. Only a King would view tax cuts to the people as a COST TO THE KING.

…..been long time away (again) – but here goes. I voted for Joe – knowing what I know today…..I’d still vote him. Not because I think he (or whoever is behind him) is doing a great job. He’s doing a only slightly less shitty job than the guy before him. I have to believe Joe is one term. And there is no path for Harris. I’m still smack dab in the middle of a pivotal PA County – many of our closest “R” friends that voted Joe in 2020 have made it clear that he’s not a credible candidate in 2024. Many of the same express that neither is DJT.

    • Happy belated Birthday , Ray!

I have contempt for Biden , not much else to say.

    • Just A Citizen says:

      Ray

Good to see you still around. Question. How exactly do you define or summarize a “slightly less shitty job than the guy before him”?

Some explanation is needed with regard to how you could think he is not as bad at this point.

      • S Kent Troy says:

Indeed Ray, Just how do you do that? Seems to me, with my roots firmly planted in NE Pennsylvania, Biteme plans to turn the place into a ghost town.

His ignoring two Supreme decisions, something that I think Lincoln didn’t even do would indicate Biteme has just called quits on the Republic.

You would have to show me some really good evidence that DJT was somehow on that path.

        • Ray Hawkins says:

Go to google machine. Type in National Debt trendline. Start there. Also to boot….DJT bragged was that he what….remade the entire military apparatus? From no bullets to beeyuns and beeyuns of bullets right? Yet……the second the Taliturds came knockin on every Afghan town or government office everyone was already gone or winked and said….”come on in”. Ask yourself how the hell that happened? Did the military/intelligence apparatus somehow….miraculously disappear the moment Joe took office? (How did none of them have any inkling whatsoever of this mounting cluster?) Of course it didn’t. It didn’t because Trump did a piss poor job of prosecuting and ending the war…..as did the guy for 8 years before him…..and the guy 8 years before him.

          • This constant blame the last guy crap the Left likes to claim (it was Bush’s fault for the first 4 years of Obama) Is a lame excuse for the failures of the Democrats. Trump handed Biden an ongoing process that was not complete. Biden fucked it all up by himself because HE wanted the victory lap. Sorry Ray, can’t blame the last guy this time, it’s ALL on Dementia Joe.

National debt…..Both parties engage in lip service and nothing will ever change until it all collapses.

Southern border…..ALL Bidens fault, period. If I were President this would not be happening. I do wonder what the end game is because the Crats are doing this for a reason and I doubt it’s votes.

We are heading towards some issues that are hitting home. Gas prices, all prices in general, shortages that are starting to appear and will get worse etc. We can’t fix DC, maybe it’s time to tell them to pound sand and ignore them.

Question to ponder…. Why wasn’t abortion codified in law when the Crats had the chances?

      • Ray Hawkins says:

Intentionally vague and subjective I am being. He had four years – national debt skyrocketed even pre-covid under his watch. He gets that hair shirt. We negotiated with the Taliban……err the Afghan Terrorists. Trump tossed Joe a giant shit sandwich – rather than toss it….Joe ate it. Buck stops here is fine….but us navel gazers don;t give you the pass when create a colossal crisis out of thin air. You know I am harsh critic of leadership…..effectiveness of leaders. Trump had so many wins in his grasp – but his own deep narcissism and thirst for the red meat crowd jacked himself up. Those Southern Border walls/enhanced security look mighty interesting now don’t they? Squandered opportunity that created nonsensical political battles. Now a total shit show and Joe gets that scarlet letter. Those Haitians didn’t magically airlift off the island right to the Texas border.

My mood to this has just gone….harder. Go hard on term limits. Do it right now. Kick these lifetime politicians out on their asses now. All of them.

POTUS? Big job means big person means big pants to wear. Last guy? A clownish make-up/image obsessed dipshit who could never quite get the money shot he wanted. Now, only a slightly better but equally incompetent doofus – we go from fours of leading by….literally riffing off the cuff to (please God) only fours years of someone’s grandpa reading whatever the f@&k they whisper in his ear or place on the teleprompter.

        Mean tweets versus Captain Dementia.

Neither wins because we all lost.

        • S Kent Troy says:

Sorry I think you missed the boat, the big boat, the Titanic on most of that.

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, or so I have been told. If perhaps we had NOT had to deal with Russia, Russia, Russia for almost THREEFUC***G years, the wall might have gotten done. If we did not have to deal with the go along-get along Romney’s, Grahams, and McConnel’s, perhaps we could have started working on teh budget. If frigging coved hadn’t hit perhaps the tax cuts would have resulted in huge new income streams for the Feds as they did under Kennedy and Reagan. If, If, If. Most especially if that dumbassed McConnell had gone along with the crummy $ 2,000 buck “stimulus” instead of demonstrating his “fiscal responsibility” and picked up at least ONE of those Georgia seats. perhaps we would not be on the verge of the largest pork bill in all of human history.

Yes, yes, yes, TRUE believers wanting 100% of everything which then turns into 100% of absolutely nothing rather than taking the 50% and building on it.

          • Ray Hawkins says:

This might sting a little – that’s ok – I intend it to. Everything you wrote rings like much of the “not my fault” -isms uttered from DJT during and after his term in his office. Its super easy to take credit for the good things – whether you were materially involved or not at all in the success. A classic example of poor leadership is he who seeks to blame first for things that were partially or entirely within their scope of control or influence. Its tired. Its old. Its McConnell’s fault, its Lindsey, Mueller, Russia, deep State, blah blah blah.

  52. Just A Citizen says:

Maybe before we implant humans with chips and interface with AI to “enhance” our intelligence we should deal with the moral rot among humans. What could go wrong with a superior intellect who has no foundational values to prevent just doing what he or she wants. Because after all, they are more intelligent.

    https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2021/09/elon_musks_crusade_to_save_you__by_destroying_your_humanity.html

I was doing some reading last night on the Viking era and cultures. Yes, plural. I am thinking this may be where I get my strong sense that Honor is among the most important values. That a person’s reputation is paramount to success. Turns out the core value among all the Norse was this sense of Honor being foundational. Then again, maybe I just got it off some clever poster. 🙂

    • S Kent Troy says:

Killing old people, people with defects and unwanted babies MAKES perfect logical sense. That is what the problem comes down to when “morality”, a totally artificial human construct is not applied to the equation.

Then we can work on lower IQ’s and people who become “obsolete” like librarians.

  53. Dale A Albrecht says:

Being cynical here, anyone want to bet the government will use the ploy, getting the 30,000 more Haitians through the gate, ” We’re just reconnecting families of those that came in before” ignoring that those before just were dispersed across the country like dust in the wind.

I didnt know the Border Patrol had that many French/Creole speakers enabling them to process 9,000 migrants WOP’s in the blink of an eye?

    • Ray Hawkins says:

Serious question – how in the hell do they allege they’ll track all these people? Feds don’t have a good track record keeping track of things. When do the golly-jee moments start when these folks don’t show up for hearings? Media won’t report on it.

  54. Dale A Albrecht says:

So it’s unfair if taxes are increased on corporations and businesses, for them to raise their prices. 🤔

Here’s a question for the smart analytical folks here.
If we in America and the west had pumped the trillions of dollars and technical know how plus moving our industry and permitted unfettered enrollment into our highest universities to Russia and Russians wouldnt their communist system still exist? They collapsed yet we still regard them as that bad old bear requiring being held in a cage or killed.

Yet a 180 degree reverse in policy to a far more repressive and expanding empire with the Chinese….if we had being the good anti-communist government we are (sarc) followed the same trade and technical policies with china as we did and do with Russia wouldnt China’s communist government collapsed decades ago?

    • What’s to analyze……the answer is yes.

      • Dale A Albrecht says:

Thanks…I needed that affirmation. Instead of being called delusional elsewhere.
If you guys need help I’ll come for a price.

    • There is an old Chinese military strategy of encircling your enemy with friends thus obviated the need for a war. This is what we did with the USSR during the Cold War. The political situation has now reversed itself. So per this theory we should be befriending Russian and encircling China.

    • I think Trump was correct with his gut instinct to become more friendly politically and economically with Russia but his efforts were thwarted by the Russian hoax nonsense. Russia is not the military threat they once were. China is rising rapidly and could be a huge threat. They have an excessive male population which is always problematic. However, any war with China will be Naval, air and technical. They will use alternate means to attack us such as collapsing our infrastructure. bioweapons, EMPs, killing our satellites, destroying Wall Street, etc. We would be fools to get into a land war with Chine but then we seem to have an abundance of fools in DC.

  59. Dale A Albrecht says:

I guess it would happen sooner or later. Details released by the police are really sketchy. Still under investigation. I was heading out to dinner last night. A neighbor was asking me if I knew anything about a house around the corner, just up for sale. Another vehicle stopped and the new person said three police cars were on the other side of the development. No light or sirens. Anyway when I came home at 2300 everything was blocked off. Just about every police car, rescue and fire trucks were here every light flashing and everyone wearing bullet proof vests.
Apparently the original police call was asking for a “welfare” check. But it turned into an ambush of the officers. Theyve released no names or disposition only that one officer was medivac’d out to a larger medical facility. The police had everything locked down. Even though I was parked on a side road, they told me to leave the standoff was still ongoing. Just go back to town and check into a hotel. Luckily the Courtyard by Marriot had one room left on a busy fall friday.
With everyone in the neighborhood being active military, or retired veterans or just plain veteran and most Marines at Cherry Point Marine Corp Air Base who knows what snapped.

    • Dale A Albrecht says:

Then on top of that in town there was another shooting this early morning. They did post the photos of the thugs. Two of the most viscous looking persons of color all decked out with dreadlocks. I dont believe they survived. But again details at 1000 AM are limited

  61. Dale A Albrecht says:

Update on the standoff and ultimate firefight. The guy was methed out. There were several officers living on that street. He was threatening their families with a machete. The incident at first got defused. Then it started up again. Then the shooting started. My neighbor says several surrounding houses there are shot up. Lucky nobody else was hurt, but one officer and the assailant. The guy was shooting out. The windows on his house are all shot out. The guy took several rounds a d still wouldnt go down. I wonder if the sheriffs Dept will go to a heavier caliber handgun.

    • S Kent Troy says:

12 Gauge should do the job. Failing that an old surplus M-79 with buckshot or flechette, should do wonders.

      • Dale A Albrecht says:

Dont forget the police/sheriffs are supposed to be gentle and show restraint, even though the guy wasnt.

        • There’s one less meth head you have to worry about. How many more, and where do they live? Sad we all have to worry about stuff like that.

          • Dale A Albrecht says:

A couple hours after the incident in my neighborhood there was another shooting handled by the city officers. The sheriffs Dept handled ours. The two thugs with their dreds were not doing well. Anyway I was up in town having dinner and a couple had been ejected from a place across the street. They came in and started being abusive. I knew one of them. She’s an addict and alcoholic. Campaigning to legalize drugs. Trouble. People are getting jumpy. We have concealed and open carry here. Somebody is going to really get hurt. I do not mean between perps and police. But people caught in the crossfire troublemakers and others.
When I lived in Sicily 42 years ago your radar had to be fine tuned. That shits flowed here.

            • Dale A Albrecht says:

I just found out one of the reasons the sheriffs Dept was so long in ending the shooting and standoff. Besides the two additional deputies trapped in the house there were little children in there also. The deputies that responded later could not just blow the house away without inflicting more casualties than that had already occurred. .

        • That is restraint
