Differences in Sex Education Philosophy Part II

The discussion on Monday night’s part of of the sex education was lively and I felt as though there were a lot of points of view put out there but I didn’t feel as though the subject accomplished much in terms of productive discussion. I will put that on me for the way that I presented the issue, as it seemed as though I perhaps framed the issue a little too much. Not that I am not going to put my point of view out there mind you. The problem was that when it comes to the LGBT issues there are a lot of folks that simply have their mind made up because it is those issue and it kept us from getting into the part of the debate that I felt is most important…. and that is whether, or how much, we should allow sexual education topics to be taught in the classroom. 

Guest Commentary… A View on Education

We come to yet another Friday night with a guest commentary that is right in line with the discussions around public education that we have been having throughout the week. I think that education is a vitally important subject for us to be talking about. Those that we most disagree with in regard to our philosophy on freedom and liberty are the result of use of our public education system to indoctrinate our youth into the system and create a false understanding of the state and what it represents. Many of us here are finding, albeit later in life, that what we were told in school was less than 100% honest. If we are to get our country back to greatness, it begins with an in depth understanding of our public schools. Their purpose, their methods, and their failures. Only in understanding how much intent went into transforming the schools to help their cause can we start to understand how enormous the task is before us.

The Importance of Understanding the Past

In keeping with the day of relaxation that I set up for myself today, I decided that I wanted to write a post that was based completely on opinion, no research, no digging around for information. Just my opinion out there for the world to tear apart. That way I was still able to spend the entire day with my wife and even watch a bit of the hockey playoffs and a movie with her. Unfortunately the movie was horrible (“The Spirit”, the only bright spot being a very sexy Eva Mendes) and the hockey game ended with my team taking a loss at home. But that did not dampen my spirit, as my wife prepared a wonderful dinner and I did get to stare at her all day, which is always a good thing.

Silencing Christianity

As many of you may recall, I recently wrote a post suggesting that the religious right be minimized in the Republican platform and stripped of power in setting the agenda. I laid out my reasoning. Some agreed and some disagreed. I was asked yesterday about a current trend in discrimination against christians in America. I offered to write a post about it because there were certainly a few different religious discussions threatening to break out. Couple this with the recent discussion I saw about Muslims and I feel like perhaps the time has come for a bit of a religious discussion. I enter into the territory with trepidation, however….

The Brainwashing of Our Children

I have really been debating whether to post this or not. G.A. Rowe sent this video to me, along with his outrage that it was happening right under our noses. It was a week before I had a chance to view the video. I was stunned into silence when I finally found the time. We have often talked on this site about the ways that the public schools have become indoctrination centers and how our children are being manipulated into what the government wants them to know or believe. It is an outrage. So to see this video sent a wave of anger through me that was difficult to swallow. So I am going to share it with all of my readers because of the manipulation of the children involved, not necessarily because of the message the video was attempting to put across.

Government as Your New Daddy

I was sitting here thinking about what I want to write about tonight. I jumped over to Fox News and saw this story and I realized that regardless of what I wanted to write about I was going to write about this because it fired me up. Furthermore I think this topic is one that I have not dedicated nearly enough time to over the last couple of months on the site. I say not nearly enough time because I think it is one of the BIGGEST problems in America today and one of the things we need badly to overcome. The socialist agenda has been furthered so well because we are letting them get to our children before we have the chance to raise them ourselves. We are in this situation today because this problem was not addressed 25 years ago when it first started to rear its socialist head…
